Thanks for posting this. I have a Lanchester 10 in the stable and this look of the bike certainly appeals. At some point I can foresee the time when I will need to get rid of my overweight top heavy sports/tourer and one of these might be just the job.
If you don't mind I have a question about handling. I read some place that they are "a bit wobbly" around the bends due to the frame not being the most rigid thing going. Would you say that was a fair assessment?
Perhaps the author of the article was simply nervous of riding someone's pride and joy, not used to classics or maybe just not a good rider.
I remember seeing a tv program many years ago, which contained a short clip of the actor Ewan McGregor on his S7 looking very wobbly indeed. I'm a little apprehensive to spend 8-10k on a bike that I haven't ridden before, only to find out I really don't like it.

Hi, my pleasure. Context is everything, they’re a 75 year old bike, possibly (probably) with worn bushes and linkages and it’s impossible to consider them in a modern context with regards to handling. Undamped forks +plungers+balloon tyres do not an r1 make🤣
But, they’re extremely comfortable and not ‘wobbly’ in any way. Bouncy? Yes. Unsafe? No.
