One of my favorite lines of all time. Also just the way that Andrew says “Back off.” In the pool scene. He's so... deliciously demented. He's evil in the most attractive of ways. I love his portrayal of the character so much! Sinuous and sensual, he is truly my favourite form of villainous character. I do so admire him for that, him being of course Andrew not Jim.
Imagine acting alongside Andrew Scott in that final scene, must have taken so many takes to get that without someone around him falling into fits of laughter
Jim really is an incredibly satisfying bad guy. He’s smart enough to play a normal person and trick them into believing anything he tells them, he’s intelligent enough to know how to really hurt people instead of just inconvenience them, and he’s so integrated into human life that he has built a web for himself to spread his craziness easily. He doesn’t do everything alone all the time and he doesn’t simply do things for no purpose. Everything has a point to drive home or a life to destroy. I admire his psychotic self, the fact that we can never tell when he’ll shout or when he’ll be talking like he’s perfectly sane. Andrew Scott was perfect for this role as well. Props to him for acting so perfectly!!!
The scene where he pretends that he is someone else and the journalist that backs him up, proves how an a amazing actor he is. Th switch between 2 characters is amazing. I loved watching him act in sherlock
Portraying Moriarty like this was genius. If he were like any other villain I would forget him. But this here is amazing. I get that half the planet is in love with him, but it you're not, he's very easy to hate. Yet at the same time, you still enjoy having him around because he's so entertaining in his calculated madness.
That 'Burn the heart out of you' line is my favourite villainous quote in any movie or TV show I've come across. And the delivery is absolutely superb - a perfect blend of menace and insanity, nonchalance and hubris. Scott is an absolutely extraordinary actor, so underrated.

I`m here after Fleabag, trying to understand the amazing sexiness of Andrew Scott and I can`t get it how this totally normal looking guy has this power inside him!
Comparing the two actors I find Andrew Scott much more interesting. His voice and facial expressions are the mark of a great stage actor. From soft and gentle to roaring like a storm. It is very difficult for a physically beautiful human being to channel ugliness and pain and not over think it. Just let it happen. Benedict Cumberbatch is also a good actor but in Andrew Scott I find much more depth and an actor not afraid to bare a glimpse of his soul when he immerses himself in a character. Not just reading lines but transforming into the character. Becoming the story. That is why I find the idea that the character of Jim Moriarty to be fascinated by fairy tales so lovely and fitting to his persona. That Jim Moriarty is also a math professor is interesting because math is also a universal language in and of itself. When humans send rockets into space they leave messages using math equations so the finders of the messages will know that the human beings of our planet Earth are or were capable of thought and reason.
"And honey you should see me in a crown..." when I first heard this I actually laughed out loud, and yelled at myself "Dear lord! Andrew Scott!
