I met Don at a Lee Scratch Perry concert in Leicester around 10 years ago. We went outside to smoke and the cheeky boy smoked most of my Marlboros. Then I met him again at Alexandra Palace where he was doing a DJ set. He's a top man as well as a legend in both Reggae/Dub but in the Punk scene. Respect.
Big Ups & Mad Love to the Rebel Dread!! Thank you Don Letts for sharing your art, intelligence, enlightenment and may you continue to do so for many, many years to come! Your influence, knowledge and art stretches like arms around the world and unites us all! 1Love! ~ A fan, and a friend from the southeastern United States. ❤💛💚🏁🏳🌈🏳⚧❤💛💚
Every generation that comes think they know better than the one that went before, good to see father and son hanging out
… I’m not talking bout the roots in the land but talking bout the roots in the man……
Excellent. Don still as relevant today as he was back then

nice documentary enjoyed
Really enjoyed this!
That intro is extremly epic!!!
Pama International 'Equality & Justice For All'
Anyone know what that track near the end is? Sounds like the London Posse?
vous aussi on vous a forcé à regarder la vidéo ??
Love the footage at 201:10 of Chrissie Hynde showing Viv Albertine and Palmolive how to play the guitar.
Is there an on line radio station which plays this dub or roots music that someone can recommend ? I’m probably as old as Don but in the middle of nowhere between 2 large towns both 15 miles in either direction of which neither have anything interesting on the air. ❤️🏴👍
His hair looks great. Stop hiding it in that scruffy hat Don!
Waaaaah!
Hey. Anyone know the tune playing from 28:10 ?
Anyone know the name of the tune that comes in at 21.33?
ask the question,question the answer..
Check the credits at the end. Apparently "pama international - question the answer"
The Clash ?
It has always confused me to hear the Clash referenced when drawing a line between punk and reggae.
Of course there is a line but its a bit of a thin frayed sort of line compared to the bold, strident and purposeful one that joins up the Ruts with reggae.
The Ruts for me were more punk and played far better sounding, more varied and more heartfelt reggae .
where is the rest ? That came to a screeching halt wtf !?
So is there any proof that this man is of partial jewish ancestry?
sons seems not to care less....pity
correction...Don wasn't around a few years..i get it
Could someone please tell me the name of artist/singer at 5.22, cracking wee reggae rhythm and I need to know it!!
CHANT DOWN BABYLON!
check his son putting posters on top of others. Faux pas mate!
Anyone know the song that starts at 5:23?
+ErikVaughnDillinger Shazam says it's "Equality and justice for all" by Pama International ;)
Thanks :)
Is it me or does jet not care too much about his roots?
Is that Sly Dunbar at 11:05 ?
Lol yeah it does look a bit like him doesn't it? But i'm pretty sure it's not him
It is. They just blended that short sequence into this docu for some reason.
so called rastaman using profanity! not once did I he mentioned the name of the almighty God! worldly rasta!!
Never ind , my bad ,i got it
I despised Big Audio Dynamite. But, I've always liked Don with his background in the punk scene.
Too much about his kid's dubstep
trying to keep it relevant to a new generation, there's a moderate splash of other stuff in there though
Third Generation British Born White I guess Since 1600. Its trible we carn't survive as lone sheep. With love. Pam.
True ......music is a saviour ....one has to search out the true originals though. Don't believe Don has heart for "dubstep" .....it's too cold machine like..unless he tries to "get with it" for his son...... Hardly any cool 70's dub here , but this lousy sleep inducing dubstep. Shame on you Letts .
Seems more a case of "Stuporsonic" 👍🥺 dad giving his son's career a step up.....
Bytheway....after Letts left ,B A D became bad very fucking fast "bad" as in "lousy" ......

Dubstep is boring an it ain't sayin much
real dub are the versions on israel vibrations same song record or some of the dubs from burning spear. fuck dubstep two good words put into crap music.
It was not meant too, it's instrumental dance music, you fool
towards the end of the video he says he is 53 years old and he still doesn't know what is going on! basically he is saying that he still don't know his perpose in life! look to God my friends and you will find true meaning and satisfaction in your life! apart from God we are all lost including me! Jesus is the answer people!!!
ok ok ok we get it
Dub step is dead, and thank fuck for that
