I used to live in Kamong Ayer but I moved away. It was fun and quite peaceful, the houses are very close which leads to everyone knowing each other... but it's quite dangerous though, if one house ever catches fire, chaos will happen and a lot of houses would end up burning, I was quite fortunate that didn't happen to me. But anyways, I loved the video, hope you can visit more places here next time!
As a fellow citizen, thanks for visiting Brunei Mr Wade! I'm quite surprised the way you said 'bandar' as the capital and that's what locals usually called that lol! If you don't know, Bandar literally means a City. Sometimes we refer to it as BSB
3:06 the reason they have the same style is because the government needed to accommodate the people who lost their houses due to a fire that happened in the area. Ikr fire, at an area that is supposed to have an abundance on water. Ironic lol. The fact that the houses were made out of wood didn't help. At 3:50 you can see the walkway being abruptly cutoff because of the fire and at 4:11, you can see empty stilts that could've come from a burned down house
I'm disappointed you didn't get a chance to visit the Ulu Temburong National Park! A lot of tourists usually go for that place. A lot of people on youtube anyway. I still hope you had a good time in Brunei. Cheers
Hmm...I believe I saw sewer pipes leading into the houses. Sinks seem to drain right into the water below, but I believe waste is shipped out to a sanitation plant somewhere, but I could be wrong.
Thank you. This was done completely with a Sony a6000 with the kit lens. I brought a very stripped down array of cameras on this trip. Usually I run five or six different cameras.
Thank you so much for taking me to places I will probably never ever get to go to.
jerrywh3 Thank you, very much appreciated.

Thank you! That's true. It would be interesting to make a film about the fire department there.

Thanks for the adventure, you tell a good story
jonnywaselectric No, thank you for watching..
Very interesting community.
Excellent tour, thank you. What about toilets? Do they flush into the water below or a sewer system?

+Vagabond Journey yes your were right
Its all centralised sewer except rural areas. Im frm Brunei
The old traditional houses still direct flush to the river but plan is in consideration how to tackle the issues.
Nice, what camera do you used to record this?

How long did you eventually stay in Brunei? Full disclosure: i am a local Bruneian. Seems like you did not find much to write about Brunei.
