Born and raised in Southern California, our idea of off-roading has always been about exploring the wide open desert, high mountain peaks and crawling over big rocks. Of course, there is really is so much more to off-roading than just that and, thanks to Off Road Evolution's JK-Experience, presented by Nitto Tire, we got a chance to experience for ourselves how the Heartland of America plays!
In this first of a 3 part WAYALIFE film series, you will see the beginning of our week long adventure which started in Terra Haute, Indiana and got us playing out in the hills of the Red Bird Off Road Park. For most of us, this was our first time playing in real Heartland of America mud and, thanks to a little storm known as Hurricane Isaac dumping 6" of rain before we got there, it was one hell of an experience!

Just came across this video being I'm a first time Jeep owner ('17 JKU Rubicon Hard Rock). I grew up in Bloomfield, and my cousin actually invented the handyman jack back in 1906, James Pearson. I'm sure there were different variations, but my family has always used and depended on these handyman jacks. Very cool to see this video of Dugger and Bloomfield, and the Harrah family being gracious to you all. Love the videos!

I live in Rhode Island, and the mud and snow is our only playground. I drive a Jeep WK and love every second of it. If i had the money. It'd be a dream to come and join all of you guys. Looks like a great time.

for us at WAYALIFE, yes. Our Jeeps are our daily drivers and we never tow them anywhere regardless of the destination or how hard the trail is once we get there.

I love their reaction to the mentioned of mud. I live in Virginia. When we go four wheeling with our Jeeps there is ALWAYS mud.

This video really shows how awesome the off road community is!! You really feel like a part of a family. Some of the coolest people I have met are complete strangers out in the trails that I will never see again, but we talk like we have known each other for years. Just an all around AWESOME vid that makes me wanna go out and ride right now!!!
It always impresses me how well such mild tread patterns perform in mud. It might just be because of the size of the tyres but there doesnt seem to be much in the way of open tread patterns on any of these cars. A testament to the capability of the tyre designers!

The JK is a current model that is being manufactured and it's what the aftermarket industry is focused on. As you seemed to have missed, ALL the videos here are presented by PROJECT-JK as in, the Jeep JK Wrangler and NOT, TJ, XJ, CJ, etc. Project-JK is an online magazine dedicated to the JK and it's what pays the bills and makes videos like this possible.
Part 2 is out already and there is a link in the description that'll take you there. Part 3 will be out by March.

I live it the heartland and did that kind of wheeling once. It took forever to get the mud out of all the nook and crannies. We have plenty of dry times, that's when I go. I will say though you guys did great considering what your used to!
