I beg to differ. IMHO, he has always had a spot in the annals of rock/guitar history. This band repertoire is a gorgeous litany of varying styles/sounds which they all execute well.
@@TheLyricahhe’s in a few episodes of Z rock. A mockumentary style show with several comics and musicians making guest appearances. Most episodes are free on UA-cam. The first one with Dave Navarro is s1 episode 6 (I think, or 7) Hilarious though, he plays a caricature of himself and it’s gold
saw 'em at The Roxy, many many yrs ago...must've been '86 or so...I was still in the Marines..stationed at Camp Pendleton..so I drove up to LA. They looked like they just walked all the way up from Venice..sweaty, dirty looking, Perry was high as fuck....Dave kept pickin his nose for some reason, and they looked like they didnt wanna be there. The fucking AC system, broke...and me, my cousin and little brother was half a second away from leaving...the band plugged in..it got LOUD AS SHIT...we turned back around, and Janes, came thru like a fuckin freight train...will never forget it. They damn near looked asleep. But when it was time to crack it, they cracked the fuck out of that joint.
They were great when they were hungry, saw them many times as the "house band" at Scream at the Embassy in Hollywood and even before at the Santa Monica civic in late 86' great band, then Perry went weird and his ego took control.
It was one of his final shows with the band. They were scheduled to do the shows a year earlier but Perkins hurt his arm. So these were make up shows. IMO they have not sounded this good since!
being at a janes addiction concert where white folk are singing along joyfully to the lyrics to this song, publically, feels like you’re at a klan rally.
Dave Navarro - one of the most underrated guitarists of all time
No more ink!
I love his style.

His presence is what I love. He’s just got a way about him 😉
