I feel that all the people myself included who truly love this song,
We have the best taste In music! ROCK ON!
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I've heard it at least a thousand times and it still gives me chills.
It's an incredible song!! I'm listening now from Ecuador!!
I get this too , beautiful song
Lyrics are cringe and the singer is a horrible human
This song is art. Whether you are a Jane's fan or just came here for this one song...who cares. This is music; art. It's the song that moves you, and at least for me (who isn't a huge JA fan) this song is magic. Just wonderful.
Holy shit! I just discovered this in 2022. Saw them in Seattle and wish they would have played this. Killer show!
This album is a revelation to me, it tells me stories and takes me to places i have never been before.
Take it easy
Love that song... you feel the power in it!!
A brilliant track from a completely underrated album.
one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I have never seen them do anything but explode the room/hall/theater/arena... I fckng love this band
2021. We need this magic now. Thank you for this magic supporting us.
This was to me such a moving song. Seriously Goosebumps every time. I was always sad that this album didn't land with the general public.
Fully agree. This song absolutely rips. An overlooked masterpiece.
In case no one has noticed, that young woman, the irresistable force, is beautiful
Perry's voice is the fourth instrument... irresistible for real!
his voice always reminded me of the Jay Ashton from Gene Loves Jezebel
My sweet lord, this is music, real music, song...
The opening of this song has such a Tool vibe to it until the chorus kicks in, then it's 100% 'Strays' era Jane's Addiction, and I love it.
Yes perfect circle too
2019 anyone?
This song just jogged itself outta my memory. 8 years later haha
it's not 8 years for me but 3 is still a long time aha. what brought me back is the fact that I'm currently in a irresistible force complex situation at the moment and this song just popped up in my head for some reason. kinda crazy how that works
2021
Also 2021
Such an incredibly powerful and beautiful song.
The Great Escape Artist was produced perfectly. It doesn't sound like the old JA. These guys are adults. This is a deep, compelling, well-written album. It also rocks. What more do you want?
They got real wisdom now 😉
Great album, but then I love all four albums
Twenty bucks.
'These guys are adults'. Too true, good insight.
Much acclaim should go to Dave Sitek and the production values of TV on the Radio.
This song sends chills up my spine it's so beautiful. Janes is so underrated if you don't see their genius you lose
C'est un très grand groupe et assez connu en France.
Perry's voice rings!! I am upset the concert is coming to Chicago 20 minutes away from me and I have noone to go with🤣
ive been listening to janes addiction my whole life and i have to say this tops them all
Jane's addiction sucks
Ur dad sux cox
The opposite of truth is silence. Try it.
@@craigschulte8732 Right on brother!
Hm...I'm glad you dig it! It's DEFINITELY a Very Good Song!!!
I love this chorus, so catchy and huge.
Love this song and video. I can not seem to play it just one time. I must play it over and over again. BANGING & BANGING TOGETHER.......
QOTSA IS GOOD TOO
@@JohnSmith-oj1vn yes, they are John. I have always been a fan since I heard them.
My favorite band, you guys have literally made magic!
Damn i love this song. Broken People is another great song from this record!
The natural progression of Janes Addiction never ceases to amaze me. Love forever.
Not a Jane's Addiction fan by any means, but this song is pure magic.
Hmm... Jane's Addiction put Lollapalooza together, so apparently you're in the minority. 3 Days is the best song Ever written. Yes, Pure Magick. Who might be a better guitarist on our Cherub Rock? It's Navarro. There are few others up there.
You're really easily threatened, aren't you David Coleman? He said he liked the song, but if he doesn't like everything they do, you act like an insecure child about it.
I agree with your statement Jason Joseph
Then in the words of Kurt Cobain... Then why are you here???
fucking awesome song
Shooter Mcgavin Well hi there. (:
+MJKTool yes, and my all-time favorite JA song
with a name like weeasley😂😂.... me as hetro as you get...p.s hatred will, or has consumed u
I've been reading the comments and I feel people are reading way too much into the lyrics. Sure, there are sexual over tones, but this could be a metaphor for two people connecting emotionally, physically and spiritually; it could also be about people who are having a meaningful conversation, that's the brilliance of this song: is it about sex, or the amazing connections that can happen between people they do not have to be physical with each other? In the end: why overanallize this song? It's a balls to the wall, badass song with awesome production values that allows this entire group to showcase their talent. Seems like a good time to me.
Lol "overanalize"

Butthead: "I detect masturbatory overtones."
@@tehbonehead uh huh-huh, huh-huh
I dig all those possible descriptions of the songs meaning dude. But to come up with all those, you may have did quite a bit of reading into it yourself haha
it's also based on a old physic paradox logic
amazingly put together...all aspects,standout musicianship.
Like this song very much. Classic moment in the history of a classic band.
When you're with Jane's Addiction, someone's losing a shirt.
Ikr most of the time it was me lol
Helloooo patty 😳
@@johndickerdown9225 LOL
Dave navaro had that short stint with Red Hot Chilli Peppers , they may have kicked him out but thst didnt stop him from leaving his shirt with them and taking the shirtless concepy back to Janes Addiction hahaha!
Hopefully it's your gf
It's been 7 years! Can we get a follow up album please 😭
No.
Hey I just found this album. Advantage of being old and behind the times
@@ZillMob ha!
Now! You KNOW they only put out an album ON AVERAGE JA puts out a new album ROUGHLY Every 7-12 YEARS! BUT, It's ALWAYS UNIQUE & WELL WORTH the WAIT!!! IMHO Peace & Love!!!
@@coycoberly4162 Seems like Perry is content with being a solo artist which I'm fine with, just really enjoyed The Great Escape Artist
This song is fantastic. From the moment he said "Shockwave" I knew this song would make it to my playlist. Just a phenomenal sound in today's rock n roll era where every band sounds the same.
Happy 63rd Birthday Perry Farrell. Peretz Bernstein was born March 29, 1959. Queens, New York. This is a bitter sweet birthday for Perry. He considered Taylor Hawkins as one of his best friends. Many, many more Peretz Bernstein. Cheers..
Every time I hear this song, it gets better....seriously!
"Irresistible Force"
We didn't know that it would blow up
With such might
We stars are even brighter
Contrasted by the night
Sent out shock waves
Filled up the outer space
Even the ghost came
To the late, late, late show
Watch us play
Everything went tossing
Everyone was talking
Making up their faces
Wonder what we look like naked?
Ah! The irresistible force met the immovable object
Oh!
Ah! The irresistible force met the immovable object
Banging and banging
And banging and banging
And banging
Together
We've become a big business
Oh, a galaxy merger
The two of us a big bang
God is a real man
God is a dad [x2]
Ah! The irresistible force met the immovable object
Oh!
Ah! The irresistible force met the immovable object
Banging and banging
And banging and banging
And banging together
Ah! The irresistible force met the immovable object
Oh!
Some may call me a lucky shot
No, but it was not
Banging and banging
And banging and banging
And banging and banging
Banging and banging
And banging and banging
And banging together
Midori K. Vid it’s God isn’t dead x2

Great songs, like all great art, don't need to be explained. Never let someone tell you that a song you took to heart doesn't mean what you thought it did!!!!
I've never been a fan of Jane's Addiction, but this song and Underground are effing AWESOME. Literally AWEsome.
Janes Addiction's one of the few bands from the early 90's that can still put out some great fucking material to this day.
Wonderful song and album. Even better than the old stuff to me. I am glad, that such rock bands still exist and still rock.
not even the artists involved understood the forces that are being played with here are. Holy heck!
I have listened to Perry and crew like I loved Red Hot Chili's, decades...still appreciate their talents and music, they BLOW MY SOCKS OFF!!!! always in complete Dojo mode of respect and honour!!!! Bless these talented peeps, n I'm gobsmacked by their beauty and what they bring to the picture!!!! Look at what the new Scientists have discovered relating to black holes....just a heads up...without sounding like a nut snack LOL!!!!
nice guitar solo but the bass work--- top shelf.
Yeah, their bass has always been underrated, but with Navarro on guitar, it is hard to steal the spotlight. I saw Jane's once and the whole place was a tiki party theme. Flea was filling in. But he did a professional cover, dressed in a red tunic or robe of sorts.
Jane's bassist, who's name escapes me at the moment, keeps the whole thing together powerfully and allows for guitar to be wherever it basically could ever wanna go. No restrictions or requisite rhythm guitar chords are really needed. So very good.
killer bass

Dave Sitek
Happy Birthday to the frontman of the most original and best alternative rock band ever!!
As a die-hard Jane's Addiction fan and a fan of time-travel, solar system and parallel universes/multiverse shit, I was thinking this song should've been used for a scene or sequence in Avengers: Endgame, Crisis on Infinite Earths, Lost in Space, Doctor Who, Timeless, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Terminator: Dark Fate, 12 Monkeys or something!
How does Dave Navarro never look any older 🤪
HGH
He has access to get anything he wants to divulge in
Hillary Clinton has the adrenachrome. Duh.
He may not look older but he looks more like Captain Jack Sparrow everyday.
Vampire
1:06 sounds like the irresistible postman
ahahahahhaha yess 😂
Never noticed that before but you're right !
Doing God's work
If mocking your mythical god is doing gods work then yes.....funny how the religious hear what they want.
TheSoloAutism, did you just assume I am religious based off a tongue in cheek phrase? Oh dear
Amazing song, best I've heard from them in a while
So true as I am the older guy at 62 and hate hate when people my age bring that up about "its not like it was back then" You just need to keep current with trends in music and thankfully younger daughters have taught me to open my ears and do just that. Love so much of today's music
Jane's...putting alot of other music to shame since '87. Started listening to them in '88; still resonates a reflection to me of my college days. Really like this song- up there with my two other favorites- Three Days and Slow Divers.
the lead singer he have a rare talent for the ones that knows music
These guys never disappoint
I just heard this song today, and now it's time to find the album. Janes Addiction = 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely amazing song. You guys have always been one of my favorite groups. You're music hits my heart and it skips a beat, and chills. Love your music. I'd love to meet you guys and see you perform live. Thanks for all the great music.

Who’s here in 2019.. still lovin Juana Adiccion
Great track!
It's just so we'll put together this track. It is truly irresistible
Ive always loved this song. How many years has gone by and all the new music ive heard since then and this still sticks out. Timeless
Esta canción es arte en letra, en instrumental y en todo 🌌
MELHOR MUSICA DO MUNDO !!
the music composition plus this lyrics, makes me feel quite umcofortable. too much in just one song. incredible.
Mahlhammer says…. This was my son’s walk out song pitching and batting his senior year in high school ! Nobody got it till the MLB used it for a baseball commercial then people understood ! Good stuff ! lol
Freaking love Dave Navarro
Nobody sounds like Dave Navarro.
Dave is cool, I know him.
Love this different sound from J.A. Forgot they had this song! Very Incubus-like with all the galaxy and stars colliding together talk & video lol. 2:29 sexy riff transition
I first heard this on local FM, and it grabbed me quick. The tonality has such an otherworldly feel, haunting yet hopeful.. Tough, yet strangely soothing... Very Nice indeed.
Dave is the baddest guy in rock music...his dress and attitude...knocks me out.
bliss
yeah you should see them in person.I'm new to this band but knew of them.55 years old.Know that Dave Navarro is a great guitar player and had to see him play.Saw them at Palace Theater in Louisville ,Ky in March.I've became a huge fan of theirs and will see them again when they are close to our area
this song is so bad ass!!!! love the guitar work by dave, perry sings awesome and stephens drumming is on point👍🏽.

What a fucking tune 👏👏
This is magic.
I'm not an avid Jane's Addiction fan, but having listened to their music as it comes and goes over the years, this is easily my favorite song by them and ranks fairly high among my favorite songs in general.
Jane's Addiction was the Greatest among them. If Nirvana was the symbolic Jesus of Alternative Rock, then Jane's Addiction was John the Baptist. They laid the groundwork for every.single.last.band. that got successful. They owe a huge debt to Jane's. They did it first. There is not one Jane's song that sucks. Back to back, cover to cover, they are the unsung heroes of Rock Music.
Trolley the Troll, nah, yer a troll. JA was what year? They sound like who? You don't know. Trolls. Don't gotta like em.
I think making Lollapalooza may qualify JA as sung, but a bit less remembered. Just as they like it. Point: Underground.
I had two albums I played at least a thousand times each year in high school. Ritual de lo Habitual and Tool's Opiate. I still get lost in Ritual and 3days takes Stairway anyday. As much as I enjoy stairway, 3days pulls me out, lifts me up, takes to the peak and then teases until the epiphany is revealed. And a psychedelic style mellow comedown.
Sonic Youth deserves a lot of same credit.
Блядь, это просто потрясающая песня и фантастический клип! Люблю эту песню вечно!!! Шедеврально 🤘🙏🙏🙏
That guitarist always reminds me of Raziel before Kain threw him into the abyss.
Never was Janes fan until this year when I saw them live at the Palace Theater n Louisville Kentucky.Didn't even know they had a new album, was very impressed with this group.Hope to see them again in 2013!!
BEST BAND TO SEE LIVE.. EVER
a mature work....
Ferrox Glideh totally. This gives me a boner just by hearing it
This song is just of many songs that take me to a new level.....
This album top to bottom is ridiculously amazing!!
Whole world slept on Navarro that man can shred the 6 string. This song almost sounds as if they recorded it yesterday. Living legends.
Dave Navarro is an amazing guitarist. Only fools say the opposite.
Uhhh, he was in RHCP during One Hot Minute.
Yeah!Saw them in Louisville,Ky in March at the Palace Theater and they were awesome, and Perry Ferrell and Dave Navarro are magic!!
is it me or does this song have a Tool vibe to it? Not a bad thing at all.
Ya, its definitely that bass sound. Sounds like Tool a lot.
This Is just awesome. I imagine my life flashing before by eyes as I leave this life and return to the source.
This is really good. I'm surprised and impressed that a new song is this good. So good to hear them doing something this good.
i pomyśleć, że gość ma 56 lat :)
agreed! There are one of the best performing groups at this time in music..
So sad what music has become these days. I miss you guys! Please come to Atlanta! 🙏
I remember I loved this song back when I was 16. Now I'm 27 and I still love it!! It's so fucking good!!
One of my favorite songs ever
Seen them in 02/03 at HFS in DC they were pretty amazing live. love these guys !!!
Beautiful..beautiful..beautiful. Saw it the first day it came out and i still enjoy it.
The only Jane's Addiction song I can tolerate
2HootHoot who cares???
Piotr Grzymski If it's a COMMENT section, you can post what you want.
Came over this song by accident, loved it, replayed it for days. Then I searched for the music video and now I'm not sure how I feel anymore...
saw these guys early 90s in birmingham,it was pure magic and madness great concert as i can remember, stiil so cool!
LOL at all these comments by you so called "fans" of this timeless band. do you really expect somebody to stick to the same style for 25 years and not be progressive in their music writing? this stuff is as good as Nothing's Shocking and Ritual.
If you were famous and had money would you not embrace the lifestyle that comes with it to a point? Dave I admit has gone overboard with the tattoo show, sorry don't know the name since I don't watch TV and his "no pictures with fans" policy is a bit stupid I think,I mean,if you're going to sign an autograph what's the big deal with a quick pic? Peryy on the other hand will takes pics and talk you and is very accessible if you do it correctly.hell, you can spot the man riding around on a bike in Santa Monica ALL THE TIME like a regular Joe and the same when he's in NY.Perkins is the most down to earth of them all and a very humble individual and a fucking blast to hang out with.I just wish Eric stayed with them when he came back for the brief stint but I understand his desire to do other things and continue with his other projects. I grew up with these guys on my cassette deck before they blew up,I was seeing the shows nobody else did before they got famous outside of LA and Hollywoood.who else here can spot themselves in the official videos for Ocean Size and Mountain Song??? who saw the John Ansen shows and The Roxy,Troubador,SCREAM and Paladium shows waaaaay back when?
Mark S Wow....
Is this Sasha Gray?!
Best song of the 90s, well done!
