They picked a girl who didn’t even know what SRT stand for😂😂😂 to even be a finalist 😮 where’s Khal SRT
lol "straight track ready"😭😭 she thought STR
Another ouchh! Hahaha!
To be fair there's multiple right answers (Short Runner Technology) Gen III Hemi's have an electronic controlled flapper in the intake to adjust the short vs long runner for torque at low RPM and HP for high. Not sure if it was in the SRT4 Neon or the SRT6 Crossfire. but thats a potentially correct answer as well.
But Street Race Technology is a better corporate branding that everyone can grasp.
@@SS-jv4gf the best part😭😭
@@mr.300c bro you called it! You said Preston would win 💪🏽
Thank you Dodge for staying true to badass muscle! No other car company would ever do something like this. MOPAR FOR LIFE 💪
That’s why they ended production and went electric like rest of the sheep
@@IdontKnow-km4gz Not the point.
How does the Challenger come first before the Charger? 1966 Charger 1970 Challenger? The LX Charger 2006 Challenger 2008? Am I missing something?
Agreed, not sure why they accepted Challenger as a correct answer.
I thought that too lol, even the new chargers came before the new challengers. Charger came out in 2005 and challenger came in 2008.
There was a coronet Challenger in 58-59
I've been wondering this as well
@@RoyalViking465 That was a trimline, not a stand alone.
Awesome job both Lauren and Preston. Congrats Preston those donuts were on POINT! I feel blessed to have been a part of such a cool campaign. What other car company is doing anything even remotely close to this. Congrats again guys!
As Mopar enthusiast you had to have that jump out at you as an edit out moment... Both contestants were incorrect. Charger came first in every step of history. There was a Charger prototype vehicle in the 1940s before the Silver Challenger, the 60s fastback muscle car Charger was in production well before the 70s Challenger production run, and even in the modern era the Charger came first. All that said the Challenger is and always has been my favorite Dodge vehicle (Viper strong contender), so I'd prefer to say otherwise, but it just ain't true. Congrats to the finalists... I'm just making sour dough donuts about not being selected as first donut maker representing Dodge myself. However, I'm sure Preston will do a fabulous job! I still believe Dodge had the best donut making equipment in the industry and produces the richest smokey flavor with consistency on the market.
I thought I must have missed something when they said that the Challenger was before the Charger. I double checked myself and I was right about the Charger being first. That takes nothing away from either one, I personally love my Challenger. Production started in “64” and being sold in “65” as a “66” Charger. The Challenger hit in “70”. I’m sure if I have made a mistake, some kind enthusiast will correct me. Haha. It’s nothing to split hairs over. Have a good day everyone !
Yeah, I thought there would be 1000s of comments from the Moparisti about the Charger. Yes they are all wrong. You to Goldberg....you should have known better, you got or have had both those vintage Mopars. Even the Hulkster would have known!!....he owns a 69 R/T. The First appearance of Charger was in the late 50s with the Ramcharger intakes. Then Of course the Ramcharger engineers race "Club". Then in 1964 a concept performance convertible Dodge "Charger", 64 Dodge. Then of course, the release of the 66 Charger based on the Coronet. The E Body Challenger and Barracuda appeared in September 1969 for the 1970 MY. Even the modern "Daimler" Charger appeared before the Challenger. And that's it, there aint no more!! Hopefully Preston is all geed up with it now.😄🤘
Thoroughly enjoyed the series, congrats to Preston and good on Dodge for doing something fun like this!
I own a 2010 Chrysler 300C SRT8 and This is sooooo awesome to watch! I'm so glad I'm a mopar guy nothing makes me.more proud then to see other people who have the same passion as I do for the MOPAR BRAND! Thank you Dodge! 👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
The charger first came out in 1966 and the challenger in 1970
The new charger came in 2006
While the new challenger came out in 2008
Maybe they meant as far as Hellcat goes but I also agree Charger should have been the correct answer for Mopar history or they should've said Hellcat specific
Exactly right Avery. But we can’t let our lyin eyes n ears fool us 😂
the 2nd gen challengers were from 78 to 83 but it still doesnt make sense that they were the correct answer
Wrong man. Challenger came out in 56 as a package.. It came out as a car later yes..
@@l042987 good point, i was thinking about maby the coronet silver challenger as well in 59, but both predate the 66 charger. even if you include the first concept charger in 64 it is still not as early as the challenger
How you not know what SRT. Stands for! 😂 come on now! Great job and congrats !!
This is a great start for Hemi Day ! He nailed that donut ! Congratulations Preston and have one whale of a year with that Hellcat ! You’ll do great representing Dodge.
No he dont. Check Mopar Mikes video of Preston. ua-cam.com/video/m4mp9PtKwZQ/v-deo.html

Congratulations, Dodge/SRT! What a wonderful competition! And to Preston: Make us all in the Mopar community proud!
Woah, woah, woah! The Charger came out in 1966, the Challenger in 1970!
Ya don’t get it . Even if they are discussing the new generation. Charger was still first in 2006 vs Challenger 2008. Come on Bill!
Wrong challenger came out in 56.. Go watch everything you need to know about challenger
@@l042987 😮 my bad - not up on the '50s
That’s not correct from what I’m gathering they used the name Challenger in 59.
And it was for the Cornet silver challenger so charger is right..
Awesome job to both of them. Thank you Lauren for repping us in Vegas at dodge
Congrats to every damn body!!! This was incredible to see and enjoy and hopefully it's not the last contest!!!!!!
That was dope, and I think they did a good job making it challenging. The contestants made it look easier than it was.
I plan to be Dodge’s Second Chief Donut Maker! Bam!
Big Congrats! Hemi day! Can't wait to see whats next 👍🙏
So proud of you Preston! Those donuts looked 🔥 GO GET EM DODGE DADDY
That is so AWESOME! I LOVE DODGE!
Knew she was done as soon as she got SRT wrong. Congrats Preston!!!
How does #2 out of 170,000 applicants get SRT wrong?
@@budoboy same way a guy who made a video on his UA-cam channel saying he’d never buy another dodge wins. Of course, video now deleted.
Further, how’d they both get which came first question wrong? Challenger, no. Charger in 1966. Challenger 1970. Smdh
Just the beginning Preston! Congratulations!!
As a many time and current Mopar owner.. this was watered down. Not impressed with either of their driving skills.
Went with those who wont give them any blow back!
08:11 gets me everytime 🤣😂
Loved this series! Congrats Preston!
He did it for all the Preston’s out there👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
My guy Preston represents my brotha mad congratulations 🍾🎊🎉🎈 let’s go dodge @dodge
Preston crushed it!!!! 704 lets go!!!!!
What a happy celebration for him I was hoping he would win. Congrats Preston u reached ur dream enjoy life😎😎😎😎
*BREAKING NEWS* From now on SRT will stand for "Straight Track Ready" 🤭🤣🤦🏿♂️
😂
@@AntiSimp_90 homegirl was wilding 😁
@@mr.300c she definitely was bro, I’m glad Preston won bc he was the most prepared for this moment
@@AntiSimp_90 yes indeed you can tell he was ready. Hopefully its a great year of promotions for Dodge.
SRT...Straight Track Ready! 😂😂😂😂. I like that answer.
Great show love the donut part 😁 🍩
The challenger did NOT come first! Neither the first or 3rd generation. In what way was that answer considered correct?!
exactly correct! In both cases, First OR 3rd the Charger was first to market. What was Goldberg thinking?
Maybe they meant as far as Hellcat goes but I also agree Charger should have been the correct answer for Mopar history or they should've said Hellcat specific
When she missed what SRT stands for 👀, That was enough for me.
Congratulations young man. Now the tough part starts.
That was awesome
What? The Charger came out in 1966 and the Challenger followed in 1970, so how is the Challenger first?
BG said this is the first Chief Donut Maker - will there be more in the future?
Maybe they meant as far as Hellcat goes but I also agree Charger should have been the correct answer for Mopar history or they should've said Hellcat specific
Agreed, maybe they were talking about the modern after 2000 version but you're right the charger definitely came out first
@@wesd2845 Even the current Charger was first, out in 2006 while the Challenger was 2 years later in 2008.
@@justindugan1400 First year for both Charger & Challenger Hellcats was 2015.
What a surprise, nobody saw this coming
I approve of your TrX, Fully tested!
Awesome one MOPAR! Preston was certainly the favorite! Oh and why do you have to tease me so with the Go Mango or that Blue Frostbite? MOPAR OR NO CAR! -🤘
Hire both of them, they both killed it 💨
I think thr SRT question killed her hopes
@@OfficialKeithInTexas not to mention she seemed a bit sluggish
Yeah if she was a tad bit faster and some spectacular donuts after she missed that question only out of nervousness...I think it would have been a really tough decision in the end
Crybaby Lauren didn’t deserve to even be in the top 5. I hate people who throw pity party’s
She couldn’t even doughnuts 😂
I want one of those :)
Great Choice
Man I own a Dodge Challenger and This is by far the best series I have seen Dodge has done a great job !!! I loved this !
Here it is!
Did she really say “Straight Track Ready”??!??
Lmao! Oopssssss!
Dang that’s cool!
This is the 4th Generation Dodge Charger
The fact that most people don't know the challenger technically came out in 56 bamboozles me.. Are you even Mopar fans lol
MY BOY PRESTON WON! All those years whippin in the Altima and Integra paid off!
I think neither of the final 2 should have been chosen. There were far better options in my opinion
Hahahah HAAATER
@@Dailydoseofdaissy they picked a guy that made a video saying he wouldn’t buy another dodge.. how is he a good representative for the brand?
@@Dailydoseofdaissy the winner legit had a video bashing dodge on his channel. its all over the forums and online groups
Get woke go broke, Dodge hasn't learned what a lot of other companies are finding out, from CNN+ to Gillete, etc.
my boy jensen
Preston welcome to the BROTHERHOOD OF MUSCLE AND SALUTE 2 THE FEMALE 2 SHE WAS GREAT TOO😊❤
Congrats Preston!!
Congratulations
Tears in my eyes!
I can't watch this enough. Preston Preston Preston. The man.
Congratulations Preston ECB!! 👏
MR. Chief Donut Maker!
Love from India I love challenger ❤️
Now that this is over can we focus on SHIPPING issues for new vehicles. I think it’s ridiculous my car is sitting in a rail yard for 36 plus days and counting and can’t get to my dealer even tho you all charged a destination fee!
Congratulations I wished he would win
Ain't gonna lie, this was pretty dope of dodge 🤣🔥💪🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🔥
Lovin my RT!
I knew Preston had it from the jump💯💪🏾
congrats now u can rep for NC and keep that charger of urs clean while its in storage good job!!!!!
So y’all choose someone who was talking bad and about how he will never buy a Dodge ever again 8 months ago? Yikes
ua-cam.com/video/aQ7qzuk0P3s/v-deo.html
Big Yikes!
Yooo chalit we onn the Mapp!!
Good choice, Preston has the greatest passion of all the other participants. I'm happy for him!
2:28 and rocking ! at 4:45 Hang on spank and Joey , then 17:15 , I'm saying never lift Preston !! glad i got up before the sun to see this, 12:28 That smile said it all. OMG ! Congratulations to Preston. Goldberg delivered a powerful historical, serious heartfelt congratulations i've ever screen. (I been to the banquets). Then Goldberg is like "Never Lift Time" lets get going we have a " Smoke Show". Really happy for Preston M2F Squad
Didn't that dude go off on a huge rant about he doesn't want to be associated with "Dodge drivers" ?
Congratulations Preston!
Yep Hire Her. She is a great representative
no she isn’t, she didn’t even know what SRT stands for and she can barely do a half assed donut
Charger came first in 1966, Challenger didn’t come out until 1970.
Maybe they meant as far as Hellcat goes but I also agree Charger should have been the correct answer for Mopar history or they should've said Hellcat specific
Why would Dodge choose someone as a brand ambassador who said they'd never purchase another Dodge vehicle 🤔
The wrong person was chosen
Nothing against Lauren I know working under pressure is hard, but not knowing what SRT stands for, as well not absolutely ripping it on the track, I understand you don't wanna go too hard with it, but it's the Dodge spirit to go all out or go home.
What came first charger or challenger?
You guys should make a Dodge Durango hellcat redeye
Yay
Actually, Charger came first in '66 and the Challenger didn't debut until '70, but I guess they were talking about "new" Mopar.
Congrats Preston 💪🏽💯
He deserves it. 👍🏽👏🏽
yay!
Except Dodge doesn't know their own facts the Dodge Charger predated the Dodge Challenger in both the Old and New Generation
Wasn’t the first production charger made before the challenger?
I thought they were going to pick her but I was glad with the outcome
Great Job to both finalists. Huge Congratulations to Preston, well deserved
It kills me when Bill gets out of the car and closes the door by pushing on the glass...
Congrats Preston. But there can also be one assistant chief donut maker. hire her as well
Look at those go mangos🤙🏽
They should have held a take over party
Okay... maybe Im confused on something... but didnt the OG Charger come out in 1966 and then the OG Challenger came out in 1970? Then for the modern iteration... it was 06 for The Charger and 08 for the Challenger?
Someone help me understand that question and how Challenger was right please.
That's exactly what I was thinking. The Charger came out years before the Challenger!
The first car to use the Challenger name was a fourth generation limited edition Dodge coronet called the Silver Challenger made in 1958-59
Maybe i misheard the question? I didn’t hear the SRT prefix.
@@OfficialKeithInTexas For Hellcats I could see it... good thing nobody thought about SRT8 then... because that was also the Charger.
Thanks for that clarification :D .
@@RoyalViking465 there was also a coronet charger of the same year
Congratulations 👏
Congrats to Preston! You did a great job and deserve the position. Flawless!
Preston killed it....I feel like Lauren held back a little, unfortunately, i think her nerves got to her, but they both did great.
Congratulations Preston! Now go knock ‘em dead and continue to be you!🎉💯🐟
My fresh 2021 392 grenaded after 13k miles. Dodge corporate says nothing is wrong because theres no codes. Despite providing evidence the bearings are shredding, they don't care until a rod is hanging out of the block. Took the joy out of hemi day for me knowing my engine could seize, wheels lock up at speed and I may die in a fiery wreck for Dodge to consider a warranty repair.
There is zero chance this is true. You either modified the car which voided the factory warranty, or your entire story is a lie. There's more here than you are saying.
No Bars
Preston got a vid talkin how he doesn’t like dodge anymore🤔🤔
🔥🔥
Preston has a genuine positive attitude. I love it and look forward to see you in action brother!
Congratulations Preston. You kicked ass... I was hoping you would get it from day 1 and you nailed it 🤘💪
Bro this was easy asf LOL
