I love cars, driving to deadly speeds and working on computers as a job. In high school i was the the NERD that did racing and comp cheerleading. my classmates didn't know what to think of me. So i knew a lot of people but also didn't have many friends because I just waste my time at parties or just game or talk trash. I'm just me and I am proud of the fact that I'm my own person. people shouldn't just "fit" into stereotypes or categories.

Omg. I just saw this guy driving this car in Salinas California. He was driving it and another driver had a yellow viper acr. Never thought he was this famous. They were driving out of a gas station about 20 minutes from Laguna Seca Raceway 🙌🏼.

I've always admired the Viper. The ACR with the large wing and dive plates make it even more intimidating. I know it will never happen, but if Dodge added a dual clutch automatic or the torqueflite transmission, I'd actually drop a deposit and order one. As an owner operator that drives a 10/13 speed stick, I don't want a stick in my daily driver or supercar. I know the Corvette Z06 has an automatic, but the Viper is just such a rare piece of American muscle. Other supercars have automatic transmission options. Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Acura NSX, GTR, Porsche supercar hybrid and 911 Turbo S, Hellcat Challenger and Charger. I want to buy American. Eh, I'll just buy a Fiat 500. XD JP
I hope DODGE will make the CHARHER 2022 in a wonderful and beautiful way, 1500 HP, the maximum speed is 420KM per hour, and the appearance of the chassis is beautiful and sporty.
If you do get to revive the Viper, you need a powerful message to convey to your potential buyers. You won't be able to compete with the Ferrari or the Lamborghini because they are being perceived as very fine-delicate hyper racing cars that have very strong brand followings. You'd have to market the Viper as a rugged yet very comfortable street legal car modified to be a super racing car to drive in. You'd need sort-of "Police Detective charm" to ever have customers buy the Viper. Of course it has to be somewhat subtle, not with that in-your-face type.
He also owns a P1, a bespoke 675LT by MSO, a 599XX which he uses to race against his wife's FXXK. And when they are not feeling like driving their XX, they have a pair of 458/488 challenge cars... Oh and a LaFerrari Aperta on order.
The current ACR Extreme Edition is The One to get. It's quite driveable on the street, yet on the track it's absurdly fast even when stacked up against performance cars costing twice as much.
That is a tough call, agreed. If you don't do regular roadcourse days, I'd go with the Demon - four seats (unless the roll cage interferes with the rears), automatic transmission, more powerful, etc. But that Viper... it's a special car. Magic on the racetrack.
Most of the cars at track days are Miata's. So my ACR turns heads quickly. When I pass them, arms are waving frantically out the driver's windows letting me know they see (or hear) me and it's OK to pass. They ask all kinds of questions. Yes it's faster around the track than my Z06/Z07.
Since the Viper is going away (again) They have a send off "one of one" program if you're a possible buyer. Essentially Dodge can customize the Viper with any sort combination of options including the purple paint like you see in the video to make your particular Viper a One of One example. It even comes certified with a plaque and paperwork that signifies it is truly a "one of one" car. He doesn't have the only ACR on the planet, but his is unique in its own way
Not true. As I said in my other comment its due to the Viper "one of one" program where you can customize your viper to make it the only one of its kind. Even comes certified from Dodge with plaques in the car and paperwork I believe.
Amusingly, that was a Porsche Club of America track weekend. The fastest cars on track? Two Porsche RSR widebody race cars on slicks -- and two Viper ACRs on street tires :-D
