In the early 70's as a teenager I used to go to Folkdance Festivals in WA State. And I must have been in Seattle where I met a dancer who was a defense attorney. Not knowing much, I asked him how he felt about defending criminals [guess I just assumed they were all criminals.] And he said that if he could effectively defend a person and get them off, he'd feel pretty good about that, because it's hard to do. Gave my young self something to think about.
