I am traumatized by what is happening to the Palestinians. I don’t feel like celebrating thanksgiving or Christmas, but I have grandchildren… I will do the traditions for them, but my heart is not in it. I feel despair. I can not seem to enjoy anything or even sleep at night…I feel desperate for this to stop!

Thank you for sharing! My family decided to not celebrate Christmas in the 80s until the year all of the world would be war free! We still made a simple dinner and lit candles but acknowledged the big questions of the world instead as our theme. As a child I didn’t understand it but as I grew up I felt hope from knowing that we are allowed to say No -violence stops here and we won’t pretend that all is good until it is! It is not "our" government. I really wonder sometimes why so many people in the "alternative faction" so to speak are still using such words. There is no we, us, our when it comes to government entities. They have no affiliation to a country or the people living in it. To still use such words is creating a false sense of identification and responsibility. You give them power in that way.

Wonderful interview. I respect and commend the Hadid family for being true to their roots. After I received death threats and was followed around campus by the JDL as an undergraduate, I became fearful and told people I was Jordanian (I had a Jordanian passport). One comment about the Shifa Hospital I’ve not heard anyone speak about - as a Palestinian/American physician I can say without a doubt that the ammunition/guns in the MRI rooms were staged by the Israelis. Anyone medically trained knows you can’t put metal in an MRI room because it’s a massive magnet. When it’s turned on, everything metal will be attracted to the machine. I saw a wheelchair once get sucked into one. It’s a serious safety hazard. They clearly did not think that particular staging through. May God Bless all the families affected by this crisis.

It’s definitely a sign that there’s hope! Perhaps this was the wake up call that so many of us have needed to open our eyes to the fact that just because the U.S. supports/financially backs something-does not mean it isn’t immoral, unjust, or in this case, illegal based on international law! I’m from the U.S. and will admit that I wore freaking rose tinted glasses for sooo long-it wasn’t until after Covid began that I started questioning things, and asking is *WE* are actually “the bad guys” in many situations. In this case we most certainly are-and will go down in history as being so. I think there are enough people whose hearts are pure and loving, free of the hate that many hold (those people are often the ones who talk the loudest, which can be discouraging)-that we can at least begin to navigate the course to putting a stop to the injustices we’re all now very much aware of….we refuse to pay taxes to federal governments that support absolutely murderous, vindictive and vile governments-all because of money and power. We no longer vote for ANYONE who open,y expressed their support for Israel AFTER it was clear that Netanyahu’s war *had nothing to do with “defending Israel” from a terrorist group* , we continue to march in solidarity when the PEOPLES’ voice needs to be heard in desperate ways by politicians.
The pro-Palestinian march (the HUUUGE one) in D.C. was so inspiring and acted as a true symbol of hope, as I’ve never seen so many tens of thousands of people marching for reasons that had NOTHING to do with their OWN rights or self-interests-but rather SOLELY focussed on the inhumanity that we were watching become more horrific every single day, and feeling completely helpless. Universal love among humans is how we are all MEANT to exist in this world…I thing steam is picking up for what is actually *right* and *just* and *LOVE* ❤️

Some lady accused me of being antisemitic and tagged the Canary organization mentioned in one of my comments on IG. Now I have been getting calls from random international numbers every hour. She threatened to get me fired, “exposed” etc… How is that legal? It’s insanity. Smh.

I am European and I have always believed in EU values. I am so angry at EU that is beyond words. In my elementary school we said the Shema every day with the Pledge of Allegiance. I went on a Birthright trip and even attended an hasbara seminar. But your videos broke through all of that.

@@PAULLONDEN Creepier than you think. I grew up in "Messianic Judaism," a sect of Evangelical Christianity that fetishizes Judaism and Jewishness. Growing up I was a target of envy for being Jewish and judgement for not being Jewish enough. It's a religion that combines the worst aspects of Evangelical Christianity (including the antisemitism) with extreme Zionism and a smattering of a few stolen traditions to appear Jewish. The school was part of a "Messianic Temple."
I've been watching the people I grew up with and the adults who were part of that community post the most horrific, bloodthirsty rhetoric on Facebook. They've managed to kill their empathy. Part of me is utterly disgusted by their hatred, but another part of me mourns for these people I love(d) - I see the damage they've done to their own "souls" and it breaks my heart.
