On my MacBook 2009, with a puppy linux Live CD in, I turned it on and held down the Option key, only the Macintosh HD and Recovery HD icons appeared until I clicked the Macintosh HD, then a Windows CD and an EFI Boot CD icon appeared. I let it boot into Puppy Linux to check it out. It seemed to work OK. I rebooted and did the same procedure again and all 4 icons appeared. Thanks

I have a bootable USB with El Capitan, but when I started the MacBook it ran Windows 10 without any problems, everything works :))) wtf, but I don't want Windows! I restarted, I held down the "alt" key but the usb does not appear, only the Windows partition appears! I deleted HDD with Windows but it's the same! would that be a solution? USB with El captain I created it with the TransMac application

dowload rufus in Windows if u have one and download the iso of Windows 7. you can download Windows at any os and pc

Can one do into BIOS with out a SSD or HDD installed in the laptop? L only wish to see the BIOS as l am still waiting on my NVME SSD to arrive.
Yes, you can enter the bios withou storage drives installed.
After i pressed the option key, there is no other choices aside from Recovery 10.11. But I already plugged a Bootable drive. What should I do?

What Windows version are you using? Try to boot from an usb drive with the latest W10 version.
@@UltimateDIY Windows 10, the USB drive is not getting recognised in the boot menu
Sorry, but never had this issue, so not really sure what could cause it. Make sure you have the dual 64/32 bit version on your usb drive.

Try a different usb stick. Over the time I had some cases where a random stick would just not work in some random computer.
