Thank you, you included some spots not typically covered by others, like the disguised bar on Queen Street.
As for the private gardens of Moray Place and elsewhere in New Town, let us hope that they remain private. I have no access and to some degree envy those who do. But I would rather see them private and pristine than public and full of trash. And for the extortionate house prices and tax rates paid by the local residents, they surely deserve (need!) a place to take some peace and quiet.
Also, it is worth noting the the green space in St. Andrews Square was private up until some years back. I like that this one is open to the public, if only because it is in a commercial area and the space offers a nice resting and meeting place. That said, I resist any suggestion that the private park spaces in Charlotte Square or Queen Street also become public.

An excellent all too brief tour. Your comment about the private gardens is a little unfair. These gardens are shared by the hundreds of homeowners in all the surrounding properties (and others in the next streets) - their houses and flats have no gardens of their own. They pay for them and maintain them and they were laid out on private land. They are not open to the public just as your back yard isn’t open to the public. There are many far larger public gardens in Edinburgh for all to enjoy, within walking distance of these private gardens.

It is not "Old Town" and "New Town". It is " The Old Town" and "The New Town". Not difficult.
