It rivals the total eclipse in pure awesomeness. The annular of 2023 went right over Medford, Oregon, and I could see it through the fog with the eclipse glasses. Absolutely incredible.
Thanks for this! We didn’t have the equipment to film it, so I've been looking for a video by someone who captured both the eclipse and at least a little of the peoples' reactions. The cheers and sounds of awe were such a part of the experience! We traveled from Philadelphia all the way to a small town in Utah to see it! I was also a little sad we forgot to bring a colander to see the funky shadows, and forgot to look at the shadows of the trees to see the wonky effects. Got another chance in 2024 though, much closer to home this time 😆
Yeah, and it is still a very different experience than a _total_ eclipse like the one coming in 2024! This is the lesser of the two, a total eclipse is even more amazing. Fun fact too: during the annular eclipse the moon doesn't fully block the sun because it is nearly as far away from Earth as it gets. At that distance the moon is so far away that you could fit all the planets including a second Earth between the Earth and the Moon!!! Space is so mind-bogglingly vast!
Super cool. I’ve never seen anything like this annular. I’ll have to start checking them all out. Because I was right here in Oregon especially on this one. The thing is to go somewhere where you’re gonna have more than likely clear sky’s like you in Utahville. I drive truck. Utah’s not bad. I like it. Be blessed in al things and thanks for the video and fun facts. All good stuff!
I was in Richfield for the eclipse. (I live 45 minutes away and my town is still in the path) But we traveled to Richfield to have more time in Annularity! It was a beautiful and amazing experience!!
I live right in the path of the annular eclipse, but it was completely overcast with low clouds. So I noticed a slight dimming in the intensity of daylight, but that was it. 😢
We were at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque to witness this. Not a ton of cheering, but someone did play Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire' just as it happened. Still, an absolutely awe-inspiring event. We already have our tickets to San Antonio in April.
During annular eclipses the Moon is so far away that you could fit every planet, including a second Earth, between the Earth and the Moon! This is the moon near itself apogee, the furthest it gets from us. During a total eclipse the Moon is about as close as it gets to the Earth, so you can't fit every planet in between us and the Moon at that time. Space is so mind-bogglingly vast, and our Moon is huge!
@@gamernightmonke6891 oh I meant TOTAL hahaha! I got annular stuck in my mind and I happen to watch the entire total eclipse including the totality experience

The shadows might be the weirdest thing. I’ll never forget seeing that during the eclipse that passed over us in 2017
And the way all the animals got quiet
@@Monkismomaybe they thought night was starting and went into night mode...or something weird was happening and went into guarded/alert mode
Yeah why didn’t the happen this time?

I am not as lucky as you guys to see this with your own eyes. This is as good as being there in person. THANK YOU. 😄
The solar eclipse is so beautiful! 🤩
It was my first annular eclipse. I went to Hobbs NM to see and film it. It was an amazing experience. Also great footage man!!!!!!
Got a picture of it in a light cloud turned out pretty good the few clouds almost looked a dark grey at the ring
It was my first too! Now i just got to witness a total eclipse

I fell into a burning ring of fire
Went down, down, down
And the flames went higher
And it burns, burns, burns
The ring of fire

Strange, yet beautiful
God design it’s amazing
the solar eclipse is my favorite ride
Ring of Light!
Is crazy how the universe can make this beauty
Didn't know about the eclipse
Literally go touch grass, and find out next time.
They don't make nearly as big a deal out of annular eclipses as they do total eclipses.
I don’t live in America But dam I wish I did Ngl that’s Beautiful 🤩
Amazing !! I saw only 60% in sw Florida.
I totally missed this. Had no clue.
Bro today again capture the solar eclipse ❤❤❤
Crazy how you can slowly see the planets move
What planets
And yet planets moons are moving fast. But to our eyes they look slow because of just how big they are.
What planets?
Beautiful music. What is the song called?
Who else stared at the eclipse with their own eyes balls hoping to gain superpowers but instead got a burned eclipse dot everywhere you looked?
It’s not good for your eyes. Don’t stare at the sun.
@@jdos5643 Too late for me... save yourself
Lol that happened to me. Its permanent on one eye now
I am so sorry for u man..
@@Great_WesternTVFan Hopefully, this eclipse will fix it😅

Hi iam ugenthiran.I like this video.
Not as awe inspiring as a total eclipse, but still spectacular.

I missed it because I was sick 😩😩😩😩😩😩
Imagine looking at the sun, not knowing there was an eclipse
🐅 🐯 🔥😊❤❤
You can use a welder helmet too
Yes you can but should be Shade 14.
The funny thing is this happened on my birthday!
I never knew that Annular Eclipses would trigger a significant number of people to witness. I thought it's only for Total Solar ones.
idk why I thought a total eclipse would bring a lot more darkness than that lol
I want to see this 😢
We seen it in south carolina and it was seconds
i saw this last year at my house
My birthday was on this day
These creatures of the deep, man-flies, mothrons, Frankensteins, fritzes, and vampires be approaching-
In my place I only see the partial eclipse in Apr 8th 2024 but the partial eclipse is fine to me. Only 90.6% of the moon covered the sun
God create the eclipse

As just wait and watch
too bad i didnt know about it at the time :(
who's here watching the annular eclipse on April 8 2024? I'm inside the path
That was a total solar eclipse i think, but ita a good thing one is going to happen in october of this year i think.
@@gamernightmonke6891 oh I meant TOTAL hahaha! I got annular stuck in my mind and I happen to watch the entire total eclipse including the totality experience
Why is everyone clapping though?
Because it's a rare event... we don't get full eclipses often and it looks cool in the sky!
How do flat-earthers explain this?
They can't think their brains are too deflated to think.
Imagine April 8, 2024 the Solar Eclipse stays dark for 3 days 😮the 3 days of darkness 😮Repent for the Kingdom of GOD is calling ❤
No way people clapping at a rocks lining up
It couldn't really go like that
Its 2024 not 2023
