    Your bus is really beautiful. Mine looks like a multicolored sad sack. I had a similar problem but it turned out to be a broken fuel pump. It's funny how the vw can drop a cylinder and keep running. By the way, you do great job with your diagrams. Good job.

    Hi, its common when running 2 single barrel carburators that your engine only runs on 2 cilinders (ONLY AT IDLE). if it would run on 2 cilinders when you are driving you won't be able to drive it will have no power. So they are totally wrong on that. Your staving of fuel problem can be something simple or complicated. When you starve and are stuck you need to draw on the fuel line and see if its blocked or not. Or you simple unplug the first line before the fuel pomp als fuel needs to be pouring out. If not there is somsthing in your tank blocking the passage. I had the same problem with my vw thing lately and it appeared to be silicone stuck in the tank from sealing the filler neck hoses. If fuel does flow out then its your fuel pump, or on a hot engine your fuel pump rod can get stuck in the block, for that you need to polish up your rod. You running a stock fuel pump?

      Thank you very much! Good to hear that it is common to run 2 cylinders at idle. I couldn't believe that I could drive with 2 cylinders. I will check the line next time this happens. Oil pump is not the stock. It is one of those cheap ones that previous owner installed, I don't know when and how old. Do you know if the fuel pressure for these carburetors can be (or needs to be) set higher than the stock carburetor? Thank you very much for your help.

      @@VWBusLife hi, fuel pressure must 0.2to0.3 BAR. Its better to have a lower pressure than high, because the needle and seat of the carbs can fail and the engine will get flooded. But this has nothing to do right now with your starving of fuel problem. Yes maybe that pump is bad, try changing it with a rotary pump and install a fuel pressure regulator if you don't have one. You can buy one from malpassi they also have a model with a pressure guage option. That a great indicator but i already can tell you when its mounted in the engine bay and the guage gets hot the reading is not 100% accurate. But when setting it cold its fine.

    私も67busに乗っていますが同様の症状が今年発生するようになりました。
    細かく診断はしていませんが燃調を濃くすると多少治まるのでパーコレーションかと思っていましたが、ワーゲンバスライフさんのようなケースもあるんですね。
    早く直ってドライブを楽しめるように祈っています。

    You mentioned in a previous video that your engine was missing some cooling tin. Replace it first-that is what is causing your engine to overheat and probably causing your other problems.
    An overheated engine bay could be vaporizing the fuel in your fuel filter and/or fuel line. It will help to move your filter away from the hot engine parts-I noticed it is lying against hot metal in the video.
    I can’t tell from the video, but your fuel filter has to be installed in the fuel line between the pump and the carburetors. If it is installed instead between the tank and the fuel pump, it will not work properly. There is not sufficient head pressure in the tank to push fuel through the paper element.
    I personally would recommend converting your engine back to a single carburetor setup. Idling on two cylinders is not how the VW engine was designed to operate.
    I have owned, driven, and maintained the same 1965 bus for 45 years.

    二次エアは各怪しい場所にパーツクリーナーなど軽く吹きかけ(強く吹きかけると飛散しエアクリーナーから吸っちゃうので)るとアイドリング回転数に変化があればそこから二次エア吸ってると言うことになります。

      You dont have a vacuum leak, from hearing it idle its totally fine. Running on 2 cilinders AT IDLE is totally normal for kadron carburators. Look it up on google
