This video was amazing! I love the animations & graphics, it really helps with understanding how these parts work. Please continue to make videos like this.
Thank you very much for your comment! I am so glad you were able to to understand what I was trying to do. I am working on the part2 of this video. Thank you for your support.
Excellent video as always my friend. One thing about owning vws is you never know what you are gonna get. You inherent everyone else’s problems. Now that the bus is in good hands I’m sure you will do the job right. I’ve never owned an early bus but I have the same brake shoes as you. That bearing cover needs to be replaced but try looking on the samba for a used German one. There should be plenty especially since you have a later brake set up. Although not sure the bearing cover you need is old or new style. What happened with the over heating? Also if you are gonna own a VW you have to invest in some tools. Also watch UA-cam videos and you can learn a lot to try and practice yourself.
Yes, I didn't know I was getting into this much trouble when I got this bus. I am learning and undoing what other people did to it in the past... I haven't done anything to the overheating yet. I can only do what I can, one thing at a time. I hope some good things happen this year and lead me to fix the overheating problem. Thank you for your support.
dont mind me but; It was possible the first time to sand down the brake shoes with 80grit sand paper to clean of the oil and get away of the oily layer on the shoes. Second, the axle nuts needs to be tightend much more. You need to put a breaker bar ons there and minumum of a 1 meter extention. The axle cover you can flatten by sanding it down on a flat surface with sand paper laying down. Good video, and nice visual effects !
Please watch the 2nd half of the video. ( ua-cam.com/video/dSnBXpZ85-c/v-deo.html ) It has more info about the work. But I need to tell you one thing I learned after I finished the 2nd video. If you can, please write a comment on the 2nd half video page. I will tell you about that. Thank you.
ありがとうございます。アニメーション作るのは楽しいのですが、時間がかかります。When I was creating the diagrams and animating them, I understood why I had leaking. I enjoy working on the graphics but that takes a lot of times and delays delivery. I want to make more video quickly but I don't lower the quality. Thank you for watching. Are you coming to NYC soon?
@@VWBusLife I am glad it also helped with your understanding, these are simple vehicles but they are still complicated so the animation and time you took to design it was worth it to have a better understanding. I just bought my tickets and will be in Buffalo NY from March 22nd to the 27th, not sure yet if we are going to NYC.

Thank you for the tips. I didn't throw away the brake shoes. I will clean them with sand paper and keep them as backup parts.
Perfect! Thank you! I'll be doing this job in a few weeks.
