We had the privilege of escaping 3 months of cold Canadian winters between 2007 and 2018 in exchange for the warmth of Texas and her many state parks. Garner was a great place to spend a week. Loved exploring all the CCC structures. Love seeing all the places in your videos that have given us so many warm memories. Starting to plan the logistics of spending as much 2 or 3 years wandering North America in a comfortable motorhome before I hit my 80’s.
We love going to Garner State Park. We camped there over the past two New Years Eves. They have a midnight guided hike up Old Baldy. Me and my son rang in 2024 with a hundred others at the top of Old Baldy.
You both looked pleasantly exhausted. That's a good thing, I guess. A trail that leads into the gift shop and ice cream parlor is a page out of Disney's playbook...🍦🎁💰😅
