Great video...we went every summer and could "work" the system so we could stay for two weeks. Started my first real job in 1971 and didn't make it back until 1989 when my sons were 2 and 3. your video brings back a lot of great teenage summer memories. Surprised you guys didn't mention the dances up at the pavilion...Garner summer girlfriends!
Great vid! Buddies and I made quite a few trips from 85 to the mid 90s. Can't really remember which was the last trip and sadly didn't take too many pics. But the memories live on. I'm the only one that still visits regularly with my family, but need to do the same as you and take a reunion trip with the guys. Thanks for posting!
Yeah! we enjoyed going back after all these years, loved it, brought back huge memories, i have lots of pics from back in the 80's @ Garner but did not want to bore viewers with to many old photos so i held back, anyway glad you liked; thanks for your comment👌
Nice job on the video ! The rivers is very low. Worked at Garner and Concan as a girl early 80,s. Some great memories and some young and not so wise ones .Lived in Utopia and Sabinal and have lived near water most of my life ,nothing better than that !
Hi Jennifer, unfortunately, we don't recall the exact number of the site that we were parked in but I do know that it's in the Old Garner camping area closest to the hill and dam area of the park. we were in a day park-only site during our filming. the area is called the 'Pecan Grove Camping Area'. You can camp overnight close to the site across the road from where we filmed the site Numbers are 8 -17 hope this bit of info helps, Goodluck and enjoy your stay. Great job. I've never been but will be back in San Antonio for a visit soon. Hoping to move to the area in a couple years. I'll have to budget some time to visit the park. Thanks again.
Hi Mary, the area we filmed from is named Pecan Grove Camping, most of it is an overnight campsite, the specific spot we parked at and a few of the spots around us we're for day pass use only, so it had no number.
Awesome video--the 80s were such great times and life so much simplier then😊
So true! Glad you enjoyed, Thank you for the visit 👍

Great place! We enjoyed it when we went!
There Used To Be A Swing Where You Could Walk Up These Concrete Steps And Swing Way Out Over The River. Probably Gone Now .It Was Dangerous .
