How to make your own Washi Tape for cheap! (updated)

Hi guys! Today we're making our own custom designs of washi tape using one material: masking tape :) I use masking tape all the time for crafting anyways, so this project cost me nothing. Maybe you already have some at home too!
No sticker paper, double-sided tape or printer is needed for this washi tape method.

Maybe silicone cutting mat will work even better to stick masking tape to?.. It can be reused too. I also often stick things to glasses from old picture frames however they have sharp edges. I love the green and gold design so much ♥

Yes that should work! I like the paper and tape, because you can store the tape easily that way. But your ideas should work well!

when i made stickers with tape i used non stick baking paper as the back for mine and that made it a lot easier to peel them off so could work well for the tape?

I thought so too! But I think because the masking tape isn't as sticky as regular tape, it comes off too easily from baking paper (in my experience).
