- Following a disabling stroke, Britta has regained a tremendous amount of mobility, function and independence through an intensive rehab program. One of her most challenging limitations was the loss of use of her dominant right arm and hand. She has worked with her occupational therapist on manual techniques that have helped to restore flexibility in her shoulder and improve her grasp. She has also used electrical stimulation to facilitate the muscles to contract while her therapist assists her with movement.
as i see you are trying to increase adduction of scapula with both exercise and electric stimulation. Is not scapular retraction one of the biggest problems against releasing the shoulder stiffness?
What parameters are ideal for restoring nerve activity in stroke patients?(Hz, μS)? Thanks
Treatment varies by individual and diagnosis. We would advise that a patient consult their doctor to determine the level of treatment frequency that would be most beneficial to them.
