I’m so glad these devices have been perfected so well that they’re so cheap with reasonable functionality. When i first started hunting with my step dad in 2006, these products were pretty pricey.
Heres my thing with range finders i dont care it the range is accurate as its consistent. When i sight in my bow i mark my pins according to the range finder not a tape measure.
Holy cow it’s an actual budget channel everything under 70 bucks, that’s a budget non of this under 500 jargon where they call anything that’s not flagship budget.
Just ordered a Tidewe mini/875Y on Amazon for $60, plan on putting a few wide rubber bands around it to make it grippy to hold. Will figure out a way to make the lanyard work better than looping it around the eye piece. Maybe crazy glue or hot glue the lanyard to the unit.
i use the tidewe rangefinder and it's awesome. used it last season and put it away. pulled it out this season expecting to be dead and it was charged ready to go.
Just getting into archery and have bought an old Diamond Edge SB-1. Looking into range finders and have seen your video, have you tested the Gogogo Sport Vpro GS06CA Camo 650Y/1200Y with green readout?
I have tested a gogogo in the past but I don’t think it was that model. Most of the units in this video would be better than the GoGoGo that o tested several years ago.
Nice vid, thorough. However, are we just going off specs listed of the side of the box? Or, were they really used out in the field? Which had the most accurate readings? So on and so forth. More concerned with how it feels in your hand and more on real performances
Yes these were tested in the field. However I have found testing “accuracy” of range finders to be somewhat difficult. It’s not hard to compare their accuracy to each other to see if they get similar readings, it’s much harder to test true accuracy. Unless I have a tape measure that is quite long it’s hard to know how truly accurate these units are. Personally I have had no issues with any of them for my purposes in bow hunting.
Just ordered the mini, thanks. to be clear - when using angle compensation - the adjusted yardage is what is displayed right? as opposed to it displaying the unadjusted yardage and the angle and you have to do the math?
@@TheBudgetSportsman So mine arrived and I mostly like it, however I'm disappointed that there is no spot to add a lanyard attachment. Seems like an important feature when you are up a tree. I may have to glue one on or something.
@youtoober87 I never use one so it wasn’t a big deal…and I forgot to mention it in the video. Mine came with a lanyard and no place to put it. Strange. The hr-f700 does have a lanyard attachment.
@@TheBudgetSportsman So I found some other videos. You are supposed to loop an included strap around the eye piece. Doesn't look like it would stay on very well. Either way mine didn't come with one. I'm returning it and getting a replacement since they can't just send me the strap. Seems like a good device otherwise
Man sorry to hear that. Tidewe is still my favorite budget range finder…Unfortunately, it seems on this level of budget it’s possible that you’re going to get a dud.
Rechargeable batteries are only as good as their service life. Once they're done, they're done. The tidewe chinesium lasted 9 months before it was unable to be charged. Buy quality. Pay once, cry once.
ok, thats strange, because I have had multiple TideWe ranger finders and haven't had battery issues with any of them...not only that. I can't even remember the last time I actually needed to charge one of them. The battery lasts forever.
Prices tend to fluctuate often. There are sales from time to time and always a coupon code including mine. $45 is a great buy, but it’s not uncommon to get it for under $60
Thanks for your review but there are so many more on the market it was not really any help whatsoever unless someone is just going to go for one of your suggestions. Thanks anyway.
So how do you propose that one person could compare every range finder on the market. I have tested nearly a dozen budget range finders and the best results have been the ones in this video.
This video came at the perfect time, I just bought my first bow and am in the market for a rangefinder.
Hope you found what you were looking for.
This was a great post and filled with more information than I could have Imagined. Thank you for both your time and efforts.
You’re welcome. I’m glad you found it helpful.
Just got an Tidewe HR-F1000 from Amazon. It’s an excellent value at $89!

Yes, these are about as low budget as they come, but the results have been good in my experience.
Right? Lol, here's your budget winner...it's only $829 lol

The battery life is amazing.

Have you done an actual range/accuracy test?? Are they really accurate to a yard at 700 yards!????
I have range objects beyond 700 yards. I have not done any testing to see it’s accuracy at that distance
Just ordered the mini, thanks. to be clear - when using angle compensation - the adjusted yardage is what is displayed right? as opposed to it displaying the unadjusted yardage and the angle and you have to do the math?
It displays the line of sight distance in the middle and underneath it shows the adjusted distance.

Oque você acha do rangefinder CF-H004?
How long does the battery stay up in the tidewe?
You should have no trouble getting a full season out of it.
Thank you.
You’re welcome?
Sir Thank you for both your time Info
Always welcome
Good one man!
Appreciate it!
I bought the Acpotel and it was total crap. Hard to read, hard to find a distance, sometimes just gave no distance at all. Returned it to Amazon.

@@TheBudgetSportsman Based on your video I ordered the Tidewe 700 from Amazon and hoping for a better result, thank you!
I can not buy on and ship it to my country they ll stop it in airport 😢
