    Good comparison between the two, I agree the 7 gives the better signal, thanks for the video

      The 6000 is far superior on the fly shit nuggets, however at depth the 7000 kicks goals.

    If you can handle the weight of the Z it is a hard machine to go passed. 1 coil, 1 machine does a bloody good job!

    Good comparison. I’d like to see the deep feature exploited to understand what kind of difference the 7000 has vs. say general.

      Deep is really only designed for large gold at depth, the detector runs much quieter as the pulses sent into the ground are relaxed reduncing ground noise and also the ability to find smaller pieces due to the decay time. I never use Deep and only use General maybe 10% of the time.

    Good comparison vid , but I knew it wouldn't be gold at the collar of an old hole , the wash level is a lot deeper there.

    Have you tried using the 19" coil on the 7000? ML suggests you could possibbly find larger nuggets, deeper in the ground.

    Spewing it wasn't gold. You did well digging that hole with that small pick haha. Your Zed almost seemed to be reacting to more ground noise in Difficult??

      There was some ground noise I agree and Normal actually reacted more however my techniques alow me to work the ground to determine if the indeed the noise is a target or mineralisation 90% of the time.

    nope the 7 is now outdated, the 6000 will get 3x the gold than the 7, the 7 will punch deeper but I’ve never seen my friends dig a big hole yet that the 6000 won’t reach

    • @zachwybrow638
      @zachwybrow638 2 роки тому +2

      if you get the settings right the 7 will beat the 6 for depth and small gold the 6 is neat and an upgrade from the SDC/5000 ect but not even in the same league as the 7.

      The coil wire is fragile on the 6000.
      If you hunt in thick brush the wire will break. The 6000 will find gold that the Z missed, 0.1 grams at six inches and 0.3 grams at 10 inches. Odd shapes the old machines didn't hear. The six with a gold hawk coil is dynamite in the creeks.

      Agree, Have done lots of testing with both the 6 and 7 and yes the 6 does have an advantage on small pieces at depth however overall the 7 still outshines on deeper large targets.

      @@waynereeves9084 don't know about you Wayne, but I'm still getting good gold. Just as many over 1 gram as I get under, and still a few multi ounces. And I have both a 7k and a 6k. Also, where I prospect, emi and ground noise is an issue, and the zed kills the 6 in these areas, which means more gold. The zed sucks when it comes to long hot days though.

    The seventeen inch coil is sub part. Wouldn't buy one. 11 inch rules. You nearly always come home with more gold with the 6000.

      I agree totally, the 17 iunch is really dissapointing. And yes the 6000 will always come home with more small pieces thats what it was designed for, however the 7000 will always out do it when it comes to overall size and weight of the gold found. As a fulltime professional prospector I have used both and the 7 leads everytime.
