Dude, I am very impressed with you owning up your shop and doing what is right and take care of your customers. I will be taking my 2015 GX460 to your shop 11/30. Super excited to see what we are going to be able accomplish with my project.
@@thoroffroadtx I found that you have to know somebody in the business. Shops always say they are 1-1/2 years out for any real fab work. So... welding Is my new next thing..
I just commented on your part 1 video and I agree again. If yiu don't have the knowledge and tools to do this kind of stuff yourself, take it to a shop that is not only an authorized dealer, but also an authorized installer. I am by no means a master at this stuff but I have always installed my own lift kits/long travel suspension and follow every step of the directions from the manufacturer. I've never had an issue unless I got lazy and paid a shop to do it for me. Essentially, that's how a weekend warrior like me ended up with so many special tools lol. I posted a couple videos on my local shop and all of their infinite wisdom. Hopefully more and more will see your videos and take their vehicles to you to have it done right the first time.
Thank you brother!!! we hope that bringing some awareness will make others more accountable and bring some integrity back to the installation side of things. There are alot of guys selling parts, which is great. But we are interested in them being installed correctly to produce the true benefit they were designed to do
@@thoroffroadtx Absolutely brother. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel. Spread that awareness and add a level of support for those weekend warriors mechanics. In reality, there's nothing you can't do that you put your mind to. The main culprit for half ass work is laziness.
Hey brother thanks for reaching out. I do not know those guys but I am going to reach out to them just to introduce myself. I do know the guys at RPM. Not sure how close they are. I will reach out to the West Texas guys and chat though.
@@christiandavis3910 Hey brother talked to them and they are pretty awesome folks. I think you are in good hands!!! need any product besides what you have let me know Jamey
Can you please tell me the proper orientation for the rear Fox shocks in the 2.5 leveling kit on a 2019 Ram 3500 SRW 4x4? Thank you. Im learning a lot from you!
There is only one shop in Florida that is certified on Carli’s website as a dealer and installer. How do I know that even they will do the job correctly ? You are right, 8k suspension system and a 10 cent install is absolutely worthless !
Man I would call Carli on that one. Iknow that Florida has been a struggle to lock down a great dealer. If not Texas is just a short drive!!!hahaha. We have had folks drive further to come. Let me know if we can help Jamey
80k truck, 5k suspension, but wants to pay 200 dollars to install to run in on stock wheels.😂😂😂😂 you get what you pay for. Personally I plan on going with CJC off road because I’m in southern California
Sure. There are a lot of capable guys out there putting parts on themselves. We do it all the time so proficiency is a big factor in a good install. In other words you do something enough times you get pretty good at it. So yes a guy could do it himself. Will he be as thorough as a shop that does these on the daily, no. Will he have all the right tools to meet torque spec, prob not. But you could get a lot in and then rely on a shop to get the torque yields met, check shock pressure, adjust steering stabilizers, alignment, etc. But at that point you are splitting hairs on the cost. It just makes more sense to have a shop do it turn key. If $1000-1500 is too much for someone to pay for a better install, on a $4k-10k suspension package on a $90k truck, it just doesn't make sense to me, long term.
That’s crazy!!! Carli is not a cheap suspension. Why buy a suspension such as Carli, Kore, Dirt king which are probably some of the best suspension on the market and have some Wal-Mart mechanic install it. 4Wheel parts does not even install those suspension. I no I can’t install it I’ll admit it and I’m a pretty good mechanic. I don’t make a living out of it. I’m getting a Carli for my 2005 Ram 2500. I need help ordering it so that I can make sure I order all the correct parts. It not a off the shelf lift like Rough Country, Skyjacker, or. Ready Lift. It is a whole system that is designed for a purpose. Y’all are 3 hours from me but y’all are a authorized Carli dealer.
I concur, I'm out here in the desert struggling with the whole show.. not that Winnemucca has a qualified shop that i know of.. great advice

Got my carli pin top installed at THOR Off-road!
Good video. Wonder if the customer saw it 😂. Poor guy.
Unfortunatly yes he did. and the cost to fix it. 🤦♂ but we did our best to take care of him!!
Don't all the reservoir shocks need to be mounted shaft up to give optimal clearance
Not all. But most piggy back shocks. Yes.
I got my Carli Pin top with all options installed at Thor Offroad. The shop and crew are top notch! Get it done there. You won’t regret it!
H.O.Texasdude do you know how long it took? Trying to plan ahead

Desert Rat in phoenix did some similar work on my 13 F250. I have since replace EVERYTHING.
Hate to hear that!!!

Shock shaft up or down
Super Duty the shaft goes down and resevoirs mounted under the bed. Ram The shaft goes up because the shocks are piggybacks.

Greg great question. on the 3500 the bodies should be up and shaft down. Hope that helps
I showed this to my mechanic and he agrees.
Any recommendations for the Kansas City Area? Thanks
Great job. You have a shop you recommend in the Cleveland, OH area.
Sorry for the delayed reply. I do not but I can ask for you and report back.
