Some details:
* I specified the date as "August 1988" since this particular version (I mean the official/original)
was created using segments from different of the Nassau shows.
* Even though this is the longest released version of the song til this day, nonetheless this one
was also cut off (not as much as the mistreated 2019/2020 fortunately); which means that
here is still missing most of the Rick Wright and Jon Carin keyboard solos and all the Tim Renwick
guitar part. (Anyway FYI, I take some time working on a 100% FULL adapted version that hope
to be releasing in some point of 2024).
Restoration-Remaster breafing
After review of my last remaster of this song back in 2021, (done with my previous-potato PC),
I decided to remake the whole thing but this time including a video restoration alongside with a
5.1 remaster-remix, in the same way I've been working the last year publishings.
About Video: keeping in mind the fact that this footage was the outcoming result from an actual
oldie VHS tape digitalization, the result is pretty pleasant compared side-by-side to the original.
It was seven weeks of testing countless AI models and configurations (I think I actually tested
each one in existence), until after lot of trial and error, I've start to find some results.
Also tested longer chains of cleaning processes but in that point the balance started to become
a pain, with almost no overall improvement.
About Audio: beyond the must/usual editing procedures, I built this version using different
sources/releases, taking the best from each in terms of dynamic range, to sum up to the final mix,
and also I re-added some instumental/vocal nuances lost in the original audio, in between much
other improvements.
An important (and very unfortunate) point to keep in mind here is that the freaking UA-cam's
compression is taking away easily about 40% of the quality sound of the masters I upload,
which seems kinda contradiction, but anyway, is what we have right now.
🔺Usual recommendations:
▪ The 5.1 surround sound can be used on UA-cam on all televisions of 2021 onwards,
as well as in Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku and most Fire TV devices. In addition,
the 5.1 envelope sound is compatible with Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, Xbox One X,
Xbox One S, Xbox One and PlayStation 5. Many televisions of the previous 2020 and years
also support the surround sound. Check the manufacturer's information to know if your
device is compatible with the 5.1 surround sound.
▪ I strongly encourage you to play my tracks using SPEAKERS. The reason is that I work
each remaster based on an "air monitoring"; I mean, using the sound through air just like
live sound normally unfolds, and even though headphones will work, the experience will
always be better over a speaker based system. The better the speaker system the better
the experience; forget about smartvs and cellphone speakers, since all of them are deeply
limited in dynamics and hardly can handle mid-ranges.

Brilliant, thanks for bringing Guy's Bass solos back where they belong. Just one thing....... how many different bass's did he use? He seems to jump from Betsy to a black bass, back to Betsy, then the Spectre NS2 before returning to Betsy again......... in one solo? No criticism of you Obi, I've often wondered this since seeing the original cut years ago.
Hey Scott, glad you liked it. The datail of Guy using three different basses along the solo, is part of the original edit, as I commented in the description below this version (soundtrack included) was created using fragments from different shows, in fact if you do a deep dive along the whole original DSOT, you'll find several of these. I think that was just part of their way to build the edit; I guess they probably made something not much different from what I'm doing in "Nassau Extended Unreleased" after all. Happy holidays!

This is from 1988 there was no VHS in 1989.. They finally released the complete show on disc last year but yeah- I see that Money was edited on the disc version. No matter what version They didn;t play the complete intro to SHINE ON in any version from 1987-2006
The shows took place in 1988 (as described in the overlay), but the movie was released in VHS in 1989 by EMI, (maybe it wasn't in your place, in fact I have the VHS itself and it shows 1989 as edition year). And more recently it was restored in Full HD format and re-issued in 2019 as part of The Later Years box set and standalone in 2020. Regarding SOYCD I think you're confused too, in some venues from AMLOR tour they PLAYED a shorter version and in some venues from TDB tour an almost full version, that always depends on the show setlist.

Very sad that the official remastered version cut several solos from this song. I have the vinyl and even with the LP's time constraints it has the complete song. Soon after, there's Another Brick In The Wall PII, and it doesn't seem to have any video records?
