- My heart melts every time I see these two! Their chemistry is mindblowing!!! The way they look at each other...the words they say...I just can't! MONDE all the way!!!!
That last scene is so powerful!!! Along with the hauntingly beautiful music...I miss this show so much!
I loved Condé so much. His feelings were pure and strong. If I were Mary I would have chosen him at the expense of any kingdom.
Mary could have had Conde and the kingdom, too! He was on the verge of a successful coup when she betrayed him and stabbed him.
Francis and Mary are amazing together but Conde and Mary too are just perfection. Honestly Bash, Francis and Conde were all wonderful w Mary

Ppl give Conde a lot of flack for wanting to be with a married woman, but I think he's really respectful of her marriage(except the whole falling in love with a married Queen). In this episode and the next he's always concerned about her marriage and her duties as Queen and he doesn't really force his intentions on her
Will always wonder what ever happened to Conde , I know he ran away but way didn't he ever try to get Mary back that is something we will all sadly never b/c the show is over ☹️😭😢

Even though Francis and Mary are my top OTP, I do feel for Conde. Mary's feelings are really wish washy, and his are so sure. I know she didn't mean to, but she basically played him like she played Bash back in season 1. Poor guy :/

she didn’t play with bash. bash fell in love with her before she even admitted feelings for her, when she was still very much only wanting francis. then after she admitted that she still loved francis but this was the best decision (her trying to marry bash).

Louis has such a way with words. He and Bash did not deserve such betrayal.
Mary's love for all 3 men-Francis, Bash and Conde- was kind of selfish. She hurt francis badly, she ignored bash for the rest of her life, romantically, and she betrayed and stabbed conde and never looked back at him either.
@@debb481 Mary was selfish with Bash and Conde, however with Francis she was very forgiving and understanding despite of her mistakes she always chose him over the others. Francis also made mistakes with her and he was selfish too. I think frary was just a fair play. They loved each other, they hurted each other and they forgave each other always.
@@debb481 mary was selfish with bash and conde. absolutely. she used bash to "save" francis and despite knowing that he loved her with everything within him, she chose francis and acted like it was no big thing (for bash). then with conde, she essentially did the same thing. however, i understand how her emotions could have been so f**ked up after being raped and feeling that francis was to blame (which, he sort of was). francis was selfish too though, throughout the series.
omg the last scene in the snow with the song is everything. i get teary-eyed and chills. mary and conde show so much emotion and love in their eyes its such a beautiful thing. chemistry off the charts without even touching eachother that's incredible.
That’s exactly how I feel about this scene too! I go back to it every now and then because it makes me feel so happy! Absolutely love them, and I think the two actors dated in real life which explains their undeniable chemistry!

I liked her relationship with Bash and Conde better than the one she had with Francis
Mary had feelings for conde but the fact that she stabbed him, in the stomach where it could easily have killed him, makes me wonder about those feelings: gratitude, infatuation, guilt (later on) or a combination of some kind? It would be extremely hard to stab someone you love, or have recently loved, knowing you could very possibly kill them and then reunite so quickly and so sweetly with your husband)!

I really do love Francis. Yet I always preferred Louis and Mary over any other ship in the series. They have so much fucking chemistry, watching their scenes together is like magic. I love them both seperately, and as a couple. So much raw emotion and longing behind those eyes...

even though I know Mary and Louis love affair never happened irl , since the show made it obvious they wouldn't follow history, I really would have loved to see them be happy together , I mean in the show Louis was there for Mary , he understood her like no one else did at the moment and he never wanted to take advantage of her. I think Francis and Mary never were in love , they believed they had to be , for the sake of their relationship and France unlike Monde which could be a real love story. Just imagine Mary getting back to Scotland with Louis as her husband and the King of Scots, that would maybe bring peace again in Scotland. But we all know Mary made terrible choices and ended up executed by her cousin Elizabeth , and that kills me. Mary Stuart was brilliant, her only vice was passion. Maybe the show wanted to emphasise that with Conde.

Honestly, I never felt the chemistry of Francis and Mary. Francis always upseted Mary somehow and vice-versa. I'm not a fan of "our relationship will always have bumps and it will be hard af forever". I feel like they are incompatible. Also, Francis didn't like Mary in the beginning. And when he started to, Mary was happy.
But with Prince Conde, well, the chemistry hit the highest rate from my perspective. Conde likes Mary for her passion and stubbornness. And he pretty much supports her when she needs it. I like their chemistry tbh

I just finished the whole series, but this couple, Maria, Conde, have no idea how I hate Maria in those moments, the impotence of not being able to do anything, Francisco did not deserve what Maria did and even her decisions and choosing to be manipulated by Narcisse and not telling his queen anything was to protect maria, Francisco was so good that he always thought of maria before himself so it would cost him his country and his life and she paid him very poorly, it is true that she was raped but after what happened Francisco explained to her why he had acted like that and she didn't care and blamed him and decided to take refuge in Count and he didn't waste it, Francisco suffered seeing them together knowing that they shared the bed and he accepted it because he wanted Maria I was happy even without him. And if Maria decided to stay with Francisco, it was not out of love, it was because she needed him to defend Scotland, she was already determined to leave Francisco and what forced her to stay was his illness, it hurt me a lot to see his death and to know that maybe it's not Maria's fault but if I influence her in the end she repents and Francisco was happy his last days I even show at the end that when he dies he goes with him to finally be together again, maybe Maria confused love with gratitude as maria was told in an episode, but i am 100% i hate prince louis conde.

Im in confusion. Whom she loves??? She said she loved francis, but as if he was not enough. First bash, second conde. How could she have real feeling to him while she said she loved francis? Cant understand. Francis is the best and he deserves love and loyalty. Though I havent seen following episodes, I know she will come back to francis because of their obligations and more because he is the only left man after the conde is gone. Like if francis was her fallback. But francis loves her so much and will take back. Seems like a betrayal, I loved Mary before but the pain she made to francis by conde, second love and then back to francis. Why?
Kenna and Lola suggested that her love for Conde was really gratitude which might have been true. Later it seemed to involve guilt as she mentioned to bash. Her trauma led her to conde for comfort while she was quite angry with Francis. Ultimately, she faced a choice: to rule with Conde when he overthrew francis or to betray him. She betrayed him. Conde said that her love for francis was deeper and stronger. Re Bash, she left with bash only to save francis's life and she left Bash as soon as she found out that Francis would not die as a result of marrying her. Bottom line- She had some kind of feelings for conde and bash but, in both cases, her feelings for francis were stronger and she never looked back at either of those men.
I am soo deeply hoping that we will see him again! And I think we can because his treason to France wasn't one towards England so perhaps he will be welcome there, secretly waiting for someone....... ;)

Am I the only one who really hated Conde?? I never liked him at all, he was always so confused and dramatic and stuff. I would never understand why Mary had an affair with him. Francis is so cute and he was always there for her even if it costed his own mental health. Like he never put himself first while Mary was only thinking about herself when in the relationship with Conde. I still love Mary tho, but I found het quite annoying back then.
I hate Louis and i hate mary for loving him she wasted soo much time while francis was sick and then in the end they had only 5 episodes together bc then Francis died :(

That's because Mary, Queen of Scots, was raised in France from the time she was five years old. She likely didn't have a Scots accent either. Obviously, despite taking place in France, none of the actors are actually speaking French, we're just supposed to pretend that they are.
