M113 Installing oil sump's Oil filter housing and Flexplate
Im almost there with finishing up the rebuild of the engine. Got both sumps back on the engine. In between there is a layer of silicone gasket and all the bolts are M6 only 2 are M8 and need to be put on torque M6 10nm M8 20nm
The oil filter housing is havind several loose parts. that need new o-rings. There is a big O-ring like gasket under the filter housing. This is hold down by a 46mm nut that need to be put on 70nm. afterthis there is a plastic pipe with 3 new o-rings that is inserted. And at last the filter is put in together the cover that needs to be put on 25nm
The flywheel needs new bolts evertime it is removed. The torque value is 45nm and 90 degree angle.
For the oil cooler i have changed to a external oil cooler so i made a adpater plate for this but the the M6 bolts need to be carfully put on torque. i already made 1 bolt of the 4 to m8 because of damaged threads. so normaly m6 needs to go to 10nm but be carfully 8nm will maybe save you from damaged threads here.

Thank you for the very helpful and detailed videos. I am rebuilding a m112 for the first time. Have learned a lot from you videos. What country are you in?
Thanks
Netherlands
@@JMSpeedshop Cool, I am Dutch too. Am restoring and rebuilding a 2001 ML 320
@ryanjames5799 nice 👍
Mooie video weer. En bedankt voor de nieuwe muziek 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😁. Dank je wel
is your oil cap missing the center half. it's broken
Oil cap. From filter housing?
I know what you're referring to. I have an M113 in my 4.3L '02 E430 and change the oil myself. There's a center part that holds the oil filter in place; The original filter housing comes with a pretty weak one and mine broke a couple months ago and the newer oil filter housings come as 1 unit, with the cap.
I also change the complete unit the video
@@JMSpeedshop i still got to hook up my oil pressure sender. i am buying leather seat parts right now. I hope to find a cl65amg. I found a nice w140 armored plated s600 with 15k original miles. Just do not have 79,000 usd right now. 3in thick glass
More people have that problem missing the usd to buy more cars 😉
Interesting video n you are doing nice. Cheers
Thanks👍
Thinking about rebuilding an M113.960………curious where did you get the printouts you have with bolt tightening specs, etc?
Send me a email on jmspeedshop.com
@ I did.
I already replied on your mail the same day
Oil level sensor tells you piston went through the block .No presure sensor did the trick?
What do you mean i removed the level sensor. And place a pressure sensor on the front of the block
you need a fleece oil filter for that engine and your plastic cap assembly is missing the center half. it must be replaced. otherwise your oil will bypass your filter.
It is assembled like on paper
@@JMSpeedshop it is broken. i know as i am a master mercedes tech and own that same engine. you need a new plastic housing. yours in broken
Dont think so
@@JMSpeedshop look online and see what a new one looks like and compare.
I know how the need to look already. I already replaced it
What transmission will you be using? E55 trans or a non-AMG model?
55 transmission. Same as V12 models
@@JMSpeedshop Thanks for the quick response! When’s the next video coming? I’ve been refreshing your page for a week lol!
