Darlene 3 Fire evacuees seek evacuation shelter at La Pine High School

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office set up multiple evacuation centers in La Pine early in the afternoon due to the Darlene 3 fire. The La Pine community, in a display of remarkable resilience and adaptability, swiftly transformed the La Pine Activity Center into a safe haven for RVs, the rodeo grounds into a shelter for large livestock, and La Pine High School into a comprehensive evacuation center.
