Genghis Khan! One of my favorite historical figures of all time, and such an excellent documentary of his life! I felt like I watched the Great Khan’s whole life flash before my eyes in perfect audio and video sync. Well done!
Absolutely fantastic. I've always found Genghis to be the most fascinating historical leader. Millions died when he roamed central Asia and beyond, but it's still awe inspiring to learn about what he achieved from a military perspective. I also like that he was tolerant to religious views despite having his own pagan beliefs. Thank you for the video 👊
Documentaries on history of Mongolia are getting better and better informed. It attests the fruits of recently-revived and popular research on the subject. I'm glad. A few years ago, people could make up anything that came to their wild mind and fantasies because there was not available research and publicity to check on.
Just wish they'd focus on the other Steppe conquerors like Tamerlane and Nurhaci, as well as Queen Tomiris who united all the Scythian Steppe tribes and went toe to toe against Cyrus the Great
I am amazed every time I read another book or watch a show on Genghis Khan to Kublai Khan. How they went from tribal steppe to emperor's overnight and allowed religious tolerance is amazing. We could learn from religious tolerance.

This makes me want to read a really detailed history of Genghis Khan. For the first 20 or so minutes of this video, I had no idea who all these tribes were, or what was happening.
"In heaven there is only one sky and on earth there is only one rule"Genghis Khan From rising of the Sun to seting of sun there shall be only one rule that is. "Genghis Khan- The oceanic khan"
Actually the Mongol empire is the largest empire ever, not just in terms of contiguous land mass. The mongols conquered the Korean Peninsula, and the Sakhalin islands, and all the seas surrounding China.
Genghis Khan, quite simply, is one of the most extraordinary individuals who ever lived. His impact on history is still being felt today, for better and for worse. Tyrant, conqueror, statesman, destroyer, he was all of these things and more. Very, very few people have impacted the course of human history as profoundly as Genghis Khan, and fewer still have left so many questions in their wake. Genghis shook the world to its foundations and then left almost no trace behind him. We don't even know the exact of his birth. We don't know, conclusively, when and how he died. Heck, we don't even know for certain what the guy *looked* like.
Absolute Chad, conquered most of the known earth and spread his seed to billions of people. Genocide is moral in war because a show of domination is what a great military leader must display.
the documentary is very interesting. A recommandation would be to add more maps, specially whe you talk about places and regions that exists. It would give more depth to the documentary. Just subscribed
Fascinating look at Genghis Khan’s empire-building! Yet, there’s a lot more beneath the surface, especially regarding his diplomatic and psychological tactics. I’ve uncovered some compelling insights into how he manipulated and controlled his empire that might surprise you.

When you depart this place, what do you hope to leave? Who's gonna carry your body, your legacy, your dynasty? The word Khan in the English language translates to... King The supreme ruler Khan is king
I saw that Temujin's military strategies and tactics are identical to those of Sun Tzu (4th century BC) and Sun Bin, descendant of Sun Tzu (3rd century BC), perhaps during his exile in China he had the opportunity to read the treatises on the art of war? If this were the case, the Chinese empires missed a great opportunity centuries earlier to do what Genghis Khan did. But evidently he was the right man at the right time. Legendary Khan. Does it have anything to do with Great Tataria?
I think the great Khan, Injustice, was a brilliant warrior & leader. We must remember the initial history of the Mongul Empire was written by their enemoes: the Chinese in the East & the Musloms in the West.
His only desire was to unify tribes, peoples and nations. His moral was: "Those who are not with me, are against me." It is similar to the moral of another great man: Jesus. St. Matthew 12:30-33 RVC "He who is not with me, is against me (................) every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven, except the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit." In the same way the Great Khan would also say: I forgive all those who surrender to me, except those who raise their weapons against me and especially those who are disloyal! And so he did. Ask the Muslims and the Jin, the Xia Xia, Europeans, Tartars, etc. A great man, a great inspiration, a noble soul. If being illiterate he achieved what he achieved, I can already imagine what he would have achieved if he had been literate! In any case, he achieved the impossible: The Pax Mongolica. Which is an interesting separate chapter.
Good documentary but there was two issues it failed to address: the massacres committed that caused such great loss of life and his relationship with his wives and daughters who played a very important role in the expansion of his empire.

While I understand that the content on this channel is generated by men and their interests, I must say I am a bit disappointed if not very surprised that this video contains zero references or information about the daughters of Genghis khan and their importance in the building of the empire. He was a very forward thinking man who granted imens power to his daughters, and the daughters in turn made sure that his territories were well ruled.
