Entirely brain dead people man… everything about this is wrong. You CANT block those vents, that’s now a hazard itself and ruins the ventilation of the home. And yes building that close to an existing home is not only a breeding ground for termites and other critters… but also a severe fire hazard and ALSO against building code. You can’t add onto a structure like this without a permit.
Unfortunately wood prices have exploded again. And yes she can do this for less than a thousand . But it used to be less than $500 for that material recently ..😢
@Gunter_Custom i just purchased most of what she showed for around $400 about 6 weeks ago for a project from Menards. I don't know her exact material list, but I usually see regular 3/4 plywood in sheds and the only thing treating would be 2x6, 4x4, etc. Costs have gone up, definitely not arguing that point. Depending on what material you want to use or have to use depending on local codes I could accomplish this shed for around 600
@@MichaelMartin-nq8hp You need at least 10 4x8 sheets (if you fully enclosed the back) of 3/4 plywood alone for what she built there from home Depot that's about 40$ a sheet right now so 400 just for that .. Or since she used pressure treated it $50 a sheet so $500 Pressure 2x6s and 4x4 Another $100 min Other 2x4s $50 min Roofing close to $100 At $750 already Cement, fasteners, hinges, etc.. and ,$50 delivery prob over $800 for sure... The funny thing is to double the size of that would only have cost about another $300 in material max .😂
@agapeboytrackz cut a rectangle out of the top of the post so the beam sits down in and on the post. Then fasten the beam to the post. This way the fastener is on holding the beam against the post and if the fasteners fail the post is bearing all the weight
Pressure treated wood... especially with the kids, probably a good idea to be using gloves. Granted the chemicals have changed over the years, they're still nastiness...
First mistake, buying lumber from Home Cheapo. Their lumber is typically stored out back then when it comes into store it is high in moisture. Find a local lumber yard.
Just 2 questions. 1) Are those vents for the basements you are blocking? 2) Assuming your local laws allow for a free standing building that close to the house?
It takes just a little extra effort to not sink the posts into the concrete. And the post will hold a lot of weight too that you attached with lag bolts so they are cantilevered. So they will try to rotate the ground below overtime. Also red bag concrete is not as strong and that method will just take whatever shape the dug hole is vs an even and level column. You just made the column heavy did not create a base for it. Basically you eventually will have rotted posts that are trying to rotate in weak concrete holding the entire weight of the shed and all its contents. In 5 years you may have structural issues after all the freezing and thawing vs 50 years from now. My advice, don’t build your shed next, buy one already built correctly and get it delivered.
Not bad, but I wouldn't have put the 4x4 directly into the concrete. Could have used pier blocks or metal 4x4 metal braces inspected into the wet concrete.
Yes i agree with the other comment. Pressure treated is toxic. If its in contact with the bare skin for to long youll get blisters . And for sure dont breath the dust when cutting . Peace be with the world .
Crazy shit I just sent my woman home for the same shit I I I I I my my I’m in and then you see the man doing all the work 😂 pipe down you didn’t do shit just assist and I’m sorry to be so blunt but damn woman these days be tripping 😅
Unsure if you built it already but you blocked the air vent & need to cut a new one on the same side. Also, just because its pressure treated doesn't mean it won't be suspectable to rot
I love the effort, but what the heck you need plans for you're barely building. Anything common sense those long ways and mixing concrete in the hole bad idea.
Love how you started with "I can build it" and your husband does 80% grant it he should but you should not take the credit. Follow me for their divorce update
According to the construction rules that concrete mix should be mix with water IN A CONTAINER and after being well mixed should be poured in the place where it’s meant to dry
Hey! I work for Lowe’s, my job is pulling these flatbed deliveries for customers/pro contractors. I’m sure this wasn’t ordered from Lowe’s but it’s kind of cool to see stuff like this imo.
I love how it became a family project that is so cute
lol... I was thinking the same

Good job! Suggestion: don't put wood against your house. Breeds termites and increases the possibility of infesting your home.
And what about covering the vent in the basement wall? That can't be good.
@@dagneytaggart7707 I was wondering about that too

That would be a maximum of $600 in material in central Missouri.

I am in central Missouri.. where are you buying from ?
I know it's not a big box store .. cause they are still high ..

I love when nothing stops you from doing something you never done before. We can do anything. Just take your time. Do it right.
Knowing to meet at a joist , definitely know what they're doing.
She didn't do it
You should link the free plans in the description. Im actually trying to build one of these for the mower and yard stuff attached to my shed
Wow, if you need plans for that kind of shed, you have no business building one
Luckily you can try again in 12 months.
I built a shed and a chicken coop for 120$ idk what you're buying
Be careful with handling pressure treated lumber ungloved and cutting without a respirator.
You're a Californian huh??
@brathalamuleb8615 it's known to the state of California to cause cancer. But no I'm not
Yeah I was kinda wondering what was up with that comment . 😂😂😂Commiefornia strikes again ..🙄.@@brathalamuleb8615
Bro what are you on I work in construction we don’t use none of that
@ghost2x alright that's your problem
The posts are almost useless the way you used em. All the weight is on the screws you used to attach the 2x6s to the post .
Concrete blocks would of been better as long as there's not to much stuff going into it 😂
I was wondering if was seeing the correctly. All the weight of the shed is going to be hanging on a few screws.
😂😂😂me already seeing that the ground isn’t leveled and praying sum1 else is going to help her 😂😂😂
Exactly what I was thinking 🤔🤔
Once I saw the quickcrete I knew it was over 😂😂
Honestly this makes me feel good so im subbing
Technically should have notched the posts so the beams and sitting on a solid surface. You are relying on the fasteners
What does notching the post mean
@agapeboytrackz cut a rectangle out of the top of the post so the beam sits down in and on the post. Then fasten the beam to the post. This way the fastener is on holding the beam against the post and if the fasteners fail the post is bearing all the weight
Add rock under the decking 🤔🤔
Ready to see this project come together. ❤❤
Is that your real voice or is that some AI thing?
Thays good tp block that vent. Thatll be nice whenold starts to build in garage on other side of wall
Agreed, and it shouldn't be built that close to the house, will always be damp behind it.
Nice to see a family doing things together and being happy while doing it too🔥💯
this is EPOC MA'AM consider me subscribed!
Quikrete works like that.
Needs more lags or screws in the post
You're an inspiration for us all. 🎉❤

Are you blocking a vent? Curious how you'll be handling that.

You give me hope, that I can also build my much needed shed…my way.
Where can I find a woman like that???😂
I would have done at least a 10x10 tho🤓. It's never enough room in a shed.
Only concern was amount of water used. Should have been twice as much 🤷🏾♂️
Girl $1000 shoot you could’ve bought a nice shit out of Home Depot parking lot for less than that
I love how you take credit for your husband's knowledge and hard work. It's obvious to anyone who knows. Sorry 😂
Yes i agree with the other comment. Pressure treated is toxic. If its in contact with the bare skin for to long youll get blisters . And for sure dont breath the dust when cutting . Peace be with the world .
Jeez mix the damn concrete I fix so many things because people don’t mix the concrete.
I’m sick and tired of all these women on here making me look like a 🐱 !!! 🤬🤬🤬😂
I miss the days when 150 bucks and a little hard work was all you needed to build this. It wasn't that long ago folks

I'm not sure where you live, but if you live in a freezing climate, the posts need to be 4 ft down into the ground.
Im going to build one quickly became we’re going to build one
I’d never have the courage to build a big project like this lol…. Super cool
Unsure if you built it already but you blocked the air vent & need to cut a new one on the same side. Also, just because its pressure treated doesn't mean it won't be suspectable to rot
Lady you can just buy them . .cheap. .spend your time somewhere else
Is building the shed next to your house where there’s a vent that’s going to be covered a problem?
It's nice to see the whole family building that shed, but she said I built, she could barely hold that nail gun.
A she shed ? Wtf u talking about, thats like saying queers for Palestine
You're not concerned about the 2 vents you are covering on the house wall? What are they venting?
Really expensive for how small it is you should be able build one double the size for that amount
From you wanting to build a shed, to the husband doing most of the work is usually how its done 🤭
Great work building a habitat for weeds and critters.
You needed an extra 2x6 where the two plywood’s meet otherwise with time or if floor gets wet it can sink down
I love how i spent 350 and doubled the size of yours 😅
I’m seeing vents on the side of the house that it appears will be covered up once she’d is finished.
Thats a nice way to have wood rot, probably last 5 years and thats being generous
All I heard was I I I I and all I saw was your husband and you working on it
Let me guess; the husband ended up doing most of the work.
When husband doesn't want to do it and gets pulled into the project 😂
nice but for 1000 I can build you a 12x12 for you
I love the effort, but what the heck you need plans for you're barely building. Anything common sense those long ways and mixing concrete in the hole bad idea.
U can get one from tractor supply 4 by 10 for 500
Love how you started with "I can build it" and your husband does 80% grant it he should but you should not take the credit. Follow me for their divorce update
Looks like your husband is building a tool shed
Looks great but you have no access to the house on the corner if for some reason you need to get to it.
What are the vents u are blocking behind it
What are the vents u are blocking behind it
U already have more then $1k in wood so u failed
Those posts in the ground in concrete will rot out
Should have just poured a concrete pad.
Is it legal to build so close to the home? Or does it matter what state you are in?
One side is higher than the other
Who's making sandwiches?
why are the far posts over a foot inside from the corners?
I thought that you was going to build it,not the whole family
You should be post complete videos 👎🏻
According to the construction rules that concrete mix should be mix with water IN A CONTAINER and after being well mixed should be poured in the place where it’s meant to dry
Can you share the link to this build?
no building permit.....smh

happy to have two people😂 she means a man😅😅😅
Do not set wood I cement... mount it on top of a bracket
Don’t let the kids touch the pt Hello
Tell your husband he did a good job
Please please use eye protection
Nooooooooo where’s the foundation
Looks like hubby did most if it
You think you can, or you need a man
Who makes this? Where can I get one
So your husband built it
By herself then everyone helps
Better not block those vents.
😊 seriously that's so fun and my respects for you because I'm always wanted to do something like that
3 people in that she shed 😂😂
Those 4x4s are gonna rot
Chare the 4×4...it'll last longer . By the way you're kicking ass at life
And all the things.
Soso dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥let's go
six by tens?! 😂😂😂😂😂
Better treat for termites
I love people learning as they go. I aspire to be like this. I have some projects I want to do but haven’t had the courage to do.
Good job,a nice project to do,I use to help my uncle build decks, for summer jobs, and he’s a real pro at it,
You got jipped
