Great video ! Those combi boilers are really starting to gain traction around my area . Technology is changing so fast . Every day is a new learning experience in this trade . These engineers are packing more crap in tighter areas nowadays! Keep the videos coming 👍
I work out of Southampton pa. A suburb of Philadelphia. I am very interested in some tech training on these combi boilers. I just stumbled across your channel . Keep up the good work ! It’s great to see different ways techs do things and all the different situations we all run across !! Keep it up ! Pro-press is really changing the game too !!👍👍
Thanks you very much for your teaching, you are very professional and you have the knowledgeable of the about the equipment you are handling . Sorry for the writing is that I am Hispanic but that what l wanted to you know thank you
Quick question. Do those combi boilers have a pressure gauge to show how much pressure is in the boiler , without turning the unit on and looking at the display ??
I put the first one in long ago, the lady never liked the thing from day one and couldn't grasp the concept of only running water at one location at a time, always wanting to shower, do laundry and or dishwasher at the same time. she had it serviced under warranty 5 times in 6 months, they blamed the install saying undersized gas line and too much length from the meter, she then spent 3x+ the original unit and install amount to replace all gas line and higher CFM meter! guess what changed? nothing same exact issues, 8GPM+ wont come out a unit rated at 4 or5?(back then). didn't hear from her for two years after a nasty phone call, then called back for more work... go figure
@@throttlebottle5906 My best friend is also a self employed Master Plumber, and years ago, he installed one in his own house, and he ripped it out 6 months later cause he hated the thing. There are very few tankless units in my area, due to the quality of water in the area. I just don't want the headaches associated with tankless, as I have enough headaches with everything else in this trade. You know darn well, once we touch/install something for someone..we own it...and from your situation, you see why it's not worth it in the end.
touch it and you own it! reason number "1" to not have anything the shyster lawyers can attempt to take now day... government? it's far to late for them, how many are not lawyers or have had law degrees? the real turds that need flushed :))))
if that's city water in a dense area the pressure can actually be changing that much with commercial toilets and such from surrounding building, it looked like ti tripped as you closed the faucet, some nasty water hammer action maybe? and wait, that's the heating side pressure sensor, probably lots of contaminates in the system from old boiler/devices and pipe sealants. maybe they didn't do a good system flush before install or the sensors are just junktronics ;)
Hey chuck do you ever have problems with pricing your jobs? Like do you sell a job and think you didn’t make enough or sell them to high and didn’t get the job?
If there are galvanized fittings it will cause that build up on the pressure sensor an low pressure, never EVER use any galvanized fittings with a tankless, an if there’s still galvanized pipes in the house it will always cause that problem

You have to add a separate pressure/temp gauge on heat loop.
I took the navien class. It was so beneficial, I recommend it!
Need it bad...I really hope to jump in this fall or early 2020.
I took the navien class in new jersey. It was a great class and bought parts as well.
You're a better man than me Chuck, I still won't install or touch anything tankless.

power was off, so no autofill when trying to purge later in video?
probably a check valve in the internal pump also.
It was something to do with new part I put it.....i never did follow thru.
