Engine sound from the 1993 Ford Escort Diesel

Here's some smooth (in my opinion) work of my car's engine. I know that there's no point in uploading this sort of films, but i want to hear your opinions about its condition.

They did sell them in the 80's. I have one. It has a 2.0 RF Mazda diesel engine in it. I love it for sure.

Sounds like it runs well. They are good solid engines. I have the turbo version in a sierra.

Good test. Here in the US, Ford will not sell diesel option for Escorts. Ford claims they would loose too much money on them.

The problem is with a V-8 it has an average mpg of 18 miles per gallon with a range of 360 miles per tank full. The vehicle will have about a 20 gallon tank current pricing in central Iowa of $3.57 US per gallon, which includes road maintenance taxes, you are paying $71.40 US at EVERY fill-up if you drive conservatively. If you live 35 miles from work you travel 350 miles and spend just under $71.40 per week then hopefully your wages are high enough you can purchase food & shelter.

yep sounds good to me i also have an escort they are still good reliable vehicles shame they don`t make them any more i don`t think much of the focus they replaced it with its rubbush

@expiry0209 I know by that sound It is fast mate :) what is the top speed? we dont care about acceleration. The top speed is the important Thing mate.
