After Folty gave up 4 runs, they brought in Fried to stop the bleeding. Fried then proceeded to give up an additional 6 runs, including walking the Cardinals pitcher, Flaherty, with the bases loaded. Didn't even get the second out until it was already 9-0, and it was 10-0 by the time he got out of the inning.
I think people should understand that DeGrom was a shortstop into his mid college career before switching to a pitcher. He was literally playing short before becoming a pitcher in the minors two years later.

His performance at the end of the season is more indicative of the pitcher that he truly is because he used the methods that lead to his great rookie season. Besides Santander, Rio Ruiz, Mullins/Hays, the Orioles defense was horrible. They could not find a good defensive shortstop all year because Iglesias was battling leg injuries the entire season. Camden Yards is also a horrible pitchers park where the ball flies. John Means should be ranked higher when you take into consideration the disadvantages he is faced with.

@@aidenm8113 He had a couple of starts where he threw harder but got hit hard. After realizing this, Means allowed only one earned run per his last four starts. His performance at the end of the season is more indicative of the pitcher that he truly is because he used the methods that lead to his great rookie season. Besides Santander, Rio Ruiz, Mullins/Hays, the Orioles defense was horrible. They could not find a good defensive shortstop all year because Iglesias was battling leg injuries the entire season. Camden Yards is also a horrible pitchers park where the ball flies. John Means should be ranked higher when you take into consideration the disadvantages he is faced with.
