  • The winter moves on but so does the work on the barndominium and work around Westberrie Acres as well. This episode features so much of what has been happening with life and ends with talk about fully moving into the house portion and out of the shop and our goal date for all of that. Hope you enjoy it!

Our island overhang is 13" and that's enough even for adults. Since you're including board and batten a few extra inches would help prevent knees, etc from hitting the batten...
Awesome photos of the North Shore!

It's good to know more Westie owners out there that go to whatever lengths they can to help them live the long happy life they deserve. Like the breed, the owners are unique 😎😎

Another masterpiece Ryan. Maybe it has to do some with our age (guessing we’re pretty similar in age) but man I really have grown to love the simple things and quiet times outdoors. You do such a great job of capturing that true experience. Looks like things are rolling at the property. Hang in there, the fruits of all your labor is getting closer by the day.

Amazing view is right, boy I sure wish I had a canning kitchen, I did 45 qts of tomatoes, 20 pints of salsa, and 15 qts of hot peppers in my kitchen, i`m going bigger next year. The place is coming along great, paint and trim will be a huge difference, I hear ya, it`s not cheap, but sometimes painting is best left to the pros, neat and quick, can`t wait to see the flooring, all the best to ya both and the dogs, be well from South East Michigan.

Glad to see the interior work is progressing along. I'm sure you can't wait for it to be all done so you can finally move in. Also, loved the cinematic work as always. That frozen fog on the trees at the beginning was absolutely beautiful! We had the same thing here for a couple of days in a row and it makes for one of the best scenes of winter.

FYI: Regarding the kitchen counter overhang/seating area, my sister had board and batten under hers and we whacked our knees on the batten all the time and it was NOT fun, even drew blood once. 😳 I’d opt for more overhang to avoid the bruised knees.

Curious what your weekly % of LP consumption is at. I installed a 2nd tank to save on spending winter prices for fillups but with a home and detached big garage along with several appliances and extra car garage heater, I got through average of 7% a week on a 1000 gal tank. I dont keep garages more than 46 to 54F during winter. Luckily this was a warmer winter since LP was 2x more expensive. I also have a whole home genny that exercises every 2wks a few mins and runs when power is out. That guy alone will consume about 8% a day.

Did they do anything regarding the window condensation? We have double hung windows, and during extreme temp changes and cold, we have it show up on the bottom of the top window where it could maybe be a little more prone to air coming in. I've read where this isn't un-common on homes that are well insulated and sealed. Curious what your people said.

Idk what you feed your pets and I'm by no means an expert but I wonder what a certified vet nutritionist would say about if a fresh food diet could help. Since 99% of vets are not certified to give you diet advice, and only promote the brand who pays them, it's hard to find a certified vet nutritionist but I wonder if a naturopathic might have some natural things that could help also. Dr. Karen Becker and Rodney Habib have great information about fresh feeding too.

@@RyanKnorr Nice! Glad to hear, most people just continue feeding kibble since that is what they have always done and associate the issue with the breed. We were actually able to fix one of our cats ear issues with chiropractic.
