I loved Peter Falk as an actor and his inconventional acting style. I truly enjoyed him as Columbo. Quite a man : highly educated (master's degree), an artist (watercolor sketches), a family man who loved his children. Thank you Peter Falk for all the evenings I spent watching you on television. It was interesting, captivating, entertaining and never boaring. We will never forget you. Rest in piece Mr. Falk !
The man had the amazing ability to have you on the edge of your seat when absolutely nothing was going on. I am currently binge watching Columbo and there are so many 1.5 hour episodes that have maybe a half hour of actual content, filled the rest of the way up with Columbo just wandering around, stumbling and bumbling...and I enjoy every minute. His character at times makes me think of the ELO song, The Diary of Horace Wimp.
I have no doubt that Peter Falk enjoyed his life to the max! His energy is contagious - he played chase master with the villains and we all cheered when he caught them! Bravo!
I was a school going kid when i saw Columbo on Pakistan TV . Man !! I became an addict of Columbo and wait whole week to see the next episode. I still leave everything behind if i get oppertunity to see Columbo's clips. I love this guy. RIP Mr Peter Columbo Falk.
Peter was a great Actor. One of my top 10. I have seen many of his films. I think my favorite was the In Laws. Still, he will always be Columbo to me. Thanks for the memories, and background.
I believe Falk has earned his place in the spotlight of acting. and proving himself worthy of all the accolades due to his personal achievements and being a representative of his era and generation into the arts - we will remember him always!
There is a wonderfully touching video of Peter Falk doing a book-signing around the time when the beginning stages of dementia had intruded. Peter Falk copes gamely with the help of friends. There is a great reunion with Jonathan Winters, himself physically disabled, during which you can tell Peter Falk, with some prodding, does seem to recognize him. Unfortunately their conversation is lost to crowd noise. Clearly this gad to gave been Peter Falk's final public appearance.
Thank you, l never knew nor noticed that he had one eye, and so many outstanding additions to his resume. Great legendary actor. You are missed Columbo. RlP
Falk hardly had a "Tragic Life", a hard and sometimes difficult life, but not tragic. All "big" stars overcame hard times early in their careers; it's often a tough ride from Broadway to Hollywood. Narrator/channel owner(s), save the grandstanding for another place.
He was a great actor and great human being met him when I was a kid when my father and other lifers at rahway state prison started the scared straight program for juvenile offenders.falk donated his time and money to fund and narrate the TV special and stayed involved with donations and support for years.he always sent my father Christmas and birthday cards until my father passed away and came to his funeral.
I had dinner with Peter Falk when I was about 10 years old. All I remember, besides him being a great person, was him mom had so much makeup on and a very tight dress. Lol!!!
We finally know who the real Mrs. Columbo is! She was cleverly disgusted as different characters throughout the series. 😂 All kidding aside, it’s incredibly sad to see the tragic ending of a beloved Hollywood legend. 😞
During Falk's Roast, it was decided her name was Rose 😀 But in the episode where they had her funeral, they didn't show a headstone ... I waited. And waited. Oh well.
I love Colombo I must watch the shows over and over again he was an incredible detective and if you notice they use the same characters but they make them look so different with the makeup and you realize that after you watch the episode there wasn't one episode I didn't like R.I.P COLUMBO HANDSOME
Hardly a tragic life, Peter Falk was a well loved actor, he was best known for Columbo, but he was a versatile actor I grew up in the 60's and used to watch Columbo on T.V But like most actors his private life wasn't without it's problems.
Columbo irritates the fuck out of me but I still watch it. I had no clue Falk was a Rennaissance man. I hope it's not true about restricted contact and information .. but it's amazing that just the accusation caused laws to be passed in roughly half the states. Thanks for this - perfect for someone like me who didn't know anything about someone and still doesn't care to know more than what you succinctly presented.
Thursday of last week, I watched a rerun of Ben Casey on the internet Peter Falk guest starred in a fourth season screenplay as an over earing but compassionate physician. Falk was more than Columbi and his guest roles on televion and movies prove it. A truly amazing man.😢♥️
Should a new Columbo series ever be relaunched and not remade then an actor to consider playing Lieutenant Columbo should be played by actor, Michael Richards. Yes, Michael Richards is much taller and due to this fact could play as the son of Columbo with all the charm and qualities of the original Columbo played by Peter Falk. My idea ought to be considered as it is feasible very much so. ☝️😮
I don't even know who Michael Richards is but I really like your comment. You stated a fact, qualified it, refuted problematic issues (height, etc) before they could be raised, and even offered a way to make him the son! (which could totally work the way hatchet jobbed "Mrs. Columbo" - the series, not the wife), ending with a confident statement and surprisingly appropriate emojis 😀 I wish more comments were this intelligent.
I always enjoyed the Colombo series. Tragic that he remarried. The eternal consequences could have been super negative. What God has joined together, let no one rent asunder. Anyone who marries a divorced individual or being divorced marries another commits adultery. Unrepented ... such an individual will not be allowed into heaven. Approval by mankind can often lead to eternal damnation.
Nah ... only a student. The preacher is the one who loved us into existence from nothing and today is so upset about the number of people turning their back on Him that He's implementing a stop loss limit. No worries though, He always respects your free will. So what we choose is what we get ... but you always knew that didn't you. At least you did before your enemies clouded your thinking. Exorcist Fr. Chad Ripperger sells a coffee mug with the message 'Sin Makes You Stupid' Why? Because the enemy in the mirror is quick to rationalize its agenda. My mum loved Columbo and Peter too. I wish my mum was still around to watch this.
👴🏻🥃YOUR MUM WAS A STUMBLE BUM
Peter Falk was a genius in his series Colombo. I love all his shows.
Why call it a Tragic life? Absurd. He had a full life and in the end had some health issues. Great actor.

His comedy "Cheap Detective" is a must-see.

I don’t see tragedy but a wonderful full life of hard work and memorable roles
I don't believe the image at 29:04 is of Peter Falk.
Maybe the sickness did change is physical features? 🤷🏽♀️. But you are right, it doesn’t look like him.
Peter had a great life! He enjoyed it.
I had no idea his experience was so broad. A great tribute to a great actor.
I consider Peter Falk to be one of the best actors. Columbo is one of the greatest TV shows and I continue to watch it over, and over again.
Timeless stories and acting from one of Hollywood greats.
I love him so much too and this year I visited his statue in Budapest Hungary❤❤❤❤
He had Alzheimer's Disease and the fact that you're exploiting his end years with the disease in this photo is nothing short of a disgusting crime
I loved his show & I was born in South Bronx NYC also.😅.

👴🏻🥃 SOOO HOW OLD IS U 900?
Not tragic. Just an old person that was him in real life.
The picture of the man at 27:53 and 29:05 is a strange mistake : clearly not Peter Falk !

Not a tragic life at all. Great man with a great life.
Falk was and always will be one of the best unlike this horrendous narration.
