my father was into heavy music back in sabbath days, into everything actually. we both loved all kinds of music. one day he called me down the Rec room and said "listen to this band, they are called DOPE. the name of the song is DIE MF DIE. its a weird name but you will like it." that is how i found out about Dope, he had an expensive system, and the bass was rockin. my 55 year old father, that was twenty years ago. he loved to listen to Eddie Vedder sing, but he also said that dope is the only band he ever heard that he could listen to every one of their songs. never heard one he disliked. he said they are a very catchy band.
you make it sound like it's odd for old blokes to like metal etc.. I'm well into my 50's an love Dope, Slip, Static-x, and whatever comes my way..... 2022 listened to over 100k minutes of all metal on Spotify.... tho' my most played song was Ain't My Crime by Motorhead...so def showing my age.

that would be me at my 54 now...just took my wife yesterday to AmonA/Ghost here in N.Texas. She resisted it like a Pro !,...Of course, now Ive to partner with her at Mana this coming Saturday ! ( as for my son, he was raised with Rush and Rammstein... until he went to summer in Colombia: lost to Regueton thereafter !! lol.... )
Yeah it does kinda suck this is the setlist. I can't think of any reasons outside of maybe their saving those for a separate tour geared towards Dope, since this is a Static X headlined tour. Plus it's already enough Edsels gotta do those tracks. For me the Lincoln show will be the performance I'm seeing and it'll be my first time seeing Dope, so at least I get to see the classics preformed.

Dope is my favorite band of all time. Got the honor to work this show.
We were able to spend some time with them after the show. Was a 20y reunion for us.
