Love this man! I didn’t know who he was until Sky Earth Gathering this past week and I was blessed to became really close with him and learn a lot from him. I took a couple classes with him and Phillip teaching flint knapping/ pressure flaking/ stone tools and composition hand drill. He’s a really genuine human with a lot of wisdom, a huge heart, great sense of humor, music pours out of his whole being he can turn anything into an instrument, and he’s an amazing storyteller. I admire him in many ways and grateful to have crossed paths with him, Phillip, and all the other instructors and beautiful human beings at Sky Earth. Thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏼
david seems like not only an extremely knowledgable but also chilled person, encouraging and funny and creative and like someone you can learn a lot from, would love to know of other places to see any of his work/demonstrations. The hair/braid scarf thing he has going on is interesting; does anyone know of any other simple ways to keep longer hair in check? bandannas/cloths are so useful to me already, but the braid seems new and different.
Very cool video... seriously tho, did anyone really doubt he would get an ember??... Dave's a legend. I really like that native flute at the end... I recognize that tune as one performed by Matt Graham. Do a youtube search for "slot canyon sessions"... it's on there. One of my favorites, as well as Dancing Moon by Pernelle... another beautiful piece. Enjoy!
Sorry if you thought i was being inappropriate....it was just a joke from a movie.... I love your demonstrations...and your expertise. You ARE the man.
Ya, it was from Castaway right? He (Dave) also said a version of your statement in this video. So that's what I thought you were referencing. You know he was one of three survival consultants that I know of on that movie? He and the other three helped come up with the idea of Wilson. Thank you for watching my videos.
known David for 50 years and have learned so much from him. Growing up with him was soooo much fun
He’s the best kind of person

Thanks David.
There is a guy that has done that so many times, be barely breaks a sweat. Very cool stuff... and not so easy to make a hand drill fire.
Ya he actually learned from studying archeological evidence back when there was no one to teach how.
Another good video 👍

Pretty sure David and I are related 😅
One way to find out!
Great content, but the music? C'mon brother. lol
It’s literally impossible to make everyone happy with free licensed music from UA-cam so you’ll have to deal. ;)
@@TJackSurvival
It has nothing to do with free licensing issues. Plenty of better fitting music. But, i dealt with the poor choice.
@@billpeart to be blunt I really don’t care if you like it or not. :)
Could have fooled me. Anyways, I'm just messing with you brother. Take care, love the content!
