when I saw your fabric straight off the loom, I thought mid century modern. I pictured a table runner on a teak table or buffet. I ordered the Japanese color book from Amazon!
oh my lort!!! creativity just poureth out of you! i don't know how long it would take for me to create any length of appealing, original, unique fabric like this!!! i don't have the brain/eyes for color. 2 is simple. 3 is difficult. 4+ is just not gonna happen for me...
I’ve spent the day weaving and knitting while watching so many of your videos. What a fun time you’ve had over the last few years doing so much weaving. I love how you’ve determined to wear your weaving. This shirt is probably my favorite and is so flattering on you. I know you’re super happy with your new haircut, but this is a cute style as well. Happy weaving!
Hello Andrea, What a stunning woven top!! The colors & the funky design pattern is TOTALLY BEAUTIFUL!! I would definitely BUY this one if I ever saw it!!! Just gorgeous!! I wish I had a weaving loom like the one you used here!! Of course, I would have to learn to weave first & then attempt a gorgeous piece like this!! You, my friend, are a naturally talented artisan & teacher!! You need to consider TEACHING in SMALL RETREATS, I would fly out from CA to NY or wherever you choose to be!! THANK YOU FOR ALL FABULOUS VIDEOS ON YOUR CHANNEL!!!! You bring a smile & interest to my day👍🏻💕🤗👏🏻👏🏻!!
Another fabulous video Andrea! The close ups and added graphic is really helpful for people wanting to learn these techniques. I happen to have an English version of the same Japanese colour combo book and it's great. Congrats once again.
с удовольствием смотрю все ваши ролики. я в восторге! вдохновляюсь, глядя на ваши изделия. планирую в будущем соткать и сшить что-то себе. спасибо за вдохновение и весёлое настроение
Thank you for such clear explanations for what you're doing. As a new person to weaving, I am really encouraged by your working process. Weave on Andrea. Thanks for sharing!
More amazing inspiration! What a fantastic use of colour and how amazing the amount of twist in your yarns has such an effect on the fabric. Well done! Thank you for sharing. I am a very novice weaver. Clasped wefts are definitely something I should be trying on my rhl.
1st time I've watched you and I'm blown away! I very much love fiber arts but am very bad at all of them, lol. Will subscribe because your talents are beautiful and I want to see more.
This is just magical! I love your sweater and the fabric that you created. Thank you for sharing the cool way to twist yarns together. Your videos are so much fun!
This is an interesting way of plying yarn and changing the amount of twist. Since I am also a handspinner in addition to being a weaver, I would ply yarn on my spinning wheel and increasing and decreasing the amount of twist while plying.
i'm rewatching this episode cause i really love that saori pattern.. i've done a deep dive on the the saori blackbook patterns, and it's nearly impossible to get my hands on one of them. a friend just went to japan and i sent her on a challenge to find me a copy, to no avail. how did you get your hands on these pattern books??? so lucky....
do you know any resources to learn how to warp/dress a SAORI WX60 Loom, I'm new to weaving and this is the type of loom I'll be getting and I wanna learn how to do that so I can start using it when I get it, I know there's classes but I'm looking for an online resource, thanks, I love your work you make some truly truly beautiful pieces, great channel, I happily subscribed because your work is really great, thanks
I do not hemstitch! I just leave the edges raw, cut my fabric off the loom, then either tie or sew a straight stitch along the edges before wet-finishing.
@@AndreaAlexander I'm so glad! O found one of you vids ages ago and though: oh wow! this saori loom thing looks awesome. i researched it obsessively for months and decided i had to get one, course they cost more than my car so i gave it a miss. 3 days ago you turned up on my recs and i intsta-subbed and watched every vid. (I had spent so long looking for your channel after that one vid.) I then see you make this absolute genius piece of work. so you know what i did? i bought a Rigid Heddle Loom. It's more my budget. I cant sit here and just watch. i just finished warping up. you have inspired me to do something i've wanted to do for 15 years but kept putting off. so i need you to know that when i said it was fucking stunning, i meant it with every fibre of my being. i could watch you make anything! keep up the amazing work.
love this, and aspire to do something similar someday. your assistant, however, needs to be retrained. I saw how many times s/he rearranged the pattern layout behind your back (or in front of it - cats don't care) lol

What a lovely sweater! I'm just starting to weave, maybe some day I am able to create a sweater too . Greetings from Austria
I love it! Looks like something I'd buy in an expensive boutique. Love the colours and the shape. Very flattering.
That means a lot to me, thank you so much!! 🥰🥰🥰
You are inspiring! I have woven shawls, scarves, totes, dishtowels, but never clothing. You have given me the courage to do so. God bless.

Interesantan video.
Bravo!
Outstanding

That's definitely an option! I haven't tried that before. Please let me know what happens if you end up trying it, I'd love to know!! 😃💕
Thank you so much for sharing great ideas 👌👌👌👍👍👍
Thank you so much! 😃
Both you at the park and your yarn on the loom did a lot of spinning this video. I love the look of this technique!

❤❤❤❤
How many shafts do you weave with when creating a design like this?
My project was made on a two-harness loom, but this technique can be used on any kind of loom!
Can I ask please do you hemstitch, I’m new to Saori. Do you are urn we sometime? Thank you for your inspiration
I do not hemstitch! I just leave the edges raw, cut my fabric off the loom, then either tie or sew a straight stitch along the edges before wet-finishing.
Well that's fucking stunning! what was the prompt this month?
Your comment made my day 🤣❤️ The prompt was this over-twisting/plying technique!

Please don't use cashmere. They are brutal to the cashmere rabbits.
Cashmere does not come from rabbits, it comes from goats! And the process is not brutal, the goats are simply shaved ❤️
