Hey Bricksie, Love the recent progress on the lego city and amazing content overall. Just had an idea where when you are finalizing the placement of the skyscraper block/chunk, it would be cool if you moved the construction zone set closer to this block so it appears as though a new skyscraper is being added. Keep up the great work and we all appreciate the dedication you put into your craft
it might be really cool to try to make some kind of a green skyscraper (green as in environmentally friendly covered in plants etc altho im sure you could pull off the color as well), I would love to see a design of that from you I also love the new designs they look great
Yes!
I'd like to see this also 😊
The nugget scyscraper doesnt need interior as you dont see it but the white black one deffinetely needs interior as you can see clearly inside,so that could be a great new moc project for you
Beautiful skyscraper
I love the black and white skyscraper being offset and ground level - Great Idea :-) sweet design.
Wow, both of these sky scrapers turned out incredibly. Love the offset floors of the black and white building! They look incredible with the avengers tower and daily bugle. Great job.
That looks awesome. Maybe instead of doubling the modular buildings sideways, you could make them taller. I would love to see that 🙂
Can’t wait for the next video 👍🏻
You could use those fun colored masonry bricks for the mini modular buildings in the amusement park
Βring back the hospital skyscraper and improve it,a city like that needs a hospital
For the second skyscraper, you could ask your lego building friends or even subscribers to build one floor each (maybe with a certain theme locked in) and then showcase those and insert them in the building.
love your channel and your city but im not a fan of the skyscraper project. i think it blocks a lot of sightlines and it lacks the level of detail your city normally has. love to see the amusementpark fully tiled and finished, it looks awesome.
Agreed
@@tattoochezyeah the black and white one doesn’t look good, but the other one does, well it did before he put the sanctum roof on it lol😂 I feel like the skyscrapers are just a waste of space, there are so many better sets he could put in those areas instead.
I love that Gargantos set! I've got one attacking my Galaxy Explorer.
Bigtown Bricksie!!! Love the incoming height to your city!! As another growth project I'm thinking you could modify the diner to go on top of the bowling alley. Then you use the roof as an outdoor area to the diner and you gain another base plate free in the city!!
For the raised section that you want to make, why not leave the road at the height that it currently is and just elevate the buildings in the middle. You could then connect the sidewalk to raised section with steps and slopes.
And then under the raised part your parking garage maybe?
And also add a trainstation/subwaystation underneath the skyscrapers!
I feel like adding floors and an interior to the skyscrapers would really add some dimension to the city
18:00 you could add a floor for The Office set and put the building on Pop culture street, cause I remember when the set first came out how you talked about how it doesn't work well as a display set
awesome video jordan the skyscapers look amazing great job
This building has so much potential you must add floors and a full interior
You have such a cool city ❤
Love it! The black and white tower is just what I thought it should be. With offset floors and an arcade on the ground floor using the black and white contrast. Wow. If it were to sit further back in the city the empty floors might not be so obvious.
Looking interesting but I really think it would be better with an interior as it will add a story. You’ve learned a lot from your mansion build and doubling the modular building so seems a perfect time to put those skills to the test! Plus you could use the abundance of minifigs in there!
The sky scraper could incorporate lofts, built at a later time. Apartment style. But also, the tan should be used for flower boxes, or detail on the SNOT bricks to tie the colors truly together.
I'm severely jealous you found lavender masonry bricks. I'm primarily a FRIENDS collector.
The lavender bricks can be used for your “Disney purple wall”
Love how your skyscrapers are looking
Said it yesterday, but I still really like the nougat tower. The roof and ground floor look really fitting. Only minor suggestion would be to add some black inverted slopes to the roof panels that hinge to close up the little gaps. But you can barely notice them so either way it looks really nice!
Also Simon absolutely killed it with the ground floor of the black and white building (maybe it should be called The Zebra lol)
If you wanted to expand the joke shop from diagon alley it uses the lavender Masonary bricks, I think that would definitely look cool
You should turn the brown building into something like the CN tower and just fill the inside with stairs leading up the top, and just have a viewing spot for mini figs at the top.
Not looking too bad but I was hoping for a more 1930s-1960s vibe with the skyscrapers. The more brutalist look doesn’t do the city many favours. Seeing as they were made to consume parts I understand the choices made but there could have been so many more architectural elements added to help them blend with the construction site and daily bugle. A previous comment I saw mentioned turning the pillar in to a skyscraper and I like the idea but think you could take it further. You could keep the pillar fairly slim and plain but add a wide dish high up for a space needle tower type of look. It would really bring the pillar in to the city much more and give you a unique landmark that would be tough to add without the support that the pillar gives you.
Nice to see the city as it continues to evolve. Keep it up.
Looking great 👍 bet Simon is loving his little bit of free rain to build what he wants 😊
Simon is a Lego-building beast!
The nougat building would go great with the underside of the sanctum building!
Jordan! Ah man just wanted to express my gratitude for your videos. My industry went through COVID followed by a strike. Been a couple tough years … BUT in that time I found your channel, created a Lego room, taking inspiration from yours.
Overall I just wanna say thanks for keeping me busy, entertained, and kept to a room where I can’t annoy the wife to much.
I’m sure you relate
Sorry, but the black and white skyscraper is a backwards step in building techniques. It looks like you have built up around it and it's the last to be updated. This is my personal opinion and you're city 😊
I think it’d be cool to turn that building that’s under construction into a skyscraper that’s being constructed. You could just add the structure of the building that goes higher than it already is and it’ll look like a skyscraper that’s being built
I have to say I'm not a big fan of the sky scraper themselves... you would never see a skyscraper with a stopped roof like that since the snow falling from it could kill people... I think the opportunity to either have a green house on top or some sort of green patio maybe
Also for the next sky scrapper, please look up the bosco verticale towers in Milan, I think something like would be absolutely beautiful in lego minifigure scale
i’m always amazed by your/Simon’s builds. one idea for your sky scrapers is to make the base a parking garage, you’ll often see parking garages serving as the first few floors of taller buildings in dense cities, gives height and saves on glass, also could be used to free up speed champion space.
The sky scrapers are great. You might want to move the Daily Buggle over and maybe even the building under construction. They would probably look good on the other side and then you would be able to the move the shorter buildings onto another block. Just a thought. Looking good
I can’t wait till you eventually get that warehouse and the city is as big and detailed as your dreams clearly want it to be
Suggestion: run some nougat masonry up through the gray sides. Like just a scattered pattern. I think it would tie the roof in a bit better.
Looks awesome either way.
Maybe putting those taller trans blue pieces on the front of the building would look good too. Like a CEO office kinda thing.
You've taken it to a whole level! Pun intended. Looks amazing, watching the city grow
Bricksie you are awesome
Both skyscrapers are awesome!
You should add a lobby to the nougat building, you can call it the Pab building
I like how you offset the floors of the black and white skyscraper
I don’t mind no interior on that building . You can’t see in anyway. Save some money I say. Love the idea of the elevator rather than stairs . Looks great
You should make one of the floors of a skyscrapers a penthouse for when you remove the mansion, you could defo do some cool interiour like a master bedroom and a big window looking out at one part of the city and a balcony on the other side :D just an idea
Very very very build wish I could do that later to! Nice video (as always)
You should add a few skylights to the top of the roof of the nougat building with black frames. Would look very nice
love the skyscrapers, but maybe you could move the nuget skyscraper next to the sit complex
Also you can also add some detail on the roof of the masonry skyscraper like an Ac unit
Great video. What if you used the lavender bricks in the amusement park. For the shops.
Bricksie. I give it a week until you start adding an interior to the black and white one. This would be a great building to start adding lights to.
Consider this Sky Scraper a Built-To-Suit. Build-out as new tenants want to move in.
Really like the nougat skyscraper but wonder if you could add a bit more details to both buildings? They both seem a bit flat compared to the rest of the city.
The nugget skyscraper is very cool, but I personally dont really like the black and white one, I feel like it clashes too much with the style of the rest of the city and doesn’t really blend into the skyline.
Rechargeable batteries for the trains will save you a ton of time and money. highly recommend!
I use Amazon rechargeables 🙂
Both the skyscrapers look great! Agree to one of the other comments that they would look cool near the construction site. Also if you do add interiors I think a sky garden would look amazing.
I absolutely love these skyscrapers! I love the offset done on the black and white one. For the next towers, could you do one with balconies and maybe one with a NYC style spire on top? Im excited for progress
Love how it’s lookin very cool
Love the nougat, but the top look if black slope on all 4 sides. The black and white building is also great. The floors on angle is something you could imagine on a new building irl😊
Hey, Bricksie! I think that the nougat colored tower would look great with trans-black windows. It makes sense if you don't have that many parts in trans-black, but I think that would look great, because that window color just reminds me too much of City sets.
looks great as all your builds do but in my opinion they should all be spread around the city so they don't block eachother
That's a gorgeous building though. Too bad you couldn't get more clear blue parts this day.
I think adding interior atlesst a lobby would be really great
I think the pool for the mansion would look good with a couple planters even just either side of the doors to add a bit of colour.
Wow, I really like the way the skyscraper block is coming along! Those two buildings seem super well done! I like the masonry and design of the first building. It definitely gives a classic old style New York/Sanctum Sanctorum style build. Simon did a super good job with the second building! I love the offset of each floor as it adds depth and interest to the building. Definitely could that being a tech company headquarters or even a luxury apartment building. I know you said you wouldn't put any floors or interior details in the first building (which I 100% agree with because you won't see it either way) but, it might nice just to add a little lobby just make it lively at the base of the building and maybe some more opportunities for story telling.
Would a parking garage be a viable build for you? It would add some more height but also serve a purpose.
To add hight you could always add a parking garage underneath as the main floor
You are amazing
Making the crane taller might be cool or adding another
You can make the up movie van with those skyscrapers
Nice buildings. The skylight is a nice touch. But I think your elevator will block it.🙂 Maybe make two skylights? One on each side of the elevator.
Video idea: intead of a normal skyscraper you could build a ninjago borg tower
I would suggest adding some green elements to represent moss on the brown building to add a little more detail and colour since you already have the studs attachments available. Curious to see how that would look plus how you’d make it look, cheers
You literally built a Cartoon Network skyscraper 😂
Hi ! you have to put a fire emergency stair on the brick building !
Love the nougat skyscraper! As the windows don’t really allow visibility inside anyway, you could probably even get away lighting it from inside, esp if you create fake shadows that make it appear like there’s an interior.
Oh, my word! The offset black and white tower is epic! I love it. In my head I've been naming it the Humbug Tower (after the sweets). Do you have Humbugs in Canada? They're a stripy, black and white, boiled, minty sweet with a chewy centre and they're rather good. I admire your continued dedication to your city and UA-cam channel. Thank you, Bricksie (and all of Team Bricksie)
The newget skyscraper reminds me of an apartment complex for some reason
That looks cool 😎
I think you should switch roofs on these two - there are now too many colors on each building. The "nougat" building should have roof with trans-dark blues windows and the roof on the "black and white" should have trans-clear windows. I would also make the entrance for the nougat building grey or black, the light tan adds another color which is not present anywhere else on the facade
Just a thought, the sanctum bottom would look killer as the ground floor for the nuget skyscraper?
Also, I think it would be a little more realistic if you had the white and black building all white floors then all black floors... I think it definitely has a "modern" feel. But I think your city has a more classic look.
Just some simple thoughts from a simple man... 😂
I Always enjoy the channel!! 🤘😎
Much Love from the BloodShot Studio! ❤
Honestly interiors are half the fun for me but it would not be hard to use your design and make the floors modular. Looks great.
Indeed, just need mass plate and tile
Amazing!
More great city MOCs, fantastic creativity Bricksie and Simon! (Go Civil Engineers!)
I think it will look better to put the black and white skyscraper where the old sanctum was
What about a Lego version of spook central, the Shandor building from Ghostbusters. Be an interesting build. 👻
Hi briksie you should move the sit complex and the construcción site to the skyscraper block I would look very cool
Add a tower that has a spire/gets smaller as it goes up (Burj Khalifa style?)
complete the bricklink constuction MoC into an actual skyscraper!
If you consider adding lights to the city then doing interiors for the buildings is necessary but right now it's not that important 👍
Just had a thought, I wonder if the mansion could be converted into a skyscraper 😮
I missed you by a day at the Lego store. I went on Thursday and I assume you went on Wednesday . Lol
Boston University has a new computer science building, I think it would be so cool if you could recreate something like that in your city
I feel like the brick one is a bit flat. I know most steel skyscrapers are sleak, but those brick ones are usually ornate
On the nougat skyscraper roof, I think the grey clips look better than the black ones. Maybe consider using grey instead?
u should make the stay puff and the sky scraper
luv ur vids
i don't really like the black and white one but the first is great
i think if you put the construction site with the skyscrapers it would look great
Starting to look like a real modern city!
i think it would look good if you put midium nougat 1x4 rounded tiles between the blue windows on the studs.
