LEGO City Hospital Rebuild!

- In this video, I rebuild my custom LEGO City Hospital! This build has been in dire need of an upgrade, the original version was sort of chunky, incomplete, has solid walls, used lots of panels, and the garage was too small. I did like its height though! I am currently working on adding skyscrapers to the LEGO city so I think this was the perfect time to rebuild the hospital! The new and improved version features an ambulance pull-through, windows on all 4 sides, curved windows, a helicopter pad, and an elevator. Today I build the exterior and I plan to start the interior soon!

Love it. How about doing a courthouse moc to have near the police station and hospital and fire brigade?
With big steps like Law and Order! Haha
You could make two skyscrapers that would connect through an air bridge over the road. Or a skyscraper that has an outdoor area that would take up 2 floors to give some space for trees and stuff so it could be 3 normal floors-2 open area floors and 2 other floors above it.
Or a gondola that travels between 2 skyscrapers using the same build as the one in ninjago city markets but change the colour of the gondola to mix it up
Like downtown?
You should do a glass elevator shaft on the exterior of the building. Lose some sidewalk, but maintain your interior space. Perhaps on the complete opposite side from the pull through, or one of those corners.
You could bulk out the red column and use it as your elevator shaft.
Brilliant. One minor nitpick, I think the "H" would look better in blue or white rather than black. But overall, fantastic build.
Definitely blue
Forget about the elevators! You’re so right Jordan, they’re a waste of space. We can just use our imagination!
It looks good! The red really does add a nice touch. As for the train tracks, as long as the oull through is only 1 direction, you wouldn't "need" to worry about the train crossing until the ambulance is leaving.
I thought i was the only person who really thought stairs and elevators were totally a waste of space. Glad to know you are the same. Doing a facade look is best for elevators. Stairs, I almost never do.
Jordan, you are my favorite Lego youtuber. I watch your videos everyday. Please don't let people tell you what to build or how. If you don't want to put in elevator details, don't do it. There is no wrong way to build a Lego city, and it is easy to criticize from the outside. This was such a fun build! You are inspiring my 6 year old. 😊
Garden works perfectly next to the hospital. But please move the gas station. That space could be used for another portion of the hospital with a sky bridge. Or even an emergency room with more turning space for the ambulance.
It would be cool to see a skyscraper built around the post with a train station built into it. It could potentially block some of the view though.
I like the build and the drive thru for the ambulance. It would be nice if you had a second 3 level building connected by a walkway with the park in between. It would fill that area nicely. Even move the drive thru to the second building and then finish the elevator without it interfering with it. The area with the drive thru could be the emergency area.
Great job. Good placement. I would put a statue near the hospital of like the founder or something like that. In the garden next to it maybe.
My favorite Lego city ❤
I really like the hospital where you placed it next to that garden. A lot of hospitals have some sort of park or garden next to them for longer term residents. It could be a nice touch to add an additional access to the garden by removing some of the hedge! Keep up the great work :)
Good idea, I will take it into account for the hospital in my city
@@atticbricksnot you naughty boy
i agree with where its positioned... its central for the whole city. the only thing id change would be the color of the H... awesome building!
Idea for a city - a little church. May be fun to build.
Wow, I like the hospital. I would probably turn the hospital a 180° and then move the octan gas station somewhere else I don't know, that's my opinion.
Like it! What about some kind of grocery store MOC?
There is a new Viking village that just came out on Lego. You can get it on October 1 it’s really cool. You can integrate it somewhere near the beach.
awesome video jordan the hospital looks amazing great job
Very nice hospital!as you cannot avoid having the train near hospital ,you should think having a small train station near hospital that can actually serve the hospital
I love the hospital color scheme! Plus the big H makes it seem more international/worldly. And the placement is 👌🏻. One way to save the blue window panels could be to make one column be white panels instead and when you do the interior that’s where you can put things like the light brick x ray machine. That would save 3 or 4 and then you could put the other pieces back in the mansion pool (I grew to love that mansion!)
When we designed a new hospital where I worked we put all the patient rooms around the outside and all offices on the inside of the building so patients had the sunshine and view rather than the staff. Just a thought, if it stays where it is that park would be a great asset for getting patients and staff outdoors for part of the day. Perhaps some Tai Chi in the park.
You could make another medical building with a small footprint on the adjacent baseplate to give enough room for a driveway/alley for the ambulance. Maybe a complex with a different doctor on each floor. Dentist, Chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. then you could place it on a two baseplate wide block and still have a pull through.
Looks really cool. Maybe positioning the hospital next to the Octan gas station isn't the greatest with them both being majority white buildings. Could always design another skyscraper that has the pull through running through it as well, almost like access to an underground car park.
It's your city, leave the elevator out! Amazing work as usual, I remain astonished at the end of each video I watch.
👏👏👏
You could raise the helipad one more step and then you would have enough room for a flat red roof on the faux elevator. 😊
I really love the new sleek, modern design of the new hospital! It came together very well. Granted, the old pne was also pretty good in my opinion. For the H on thenside of the building, i like it but, i think it might need to change colour to stand out. Maybe like a blue colour of some sorts with white highlights? Or the classic blue hospital sign with the white H. Truely up to you just thinking out loud.
hope you make a skyscraper out of the hospital as opposed to having random skyscrapers in the city.
You should have a building where it goes over the road where Minifigures can walk over to get to the other side. It would give more room for more building space as it is above the roads
Love the freehand build technique
looks really good, i think the H would look better if you put a circle behind it to give it more contrast
Enjoyed your concorde review yesterday was
Fantastic hospital update looks awsome
Maybe you could add an antenna mast on the roof as well. Awesome build regardless 👍
There are elevators that are glass, like in many shopping centres or fancy hotels. So technically you could put the elevator shaft up against the windows and it would still make sense. Could then even put a minifigure inside and still see it from the outside. Although the part on the roof should remain solid in my opinion.
I really like the base of the hospital and look forward to it’s completion. Keep Brickin.
We definitely need a Daily Planet or a Wayne Manor building in the city
As someone who once asked you why the city didn't have a hospital when the old hospital *was* still in the city, I can confirm that this new version stands out much clearer and looks a lot better :) Nice work!
Nice work! I’ve been looking forward to the hospital’s return. The interior scenes will be fun to see 🚑
❤ this transformation! 😢 Poor patient that gets transported via helo...they have to stand up in the elevator 😂😂😂😂
Agreed . Stairs waste space . Using imagination is the whole point of lego , so let’s imagine the elevator is behind those doors . Cool hospital .tfs
Soooo coooool
Hospital looks great
I’m working on a 48x48 hospital, five floors, ambulance pull through, two elevators, and a stairwell. I’m planning a full ER as well
Looks bricktastic Jordan. I would love to see you do a 50’s themed street in your city. Maybe dedicate a street that you could do reoccurring themes. I think that would be a great way to add new sights to your city.
Looks beautiful and so cute
Loving it! Hope to see the interior details soon
Just leave the elevator out of the floors. It's on the roof and implied on the first floor. It looks great.
Love it however it would be nice if you add rather a slope or overhanging tile on the elevator to add a little bit of detail and remove some studs off the tol
Duuddee! Time lapse is siccc. Love seeing your process
Could you extend it half a baseplate and put the elevator outside the main building with bridges into the main building? That would fill that space more, and make it so if a patient came in from the ambulance they could go straight up to one of the higher floors? That might look cool, give you a slightly different skyscraper space, fill that gap and give you some outside space to put chairs and landscaping outside?
like the H crooked also and the different colour of the H , a couple of red trans on the roof to resemble lights like on the top of tall buildings
Maybe you can build the first floor a bit wider and make like an entrance section since you have bit of a gap now next to the hospital.
Very cool! But i think the imagination station looks a bit out of place, I’m not sure what it is, it might be a bit thin or a bit too tall, but I don’t think it matches the feel of the sky scraper area.
Or the ambulance pull through could go underneath an other building as well. Also maybe keep one small build in the skyscraper district and than build a scraper hanging over it, like in some big cities in the US.
When you had the hospital placed I thought that maybe you could turn the ambulance pullthrouch into a corner, since the back of that is open. That way both sides don't need to hit a road and it could even be a corner building in that sense.
i like where is at, maybe it can be integrated to the park nearby and even have a small train station there for the hospital since it’s already near the track
If you add the elevator on each floor, they will interfere with the windows but you can put a washroom in the back. PLUS you will save 2 glass panels per floor 🤣
Nice thing is since it's modular you could always add more floors as you get the parts
You could rotate the hospital 90° so the pull through is parallel with the road. It's think realistically it makes more sense
Hey there, watching your build you should ('ve) built an emergency room as a separate building, maybe as a 16x16 to be placed behind the hospital or even across the street. It could be one floor & have additional floors added later (Just like in real life). As far as the elevator. I would create 2 of your elevator "shafts" next to or near each other where its like a transfer on the second level to the rest (Creates an illusion that the 3rd floor & above was added later) & that "New" elevator will go to the rest of the levels. That way it can be against the wall and not in the middle.
Looks good. I like the curved window. They will look better with some flowers. Maybe try to incorporate the garden so patients can sit in it. The lift gives you options to divide the space. Hospitals aren't big open spaces. They offices, wards, etc. Lastly I like the crooked H better. It looked less fun when you straightened it. I thought it was meant to be crooked till then
Love the building. I get the whole elevator thing. Nice detail, but not necessary. Something you could consider (next time), is using that red strip down the building into a elevator shaft. would look great with clear red bricks.
It definitely needs more floors, a city that size that is a small hospital
I really like that you implemented the drive through emergency entrance for the ambulance. Makes it much more realistic, overall build looks fantastic! Skylights aren't usually put near helipads, but I think that would look great too!
Very nice Jordan! And I like the architecture very much. It might look cool to create a bit of overhang with the heli pad. And it will give the heli some more clearance
Your city grows so fast... I have to hurry otherwise I will not find more bricks available on the market to make my BRICK ON WOOD ...
It looks stunning. Love how the city looks keep up the work
As someone who got the original set, modded the helicopter to carry three stretchers, made custom ambulances I freaking love this so much. As for the elevator eh you got the important parts the bottom and top. Maybe you could either make or get another ambulance just so you can have one driving in the city and a scene here at the hospital where they have a patient coming in or something
I think it is a good location.
You could have the helicopter land on the elevator and then do the rest of the roof with a rooftop garden.
Oh this is going to be epic!! ☕️
My opinion on this is 1. a working man is not suppose to have a clean desk. and 2. regarding the elevator. maybe move the bottom one toward the edge and on the other floors use that one window has part of your elevator.
Can you please tell me what happen to 2013 kings castle moc.
Looks awesome
Maybe expand the width of the red vertical to be the elevator shaft.
I'm late sorry but I'm excited to see you redo the hospital man❤
Looks good 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy the high speed builds, hope to see more in the future!
Bricksie, can you add in a second red pillar?
Why?
Exterior elevator boot, made of glass panels, hanging between TWO red pillars.
Also lets you sneak in the H, as part of the structure, if so wanted.
Выглядит очень круто!
Adding a transblue rolling garagedoor would finish it off.
Why not have HOSPITAL running down the side and can serve as a elevator background. Good build
That spiral building is a real eye saw
One suggestion: You could also use the pillar of the room to make some sort of skyscraper, so that it blends with the city ;)
Think about it, and keep up the great work! ;)
What a mess! The new hospital looks great.
I love it
Love the hospital! This is the first time I'm leaving a comment but I've been watching and subscribed for a long time. A few thoughts...I think a blue H would look better than a black H? Love the ambulance pull through but if you get enough parts maybe make the lobby area and pull through 3 floors? LOL at the mess!
You are cool 😎
Why cant you just tell me what happen to 2013 kings castle moc but please just tell me what happen to it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.
The hospital looks great. When you are looking towards the skyscraper block, the imagination building ( sorry forgot what you call it) looks a little too narrow. I don’t know if you can make the building a little wider, but I think that might look better. I just don’t know if there is enough space on a 32x32 plate to do that. It doesn’t look bad just a little narrow. Just a thought.
Either way it might be a good building for a kids interactive science/learning center. It looks fun!
In some major cities in the US they have them. Dallas…Perot museum, Philadelphia…Franklin Institute, Baltimore…Maryland Science Center, Boston…Museum of Science, Washington DC…Smithsonian National Museum. I’m sure you have similar places in Canada. Anyway it seems like a great building for that.
This is just a suggestion not criticism of your work.
Thanks for reminding me Legos are fun!
5:48 is that a blue brick separator?
How many Hospitals that you know of is exactly next door to a gas station???
I did mention that the whole block has to be re-arranged.
@@Bricksie I'm just letting you know what the Lego Fire Inspector would say to you....
The hospital my children were born in is directly opposite a petrol station ⛽️
@@kirstymorley1665 in the USA??
Epiccccccccc
Stay safe
Made the H white, it will look cleaner.
Are u gonna add the interior design?
Why don’t you turn the empty space beside the hospital into a recreational space for patients 🤔
