This is how I've started most of my bonsai trees. I'll find an orphan or some small forgotten tree at a nursery, about to be thrown out... and give it a new future!! I've gotten little trees and bushes that were almost dead... brought them back to life... and they've become my best friends.
People forget that any tree can be a great addition to the bonsai garden! I have a fuschia, and an azelea that were deep discounted and on the verge of the dumpster. Good on ya!
Gracias por compartir este video, me gustó mucho, soy un novato en esto y espero que pronto pueda hacer mis propios bonsáis como el que muestra aquí. Nuevamente Gracias
i have two of them growing in my yard (each about 6ft in height), and they're pretty easy to start from seed once the black berries get nice and beeg. (though Robins and Starlings like to eat them) but i have a few seedlings im looking forward to trying to refine as they grow this coming spring
Ideally, you split up your work over time. So repot in early spring, and then perhaps prune in fall (and if its fall right now, you could prune now and repot in the next early spring for example).
I bought two trees (olea europea and picea glauca conica) that I'm going to transform into bonsai. So what you're saying is that I shouldn't repot and cut them at the same time? I thought that I could repot them now in late February and also do the pruning
If you do a mild repotting (not touching the roots too much) you can do that - but if you want to be on the safe side (especially if you do not have much experience styling bonsai) you best split up your work. Repot in early spring, prune in fall, for example.
Saludos.
Nice video fella Would I be able to put a Japanese black pine straight on to a rock. It’s a one year old sapling I have 2. And just let it grow in place ?
Yes, why not? Just make sure the plant is strong before you do this, and do not harm the roots too much in the process. And... wait until early spring!

@@bonsaiempire today i buy the plant i will start pruning and style it, can u tell me how much should i leave the wire?
It depends on how fast your tree grows :) Remove it before it starts to bite into the wood
@@bonsaiempire thank u so much, this was very helpful!
Awesome vid
Nice video to get into bonsai. Where is this beautifull garden we see in the background?

Thank you for the video. What time of year is best to do the pruning like this for this type of tree?
Early spring is optimal.
Nice sharing videos 👏👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Really nice:) How to find the follow ups to this video?
The followup is in the making :) We are tracking the tree and will do an update when there is enough change to show :)
Sounds like it's doing well:) Looking forward to see the update
