Thanks for this! If anyone is like me, I noticed this problem after my car was sat around a lot after COVID lockdown. So I sprayed my heater motor with WD-40 and reconnected it, and it started spinning again! the only issue now, is that my interior smells like WD-40, but i quite like that smell anyway :) saved money on air fresheners too.

Thanks for the video. I replaced the blower motor in my 2012 A3 TDI. It took me all of 15 minutes following these instructions.
Brilliant - 2015 a3 Quattro came apart exactly as easy as shown here. Thank you for this. Intermittent fan blowing during -20 C was a problem easily fixed without emergency shop time. Thank you !!!
Hey thanks for this! I'm not mechanically inclined but with your help I fixed the blower problem. In my case the fan was just "frozen" and just needed a good spin with some oil. If it happens again I'll replace it. Thanks again!
Thanks for the vid. You saved me $$$. I didn't have to buy a new one. I took it out the old one, took two screws of the fan; pulled the coil, stator out and cleaned it with Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner. Let it dry for a minute or two, that stuff dries up pretty fast; connected it back and it blows faster than before. Thanks!
Thank you for your comment!
it's about to save me some money tomorrow. thanks.
Helped alot! Thanks to your video I was able to clean my blower on my own and save some bucks in the mechanics shop.
Your video saved me $200. I just had to take it out and rotate it a few times for it to work. Thanks a bunch.
Had the same problem, ordered a second hand ‘blower fan’ from eBay like you said and it worked great. thank you so much you’ve Just saved me hundreds of pounds by doing it myself. Awesome!!! 👍
Thanks for this, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The motor just needed a little convincing and lubrication to run again, no need to replace it yet!
DUDE. You made it seem so easy. I was about to pay someone to do it, but it's like, 6 bolts and you just switch them out. Thanks for this one!
This worked for me . Thanks for the vid , very helpful
Dude, this video was awesome! It was the first video that popped up and help me tons. Because of you sir, I solved this problem. Thanks!
Just fixed mine using the brilliant video!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you, I checked all the fuses and relays, all good. Now let's try this. I think that is it. Thank you!😊
Great video! I'm no mechanic and I found it fairly straight forward.
Much appreciated thank you, I'll give that a look as the motor in mine MAKES A RACKET.
Amazing, touch of oil did the trick
Thank you
Thanks so much, mine just need a blow with compressor and it works beautifully 👌🏼
Wow, this has to be the easiest blower motor change i’ve ever seen. Much easier then removing the heater box from under the hood and from inside the car under the dash on an old 91 audi 200 turbo lol. Audi’s engineers must’ve gotten told not to play practical jokes on the public anymore haha.
Thanks for the video! It was a super easy repair thanks to you

repairED whats the noise the vents making @4:02 once it starts working??
Hello friend. Can you list all the tools needed. Like what kind of screws. Iam gonna replace it myself. Thanks
Great video, btw do you know where the cabin air intake is? where fresh air comes in? I can' find it near the windscreen after open the hood.
Thanks mate all sorted now 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank You This really helped!
Thanks!!! You helped me.
Thanks for the video!!
Was that a used blower you put in? That squeaking at 4:00 - that is the noise that is currently driving me crazy. I'm trying to find out how to fix that.
Yep I think It was used one from ebay. try to take your out and lube it with some motor oil or something.
Could you fix it? Or you had buy a New one?
I'm having the same issue, it's driving me nuts! What happened? Did you fix it?
Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Thank you sir!
I’ve done this but mine is vibrating like mad, is it supposed to do that
Thanks man!
Thank you
Same for A3 2013 8v?
How did you know that was the issue and not the resistor?
Awesome 😎
Thanks
would this be similar for 2003 a3?
+john connolly yeah should be
So is fan under steering wheel on uk car?
Idk wtf you guys are talking bout but I have 3 6mm bolts holding the blower motor in, one of which is tucked behind the carpeting and sound deadening. It’s ridiculous
I did it and it only worked for a few minutes. what's next ?
what about on audi a3 (1998) where i can find it?
Should be behind the glove box
I have another problem. When AC is On,The fan indicator in climate control are gone. The Fan level cannot be adjust. The only way to fix it is shut off engine & start again. AC is normal again..for about 15-30 minute, before the fan gone again. Anyone have this kind of problem ??
Yes for sure "cursing" does help.
The secret is not the the blower motor I replaced it and it's still the same problem 🤦🏾♂️ it comes on and off whenever it wants 🤷🏾♂️.... As we speak it turned on finally after an hour-and-a-half freezing to death😂
My fan is good but still not blowing -_-
You are a champion, thanks for this video, su save me 1k bucks!!
$35 dollars for a fan or less than $5 for a new set of brushes that take about 10 mins to desolder and resolder back in.
also sometimes the fan is still fine, the a/c blower motor resistor pack is faulty/fails
+Austin Green true, but to tell you honestly I have never soldered anything, so replacing parts is my only option, but thank you for your comment
No problem, just a heads up for those like myself that have the neccesary eqiupment and soldering skills.
which brushes, link ?
