CJ Pony Parts I bought American thunder kit I would like to know how much noise will increase with the resonator delete Or which system do you recommend That doesn’t increase a lot more the exhaust note Thanks
I have a '15 and I put the outlaws on about a year ago and ended up getting the scavenger on in Feb to complement the exhaust. 7 months later, I ended up pulling the X-pipe out . The amount of vibration and drone throughout the cabin was just unbearable. Plus, I drive between MA and NY quite frequently. Long trips were the worst, I was getting out of the car with tinnitus. I was always on edge late nights out towards the end of the month when its quota time. I felt like I was calling attention to myself. Don't get me wrong, when I dropped the top and pulled off a block or went through a tunnel or parking structure it was a blast. Downshifting/Rev Matching instead of honking was always great and startling passersby with remote start was hilarious! I was this close to installing my shorty headers, but I held off and ended up putting in a Borla resonator to round out the Flowmasters. Also, my Outlaws were just as rusted. I'm probably going to pull them out and go with Roush. TL;DR if you are looking at this, the sound clips and the videos don't do this thing justice. You can almost see the wincing in Bill's face . It's pretty unpleasant. My opinion is shop around.
Alright i bought this and have it on the car now (the axle back and xpipe)...its not that loud unless you really get on it....but it sounds absolutely amazing. 10/10
The misconception of too loud unfortunately has to do with the tone rather than volume. Yes, it can have a 95dB idle and be 128dB at WOT. But if it sounds like nails on a chalk board, no amount of effort will that sound any better. If you're going for quantity over quality, aim for the loud dB ratings, just be ready to be off the road with a cop for noise violation tickets.
I'll be the party pooper and say this catback actually sounded better WITH the stock resonator. It had a good clean deep sound before this raspy x pipe.
I guess you can consider me to be too old lol I just prefer something with a deep tone. I grew up around not so loud old muscle cars my whole life and always loved the sound of them
@@humrajsingh1546 I dont have a video. Its loud like this system but the overall tone is little lower. There is some drone from 1500-2100 rpm. The louder the system, the more drone tha exists.
Very nice my 98 gt has offroad x pipe and slp 1 with custome weld in tail pipes the only think i need is to get is shorty headers and im done with the exhaust
I think that’s the first time I’ve heard you say Holy S*** on camera on an exhaust system. But that’s just too much. If it were a weekend toy for me then I wouldn’t think twice. I have the active system for my 21 GT Premium so I’d have to find a video with that combo or an ABE with that installed to hear it.
I had Flowmaster 40's with headers and a MAC pro chamber mid pipe in my 4.6..... I have hearing loss in my ear just a little. Definitely watch out for drone guys. I love the low deep tone and I get that people are going to the louder Corsa style but this just sounds awesome! How would it sound with the Outlaw Active Exhaust?
Would I be able to install the flowmaster outlaws on my 2018 mustang gt with the active exhaust? I honestly don’t care for the active exhaust feature I was just wanting to know if I would run into any problems?
Hi I have the SVE Exhaust its pretty deep , I mean a very nice deep tone. I have the stock H Pipe with Resonator Deletes. i want to throw on the flowmaster Scavanger XPipe, would it still keep its deep tone a bit still or will it just become all around raspy screaming like a banshee??
CJ Pony Parts lower pitched then a system using an H pipe? I would’ve never figured that. Now I don’t know which one to get because I love H pipes but you said this is lower pitched lol 😵😭
ClayManLX I had the MBRP on my car for awhile and liked the tone, it just got a little too loud for me. I couldn't deal with the Flowmaster, way too loud for me.
I recently ordered my 22 GT as well bout a month ago just waiting for it to be built ( no active exhaust) but this the setup I’m going with it’s deep and loud!!
I had asked about that and Bill said the axle back kit was sitting out behind the shop for a few months while they were trying different axle back kits.
I should have mentioned in the video that the axle back had been sitting outside behind our studio for a few months while we tried different exhausts. That axle back was a proto type we installed back in February but the video didn't go live until a couple weeks ago.
IMO, Flowmasters never sounded good to me rear-mounted. Even on the s197 Mustangs when they moved the mufflers to the rear, that's when they just stopped sounding good.
It's hard to make a comparison unless you have an old style motor with headers no cats and good smooth turbo movers like Borla Xs Pro or maybe a Dynamax Ultra flow. All these new cars sound like shit to me. Back in my day we laughed at cars that popped. That was like a Cowboys truck loud and slow. When I'm on the street I want to hear an engine I want my Mufflers to be smooth. At the racetrack I'll uncap those headers that's music. But all these new Mustangs sound like pure shit to me blah blah blah pop pop crackle crackle crackle LOL. I must be old
Sounds really cheap. I would like to see a video with a resonator delete leaving the factory mufflers on. It should sound like stock but quite a bit louder. More controlled and expensive sounding.
I just installed these with an x-pipe. The video does not do it justice. They are very loud but definitely not cheap sounding. I did have the factory exhaust with the x-pipe and it sounds great as well. Just not attention grabbing like this set up is. My 2cents.😬😬

I see you guys removed the background music thanks.
We are giving it a shot:)
@@cjponyparts it is much appreciated
I like the outlows over extreme. Its a deeper noise. Plus i love the drone
I love how the Closed Caption says {Music} during the exhaust clip lol
Hahaha

best growl I’ve heard come from a X pipe
Nice little Easter Egg @4:43
I thought a few viewers might like that :)
Would you say this is the best x-pipe exhaust? Will it pass inspection? You provide the best content! Thank You
I have the flow master, x-pipe, on my V6 mustang with the stock mufflers. I recommend it. And it saves wait.

I'll be the party pooper and say this catback actually sounded better WITH the stock resonator. It had a good clean deep sound before this raspy x pipe.
You're not a party pooper for liking quality of sound. You're just not into comprise.
Lol, its basically straight piped. Fun on the track, I don't think I'd want to drive it to work like that every day.
0:28 I love those Shelby wheels, too bad they're so heavy. 😞
I have these on my car with offroad headers and it's the loudest thing on the road lol
I guess you can consider me to be too old lol I just prefer something with a deep tone. I grew up around not so loud old muscle cars my whole life and always loved the sound of them
I have the outlaw axleback and a roush H pipe, and its 10/10 when i stomp on it
Do u have a video that we can see? Also, hwz the drone on your system

Have this set up for my 2019. Getting long tube headers this upcoming week. Wonder how much louder it will be.
Do u have a video u mind sharing with the long tube headers on?
Pulled over in 3...2...1...

I came when I heard that second start up! They should give you a pair of underwear with purchase of the outlaw axel back!
Thanks Bill it sounds great! Will the outlaw mufflers work with an H pipe that's welded into the stock system? Or will I need adapters?
Just like any other axle back you have to cut the stock pipes, we have a video on the Outlaw axle back.
I have the same tool box, but just with a hutch and not an upper tool box.
I had Flowmaster 40's with headers and a MAC pro chamber mid pipe in my 4.6..... I have hearing loss in my ear just a little. Definitely watch out for drone guys. I like the wheels! What size wheel/tires are they?👍
what watch is that my friend?
Swatch
sounds nice, try to imagine how it will scream with long tube headers :-)
It will be painful lol
CJ Pony Parts painful = awesome when it comes to exhausts.
Maybe it should be build to get clear
6ixSpeedStang18 If that's what you like then go for it! :)
I would do, but i am in Germany at Home. I would get sorrounded by cops even when i think of starting the Engine 🤨
What kind of valance and diffuser that has???
I installed the flowmaster axel back exhaust but I feel like my mustang isn’t picking up like it used to, is that normal ????
Do you have an XPipe installed?
Would I be able to install the flowmaster outlaws on my 2018 mustang gt with the active exhaust? I honestly don’t care for the active exhaust feature I was just wanting to know if I would run into any problems?
Frosty . . . F****** Cool .
Haha thank you
any drone with this setup?
That shit sound good to me
This sounds identical to mine but I have x pipe and no mufflers...literally exactly the same
Hi I have the SVE Exhaust its pretty deep ,
I mean a very nice deep tone. I have the stock H Pipe with Resonator Deletes. i want to throw on the flowmaster Scavanger XPipe, would it still keep its deep tone a bit still or will it just become all around raspy screaming like a banshee??
🤤 So this will fit the 2020 mustang gt premium with active exhaust?
Yes the active is the same system until the mufflers.
4:00 You take a mortal man…
How much louder is this compared to the MBRP Pro Race Series exhaust???
Its is a little lower pitched than the MBRP. While the MBRP sort of screams this is more of a roar if that makes sense.
CJ Pony Parts personally i like the tone of the MBRP Better myself. Thank you for your insight!
Hi can this system or axle back version fit a mustang 2016 gt if have Roush valance? Please let us know thank you
Will this work with a borla atak cat back 2.25 on a v6 mustang 3.7L??
What are the wheels on that car!!!!
Perfect!
What determines the amount of drone you get? is it the x pipe or the muffler?
Usually the style of the muffler.
Does it still have active exhaust?
Any added HP?
I’m looking to get a deep rumble like the classic muscle cars, H pipe or X pipe? Also paired with which axle back?
h
Is there any/some drone with this set up?
The Flowmasters have a deeper tone which will give you some drone on the highway.
Increased hp and torque?
We never dynode it but most resonator deletes are worth about 5 hp tops. It's more for the sound.
@@cjponyparts just found out today it will cost me $428 which covers the part and labor. Not sure if it's worth that much money
Louder than corsa?
Different tone but I would say yes.
I recently ordered a 22' GT with the active exhaust. Will this still work with the active exhaust Outlaw axle back?
Not this kit but they do sell the active axleback and active catback
@@The_Garnetts Yeah. I looked into it, and from what I understand, it's still inhumanly loud in "quiet" mode 😂
@@DrBeef216 lol yeah its pretty insane for what you get. . There is no louder cat or axleback than these things

@@DrBeef216 not at all. i have one on my 22 gt with active. in quiet its near silent.

No worries. Just a shame all after market exhausts aren't made out of stainless steel.

Loud is fine for the race track, being that loud everyday is oveboard. I much rather have that deep throaty sound of a muscle car.
You like muscles deep in your throat?
@@wesleykleveter5487 Nope, but your mom does.
How would that setup compare to the Corsa Extreme?

if loud is your thing. But there is absolutely no tone. Rather have a v6 with Roush + x-pipe than this mess.
