- Out and About in The City of London in The Fenchurch Street Area and we take a look at AIG and The Garden at 120 and at both places the Security are clueless, don't know the Law and think you are not allowed to Film in Public.
The entire SIA needs a complete overall because the UK has a plethora of incompetent Security Guards who do not know the Law or follow Licensing Conditions.
Thanks for watching and I hope you like the video.

whoever employs these dumb ass security guards should be sacked.
when are the SIA people going to teach these people the law
they've been getting away with this for far to long
@@johnthreadgold7846 they never will, they get paid for each one they get “passed”
None ofrhem have enough brains to understand the simplest instructions.
Whoever they are paying they have been ripped off. This should be SIA training 101. Anyone caught giving false information by security guards should be compulsorily retrained.
@martynanstis1620
You mean the security guards need retraining.
I never understand why they build glass walls and then are upset when people see what is inside🤷
their jurisdiction ends as soon as they step outside the building
The control room says....... hahahaha
Why is it that the majority of security are from a foreign country and don't understand our rights 😮😢
Its part of the Great replacement
Cheap labour with virtually no training.
Because it's a shit thankless job that no-one else wants to do.
It is about time that SIA was investigated, for not training operatives correctly before allowing them to perform their duties.
all about money and profit
The SIA don't train anyone, approved contractors do.
The SIA don't do training themselves.
Potential "terrorist" leaves backpack outside security exit door.
Gets 'security' checked.
Gathers backpack on way out & goes to restaurant.
The ignorance of these security is unbelievable. The SIA. Are clearly just passing them. Because they should be aware of the laws. Ok they can’t know every law. But they should know the laws relevant to them
Unbelievable that security had no idea on the laws and they need educated
@@stevemasterton1577 What laws?
How did we manage before all these foreign 'experts' arrived? This must be SIA training?
Although the SIA law / code-of-conduct on display of licences says " _It is a condition of your licenced status that you wear the licence where the front can be seen at all times when engaging in designated licensable activity unless you have reported it lost or stolen, or it is in our possession_ ".
It ALSO says ;
" _The only people to whom you are required to show your badge or provide details of your full name when asked are: The Police, SIA officers and Those to whom the SIA has given authority under Section 19 of the Private Security Industry Act (typically, these will be licensing officers from local councils). Although members of the public have the right to request that you show them your licence, you are not obliged to show it to anyone other than those listed above_ ".
To that end, If I had to display one of those pieces of blue cardboard, i would ( especially in the presence of cameras ) have the blue card in a pouch where my Name and SIA Number were frosted or in some other way obscured because of the RIDICULOUS contradiction whereby unauthorised people who have NO RIGHT to see or record and/or publish/dox your personal details can potentially do JUST THAT because of the contrary requirement to have it " On Display ".
It says the badge has to be " On Display " but it does NOT say the personal details have to be legible so that any old Tom, Dick or Harry can read them or take pics/video of them when they have NO RIGHT to see them or take pics/video of them !
All of which makes it very awkward because if an SIA holder does something criminal or civilly actionable, how are you supposed to know who to report or sue ! I think the licence numbers should be like police collar/shoulder numbers for such identification purposes.
She probably came top of her SIA training class.
She came while on top of her SIA class???
@@ianpennington5856 Very probably that as well, yes 🙂
Well lit reception areas with huge windows. The irony is lost on them.
That's called willful ignorance.
Ask if you are allowed to smoke inside the building, when they say no ask if you are allowed to smoke outside, when they say yes … ask them what’s different about a camera
Good Shout
It would be easier to ask them to point out boundary between private property and public right of way.
Are all security jobs out sourced, just like the call centres?😊
It's plain to see that the Sia training methods are clearly behind the times
Or ahead
"Can I help you ?", "Yes by not asking me any more questions!"
Your so good at this dont stop
Cheers
You have to hold them to answer "what help are you offering" longer. You let that one go.
Good & as ever 'valid commentary' from you Scorpion.😊
Thank you kindly
My@@scorpionauditsMy pleasure. & thanks also!
Not allowed 🚫 😂 another clueless security guard. But tbh its their bosses who need to learn what's lawful
Brilliant video. keep em coming mate.
100%
IF ONLY WE KNEW WHY SECURITY GUARDS ARE TOLD THAT FILMING FROM PUBLIC INTO PRIVATE PROPERTY WAS "NOT ALLOWED". WHEN QUESTIONED THE GUARDS HAVE NO LEGAL EXPLANATION. BECAUSE IT IS NOT ILEGAL MY FRIEND.
THESE are simple folk who wrongly think you can not record into private property from the public. There are things called blinds and curtains.
We I still go with the fact that they dont actualy understrand the difference between filming inside and filming into !
There's next zero about photography laws in the SIA sanctioned training. We're not told it's not allowed or allowed that's the issue. I've worked in places where this has happened the management have said tell them to stop and to go away despite informing them There's nothing I can do they told me to just do it or they'll hire someone who will. I spoke to the photographer and relayed his response to the manager.. he said to f*** yourself. That was my last day there.
To be fair… auditors get away with it.. a lot. And it’s not entirely true when they say you can film “anything”. If you are filming through a doorway or window and zooming in on something or a place, that could reasonably be considered to be private, you’re breaching privacy laws. However, filming something/someone just the other side of a window from a public street might not be. It is also relevant where you’re stood when filming. Even if it’s just a few inches off a public path, and onto private land with “permissive access” (such as the areas under the support columns in this vid) it can change the legalities.
good grief, its catweazle
Fenchurch street, gives gives gives, well done you
Grand Elf rocking up LOL
Love to always see how clueless security are what is this country coming to we need help quickly lol
Tremendous BigWindows4Justice xx
Well done ❤
Someone should put together an NCALT training film on public photography, that way every police officer, Special Constable, Police support officer or even SIA licensed security guard would be forced to read up on it and be tested on it before being signed off on it
just renewed my sia licence for the 5th time .courses are getting better .and sia now getting to grips on giving licences out like confetti. to many poor operatives comeing in to the industry. you now have to sit a english test .i personally have had gaurds who couldn't speak English.???
@@stevengardner81 ironic, as you can’t write in English.
He says don't film my collogues, on the walls are signs for cctv, take it the dont film workers then.
If you own the property you have the right to install cameras. If you’re a guest on the property you don’t have a right to film just because “they can”.
Pal you should have been on x factor with that voice 🎶😊👍😁 great video as always
I wish!
The two blokes with the pram 😂😂
I see Roy Wood has let himself go after leaving Wizard! Now found a job as a pathetic security man. What a comedown!
LOL, Good ol' Roy, He's a Wizard you know !!! He'll be 78 years old now ... 🎼🎶Ohhh I wish it could be Christmas, every dayyyy e-ayyyyy 🎶
Why would anyone consent to be searched to go into a restaurant?
Rather go and find a “greasy spoon” at least its proper food
I know
so many security guards around that basically do nothing all day and get paid I'm in the wrong job

Silly sausages 😂😂😂😂
😂" Wot makes you fink"??
Don’t take pictures of my colleagues and we are going to watch you on camera 😑😑😑😑
When santa came out, you should have told him what you wanted for christmas
Why is it so hard to understand why it’s not illegal to film in a public place , and why do these privately employed security officers think they have any rights over people in public places , also why do they think the can’t make laws up that don’t exist.
Nice to see Uncle Albert making a cameo appearance in this video.
I know, right?
Jeeze mate, it’s so depressing to see what has become of the mother country. Unfortunately, here in Oz, we are following down the same insane garden path.
Oh the stupidity. You are the immigrant in Oz, if this is your mother country😂😂😂
@@massynu183 I am a born and bred Queenslander you twit. Make your assumptions moron. Oh the stupidity of someone using broken English to insult a native speaker. Wally.
Merlin has a new job trying to make cameras disappear
hi , watched a few of your videos now and i am wondering , as there are so many security me/woman that do not display their licence have you ever done an audit on SIA themselves ?? enjoying your videos by the way .
I'll to find their office, I believe they are apart of the home office
That garden is basically a free alternative to the London Eye, but they do recommend getting your free ticket online as they do limited the number of people up there.
The question is... how funny this is in the long run..???
There’s a cctv sticker on the pillar right behind her…….
Content content content.security the gift that keeps giving.
How stupid are these security staff, that don't know the laws on photography - its part of their job to know these things ffs🤦♂️
It's a wonder that so called security gaurd didn't say
During the warrr.

Parliament gives you permission.
Thats suits far to big for her 😂
Lol
The lady was sweet but dim--the bearded guy was weird and best avoided!! Not suitable for running a Whelk Stall!!
Cops and security not brainy enough to have a real job.
No need to have permision to film an office inside or outside facing from puplic space.
Hi...I'm new to these "audit" videos. Can I ask what is their purpose, is it for awareness, education or something else? Cheers
All of the above. read my bio, gives you more info
They employed a Viking
1:35 "NOT ALLOWED"😂
Easy picking for all, they should not be in the industry or care bully's that's all they know attitude 😮

The law also states that the outside of a building is in the public domain and can be photographed, it's not my responsibility if the building is designed with transparent walls !
@@mikeel6074 It's actually covered by a nymber of different laws including the copyright, designs and patent act. Section 62 copyright, designs and patent act 1988.
Unfortunately my PC crashed a month or so ago and wiped the drive, so I lost all my 'Legal' stuff...and around 40-50 thousand photos :-/
Nice and polite, but clueless
Father Christmas though he was god
NOT ALLOWED 👍
I was wondering about the dress code for these security individual's have they ever thought about the implications of what would happen if they came face to face with an aggressive member of the public, that beard would be the first thing that would be grabbed and he would be done.
Was you being unlawfully detained whilst waiting the old bill?
There "Rules" literally state no recording of the security process while in the room. So there not even trying to enforce a rule what a bunch of dumb people
I wonder if that restaurant charge extra to cover the costs of their paranoia regarding their clientele.
Yet again someone who doesent understand the difference between filming inside and filming into !
