I only discovered jim venetos swing in September n it's saved my winter golf, because of weather variables in ireland, Jim's swing is more consistent! Ben hogan also turned his elbows to his ribcage, similar to Moes. I'm convinced u have found de holy grail with Jim n Moes swing!!
Great video John, my athletic past is like yours but I have been doung it 20 years longer, hence more joint aches. I had tried Jims swing but It felt too restrictive for my body. Yours look more doable for guys like us. Thanks for the incites Joel Waldman
Man, I've tried both the Mo and the JV swing and gave up. But I'll give this a try. How about taking it to the course and testing over 18 holes - with video. It's always good to see the numbers. You must be in Oz with those safety shoes.
I use part of Jim's method, I stand closer to the ball and a little more open.My swing path is a little more descending but my weight is on my front side which is the key to the swing, and being still of course. My swing is much more relaxed with good ball first contact.
I have a friend who self learn golf at mid-age and he naturally developed exactly the same golf swing. He scores most around 90, not bad at all. This swing will require very minimal practice since there is literally no early extension issue and the swing will always be inside out, it is very unlikely to slice the ball unless club face is super open. To get a decent distance, you really have to whip it with the left arm. I always have hard time to tell which direction my friend gonna to hit...but other than that, it is easy to swing :)
Great video John. I’ve joined Jim’s academy and have been using it for a few months with limited success. You’re crushing the ball on every shot, which I hope I can build to. I’ve had zero success with driver with Jim’s swing. How do you do with driver? Can you post a video of that? Jim’s swing gets harder with the longer clubs for me. Interested to know how you handle it.
Yep a draw . How much depends on how closed my stance is and how I grip it .When I get a chance I will make a video on those two points . Play around with it .
My Apologies to Jim Venetos for saying his name wrong . Doh ! I made this video just testing out the mic but thought it captured the simplicity of the swing . Check out his video here and get all the mans wisdsom . ua-cam.com/video/eeJl0Ev2zAA/v-deo.html
i've been trying this for the last 2 weeks, i hit the irons more consistently but they run like a scolded cat, could be ball position etc. Driver had to go back to Single Plain, as i was drawing too much or blocking. Where as S/P is very straight but not as far as your hybrid swing. i mentioned in the other video about doing a on course video but if your at Sunny coast the courses are packed, unless u are at the course at 5am.
I do this same thing but ,I set club head at least 8 inches behind the ball and keep closed all the way thru impact. I'm 79 and every thing hurt on this old body .Great results now need to get the putter working again .
Sorry dude but I am 72 and weigh 170 lbs. With a conventional swing I hit it 280 yds.u are in your fifties and look to be around 50 pounds heavier than me and are bragging about hitting it 300.that is just not real impressive
C'mon Matt, don't be a dick about it. Nobody cares how far you can hit it, your age or how much you weigh. this is what works for this guy. Just enjoy the game
Ive been trying the JV swing for 2 years and i recently learned that if my right foot is forward of my left and then I pivot, im able to get through the ball much better and easier. I have always struggled with fat and thin and now with this move I stay much more still and my right side cant move at all until I release the club. The #1 most important position in golf is IMPACT. Until you setup your body to accomplish the moment of impact without any movement whatsoever you will never understand the full power and torque of the JV swing. I spent 3 months researching every picture and slowmo video of Woods Hogan Nelson Norman Nichlaus and Trevino. And every single one of them all have the exact same posture at the Moment Of Impact. So why not just set up this way and dont move.
I've been working on Jim's method as of late. It has really helped correct that outside to inside swing path.
it's crazy. I was think about merging the two. thanks for showing me what it would look and feel like.
Have taught this exact application for years ! He is exactly correct !

Holy crap. Thanks big guy
I find your 'combi' swing very interesting. Can you please tell me where you position the ball. Thanks.
'
I like this because it is good for these people
I’m working on a Venetos swing but will have to try this

This swing works great!

Because it only goes 100 yards!
@@kendallowens8566Take a look at his other video - no way those shots would go only 100 yards at the driving range or on the course
Enjoyed your clip. R u still using the swing you featured
Can you shows us more on the feet placement

I like it only thing is what about chips and pitching?.
How has this hybrid swing working for you on the golf course? Has it dropped your scores? It makes good sense to me.
Is you club face aimed at target?
Do you use larger grips?
Hi I’m also seen Jim’s and moves swings my question is do you use you left hand and arm in the swing
Appears the shots are low & hooking. Is this right?
Very cool. Start line of the ball looks great as does contact... How is the ball flight? Look like it would produce draws.

@@worldseasiestgolfswing7109 The main thing is-ALL your strikes are dead center into the net!! I must give this a try, thank you.
How far can you buy your driver with this swing?
Is there a tendency to pull or hook the ball to the left with this modified swing?
Thanks for the video, it's an interesting combination of the two golf swings.
Those are pull hooks because your weight is back. Skip Mo Norman, & just focus on the Jim Venetos program.
You pulled one shot
Are you not coming over the top with that motion, not criticizing just see what I see.
Thanks for this tip.Perfect if you had a heart attach and on beta blockers and other drugs. The drugs side effects are balance issues. This helps,Art

Simple
I like it!
Could you film a face on video?
I’m curious about ball position after you turn into you preset.
Keep on striping it!

This is much like @papagolf9774 swing
your transferring your weight and coming over the top to get it started on line. that's not jim's swing
What ever it is it works really well .

This swing by far is way more accurate.
i don't care what he weighs 300 is impressive...

I call BS. Nobody 72 yrs old starts a sentence with "dude " , or hits it 280.
Please do another video from face on so I can see how your hands and arms are at address. Do you lean the shaft to your left thigh?
