Not only is Patience a ballad it's also one of the best power ballads from the 80's metal scene another one that shocked me is Hold On 2 My Heart from W.A.S.P, I have a lot a favs from power ballad days these 2 just didn't get the attention they deserved.
A drowning cat sings better than me but my whistle was right up there on Axl level at one time. Sadly after about a dozen stop drop and flops (epilepsy) my insurance at the time refused to continue paying for new teeth I had broken 8 out in my most recent seizure and I said F it and had them all pulled. I never knew that teeth were actually required for whistling So now I can no longer sing or whistle with the great Axl Rose

Great reaction :) GnR are my fav. band of all time & I think the studio versions (or videos) are awesome, but during some concerts, Axl puts so much into that last part, which to me has so much more to it than in the album version. There are other GnR songs which also have an extra layer in them, during live performances :)
