In today's video, I discuss my new chemo medication Doxorubicin, also known as "Red Devil" or "Red Death". I also share some of my raw emotions and get a bit more personal. I believe that those of us living with a terminal illness need to express ourselves. We need to share our fears and allow ourselves to have those days where we can express our emotions, such as anger, fear, worry, etc. I don’t see it as being negative, rather, it helps us gather strength and fight even harder. It simply makes us human. Fighting cancer is not easy. It is not only physically draining, but it is also emotionally, spiritually, psychologically draining. Expressing yourself allows you to verbalize how you feel and keeps those negative vibes from building up.

God loves you so much. Listen to sermons online and really soak yourself in the Word. The Word will bring you closer to him even in your darkest moments.

I’ve been dealing with a ton of fear and anger myself lately and have had to constantly remind myself who is in control. I know it’s not easy, but you can rest in that. God is by your side, and you truly have nothing to fear.. ❤️
Even if circumstances don’t change, I would much rather go through the struggles of life with God by my side than to try and bear the weight of things alone.

I’m so sorry, I understand trying to balance quality of life verses quantity is tough! My friend did this chemo for her cancer and she is still here! Prayers are being said! I had stage 3 colon cancer and I have permanent neuropathy from oxaliplatin chemo. Its definitely a worthwhile trade off because I’m still here. It was a rough trip tho! God understands when we are human and get angry he still loves us.

Bless you Tammy, you are a beautiful warrior. I would make yummy thick fruity smoothies and freeze them into popsicle containers and suck on those not only for added nutrients and calories but also to numb the mouth sores. I’d also stay away from processed sugar because it’s sticky on our blood cells. I was born with a hole in my heart too! I had an Echocardiogram and it was amazing to watch how the fluid passed through (I did have a rash reaction from the dye tho, not noticeable by me but it was to others looking at me😂). You will enjoy the experience, it’s indescribable seeing/hearing your heart, and it changes you in a way💖 I don’t think you should worry sweetie, God has you and all of us in His hands, but you’re always in my prayers- I want your journey to be a long and successful one🙏🏼❤️🦋

I try to stay away from it but when I had lost my appetite for a while, they had me eating what I could because they didn’t want my weight going down so quickly! I am also type 1 diabetics so I try hard...but I have a soft spot for sour candies! Lol. 🤗

Im a new subscriber and have watched quite a few of your videos, trying to catch up with your journey.I’m sitting here watching and listening to you thinking omg, this wonderful human being with the beautiful face telling me how she’s doing and I cannot honestly imagine what you are going through. My heart is breaking for you. I know you don’t want sympathy or tears , but I tell you what hun, you are absolutely amazing. How you go through each day with your awful ongoing conditions and with no let up, I just can’t imagine how you feel deep down. Wow. Your feelings are SO totally normal. You're really handling this so amazingly well. No one blames you for being terrified. But I'm SO glad you are surrounded by GOOD family who loves you, and they are really lucky to have you in their lives. My very good friend lost her husband to mantle cell lymphoma in 2014 and it was a 2-year long battle. She said he was SO angry, and honestly who wouldn't blame him. But I would just surround yourself with good people, get out when you can. The bests things in life are really just right there in front of us. Practice gratitude. I tell myself that every day bc I also have anger issues with God. But God gave us this life - it's up to us to use the time that we have wisely. Prayers and blessings you have help and divine guidance to deal with these side effects to move on to happy living!

Hi Tammy, I had the Red Devil for breast cancer 8 yrs ago. It caused the same mouth sores, nausea , Pink Pee!! After 3 rounds I had docetaxel. The oncologists threw all they had at it. Never give up its half the fight, I lost my mum to stomach / oesophagus cancer in 2016, I cared for her 24/7. The scans missed a 12 inch tumor aswell as others. I knew a lady who lived past her a 'few months' by 2 years. 💗💗💗

Ps. I LOVE the wig!! It does look really cute. Ive had that mouth meds! It works.. called nystatin, but only works for after tou ra just e it, at least for me, lasted maybe 2 to three hrs, but you have to take it 4 times a day. It's banana flavored lol it's tolerable and it does help!
Is there not some bonjella which is a cream for mouth sores and teething in babies this can be bought in pharmacies and some supermarkets. I live in the UK. I am sure that your doctor should be able to give you something stronger to help ease the pain. My heart is breaking for you, I know what you are going through I have lost loved ones myself. I am and will keep praying for you.
pecan baby 3107 I am getting a special mouthwash that freezes and numbs the mouth as well as an ointment. We have gels for canker sores etc and I use that. But it doesn’t last long! The sores are starting to feel a bit better today! So I am so hopeful! Hugs to you 🤗

Omgosh! Right there with you about getting to go to the dollar store! So happy for you. I haven't been out except for Dr or hospital visits for over a year! never have time to go on a "just for fun" shopping spree. We talk about it, though LOL so happy for you! Glad the nausea isnt bad. Tammy your fears are totally normal and I cannot imagine how scared you must be. I will definitely pray for you through your battle with this evil disease. I know this must sound cliché but please stay positive and fight, fight like you've never fought before. I also feel your anger towards doctors who treat their patients as a whole instead of individuals. They assume and give false assumptions without listening to their patients symptoms and fears. Who can possibly know their body than the person themselves. Many cancers have been overlooked and labeled as the flu, arthritis, anxiety etc. Doctors Must listen to their patients symptoms and don't speculate what it can possibly be without intense testing to rule cancer, especially in this damn age where cancer is the #1 rapidly growing disease known to man. Maybe if many country would concentrate on giving more of our tax dollars to finding cures or even better treatments for the various different cancers out there, instead created weapons to show off and compare who has the most powerful tanks, the biggest worships, the most dangerous missles and bombs, which by the way is can be a major factor to causing certain. may actually have a cure for many cancers today. Instead our leaders take our tax dollar to mass produce these people killing weapons. As you can tell I am enrage that people as yourself and so many are children, are dying due to lack of funds for research. I so sorry for dragging on hun but I'm enraged that a nice lady such as yourself who as yet has so much to give and to in this world should have to instead fight to keep herself alive with these very dangerous drugs. But yet let's ban the dangerous cannibis (which by the way has be proven to help Manny patients with all sorts of conditions ) so people don't get "HURT" please really! I lost my trust in God after watching my husband suffer and die in 2016. Working to get it back, but it’s a struggle. As we get closer to the core nitty gritty of life we are deepened and refined by suffering; perhaps you’ve been “chosen” to fast-track your spiritual growth by going through this crucible. Maybe the outcome doesn’t matter as much as the journey. I don’t know. You are in my prayers.
Christine Cortese I totally understand what you are saying! It is hard to trust God after we have been through something so painful. I was hurt because I couldn’t understand why God would let me get two cancers after fighting so hard. And I certainly couldn’t understand how he could let me get terminal cancer. But then I realized that unfortunately death is part of life and because I believe in God and Jesus even though I may die physically, he is healing me spiritually. I am sending you 🤗. I am taking it day by day and letting God strengthen me on a daily basis. I am sorry you went through such a tough time but God is there. He never leaves us alone.

Did you know that another reason why it is called "The Red Devil" is because it makes you pee red!!! It really does. LOL! So just make sure you drink lots of water to flush it out as much as possible. Also, I totally understand the pain you are in! I had ACT/ Doxorubicin and Cyclophosphamide and Taxol when I had Breast Cancer in 2010. I also had to have my heart checked and throughout the treatment due to a heart attack in college because of anorexia. But I made it through that treatment. I will keep you in my prayers through the heart tests. Plus, you mentioned mouth sores. My onco just perscibed me Magic Mouthwash for it. It makes eating a bit easier. Its crazy how much we have in common. I also have had many blood clots too. And have to be on blood thinners for it. And I also have nerophothy in my extremities. Sometimes even in my but cheeks. I know that is weird, and maybe a bit TMI. But its cancer! Another thing we seem to be alike is our questions and emotions with God. I do know that God is with me. And I know he is with you. And yes, it is ok to be angry with God. I deal with that too. I have always had a very strong relationship with God. And I thought (and still do sometimes) wonder what I am being punished for. I always say, "God, haven't I been punished enough?" I am trying to give this to God. Totally!! And I will Pray for you too.

I can tell you from experience ( I went to school to be a PA in oncology) the Chemo you are on has had very promising results in serious shrinkage ( of course every one is different) but I have seen very good results, also my Father was on this chemo, and he has said the disgusting side effects are well worth it.
God doesn't give us cancer our toxic planet, food, and environment does. It gets us all eventually. God is carrying you through this and you are smart to turn to Him for help. God loves us and wants us to be happy not to suffer. I hope you get lots more time to spend with your family. That is a good prayer and I'll wish it for you nightly.

Sister I had breast cancer and the radiation left my heart jacked up. For some strange reason I have liver cirrhosis ( nvr touched a drink) . It seems my health has continued to decline to the point I am tired of fighting. As a believer you know the 2corithians 5 :8.
Also Jeremiah 29:11 my plans for you are good not for harm . I hear u i feel the radiation killed me . It is ok not to like you are going through . Hang in there meditate on Gods word he will never leave not forsake you . Please try to find that song on you tube listen to her say why she wrote it . Prayers for you . On Red Devil plenty have done it go for it . I WILL NEVER SAY I LOST A BATTLE GOD IS THE AUTHOR OF MY LIFE IF I DIE HE TOOK ME HOME BECAUSE MY WORK HERE WAS DONE . So I finished my race . 😘

Serina T thank you so much for the support! Ya, I was so embarrassed at first when I started losing them. But I have sort of gotten used to it. I am hoping to get dentures one day soon! But because I am on blood thinners, I can’t have any major dental work done right now! One day I will 🤗
