Shalom brother Matthew. My hubs used to do lunar sabbath, so we did briefly when we married. He changed along the way, studying it. Honestly, I can't Stand calendar stuff, for the bitterness that comes of it from many, so I stay away. I don't know what is the one truth for the calendar, and it shows that we are divided in general about this. I also don't allow it to be a big thing, to my best ability, so not perfect so whew lol. Anyway brother, I always appreciate you! We would have loved to have met you when we were in calhoun, lol. Shabbat shalom from our home to yours!! 🤗

This is my first time seeing your page .....the last few months the father has been taking me on a journey about the sabbaths. He was communicating me through scripture about profaning his Sabbath and his alter and I could not understand why 🤷
The Ruach has bought me to teachings that only have 20/30 viewings no big platforms and digging deep into history of hellel ll etc.
I did my first lunar count this month. And not doing the sat. Sabbath.
I had a plumber scheduled to come the new moon day
    He cancelled
My mother did arrange for something on the day which would be the Sabbath but today she cancelled.
I asked father to take control of these appointments if these days are truth.
    He answered 🥰
It lovely that I've come upon your page.
    Praise Yah ❤
I will watch and see what I shall learn.

      Dear brother,
if you want more information on that matter, I can help you out with that view :D. I also believe the day consists of morning and evening (portions of the day with light), not night (in modern times a "day" lasts until midnight...).
Here is one consideration to help you out with your studies on the calender:
Dear brother, I hope I can help you a bit out with a verse...
Psalm 104:19: "He appointed the moon for seasons: ..."
The word seasons is "mo'edim" and it is the word our Father in Heaven uses in the beginning (Genesis) for His feasts. The word means appointed times of Yahuwah, holy convocations and is often translated as feasts or festivals.
You can see right here, that He made the moon, so that we can calculate His feast days. This really includes also New Moon feasts, yearly feasts, but also the weekly feast.
So basically, this verse says, you can not find the weekly feast on a purely solar calender. You need the moon. The new moon automatically resets the whole month and weeks.
There is one nice video from Matthew, how he changed to the lunar Sabbath. He was basically asked, why he keeps the New Moon feasts and the yearly feasts by the biblical calender, but the weekly feast by the gregorian catholic solar calender?
      I hope this helps, blessings!

Having given serious consideration to the lunar Sabbath. I’ve never found the scripture verse that says to reset the week when you reset the month and to not count the new moon day as one of the days of the week.
I don’t honor Saturday as the Sabbath because it’s the seventh day of the week based on the Gregorian. I honor it as the seventh day the same as the Messiah did although it happens to land on the same day as Gregorian Saturday.
Also I really enjoy what you teach and if I lived nearby y’all I too, would attend your services as I appreciate your lessons very much.

Thank you for trying to help by sharing that verse. I see that you have copied and pasted it to a few other comments as well.
I have no dispute with YHWH appointing the moon for seasons.
However the sun is the heavenly light appointed for the days. I cannot infer from Psalm 104 the beginning of the month becoming the beginning of each week. They are free to operate independently from each other, because the different heavenly lights that governs them separately also function apart from one another. Six days we work and the seventh day rest. With the sun as the heavenly light governing each day the daily counting to the 7th day sabbath is Crystal clear to me.
      Blessings.

Is year 56 a year the LAND has a Sabbath? Why not? It would not be because you would start back at your counting of the jubilee years. So for 49 years every Sabbath rest for your land would be a multiple of 7 (7-14-21-28-35-42-49). Then there would be a Jubilee Year. 2 Sabbath YEARS back to back. I say this to point out that on Yah's calendar we do see a representation of a count starting over. The count for Jubilee goes up to the 50th year, and then starts over with year 1.

The word Moediem is only used in the later masoretic text of Psalms 104.
In the earlier LXX text it uses a word -kairos-(G2540) that means literally "seasons" like as in spring, summer, fall winter. Specific set periods of time.
This matches the Zadok/Enoch/ Jubilees/ Lunar Solar Calendar that uses the moon to mark the changing seasons. And celebrates 4 new moon days as new moon festivals.
This word carries a completely different meaning from the greek word for Appointed time found in Lev 23, which is heortḗ.

It is a walk of Faith, and He will test us over and over as His faithful Bride. I learned recently with alcohol, that I had to choose my stance on the Rock, rather than following drinkers, and myself constantly falling into drunkenness, and over indulgence with them. My stance became "no alcohol," since 1 glass lead to one too many every time for me. Although I did have a teen daughter at the time who walked it faithfully with me, and still does at 23; EVERYONE else tried to pull me back towards alcohol. And these were Christians and Torah keepers. I am in my 3rd year of abstinence, and I have discovered Sin and worldly Deception is a lot like ALCOHOL. Many who claim to FOLLOW will be caught in delusion, and try to sway you into something you know is Sin. Since 2017 when I found Yeshua is My Torah Light, I have had to fight MY sinful nature in many areas, but I find the hardest battles we face are the ones that leave us so lonely when friends and family are not walking with us. Or when they try desperately to pull us off the path we are on. I would not murder, no matter who tried to coerce me..... I would not commit adultery, no matter who demanded.... Why would I forget His Sabbaths and Feasts which have been revealed to me? I love you tremendously for your faith my sister and friend! No matter where you are, and how alone we are today in our suffering, we will meet one day in His glory, and TRUTH, and LIGHT! May YHWH bless you and keep you!

Shouldnt it be as simple as looking back in history to see what Calender was kept during the time when Yehshua was teaching in the synagogue and go with that or is that unknown to historians?I believe that the new year does not start in the Dead of winter but I also believe is 6 days of labour with a 7th day Sabbath. Probably both interpretations are wrong.

    • @alminc91
      @alminc91 6 місяців тому +2

You are absolutely right! I want to share something from history with you from my research:
I know of historical evidence, that shows how believers worked by the gregorian calender back then and hold the feasts by the biblical calender. Also, that even Romans (I believe) were aware of the traditional luni-solar calender and as well the modern gregorian calender.
During the time of the Messiah the Rome calender in existence was the Julian calender! Which has 8 days! Also, the days consisted of letters, A-H, not names, like "day of Saturn".
Findings from today we know of date the julian calender from 63 B.C. to 37 A.D. So I believe from history the Messiah used the biblical luni-solar calender, which is also connected to the flat earth creation model. Blessings!

From my understanding both were used Gregorian or Julian for the pagans and lunar for the people of Yah but after Yahusha Rome conquered them all and forbade even the Jews to follow the biblical calender otherwise they were heavenly persecuted and killed that's why many Jews converted to hellel ll 7th days sat after Constantine did his Sunday Sabbath it's all man made.
Destruction of the temple in 70AD not only destroyed the temple but everything else by the looks of it 😢
Even the name of Yah was forbidden to be said when he clearly states to proclaim his name
There history books for the pagans and history books for the people of Yah. You just have to determine which are for Yah's ppl. Both sides are going to say they are right
One thing I've learnt this year is the Bible is black history. 🤯

      @alminc91 6 місяців тому

@@paulwiederhold7629 hey dear brother :), first I believe your comment does not make Psalm 104:19 disappear :D. The truth conveyed in that verse is still true and was true. Because murder as a law is mentioned later, does not mean it was not valid from the very beginning. They definitely knew. You could argue the same about the biblical hebrew flat earth. The Psalms state that the Earth does not move and is still. It was so in the beginning also, when Moses and the others lived.
For example, if you use this logic for Creation, then the firmament and everything was not created the first day. Is the flat earth model invalid because of that? I don't think so. Also, the gregorian calender is based on the Sun. The moon and the sun were both created on the 4th day. So how can you calculate your Sabbath by the sun, as it did not exist during the first day? That logic is really a bit problematic, maybe you see my point.
I believe the Earth was perfectly prepared for human beings. Human beings were also not created as babies or eggs or sperms or so. They were created in their full state. So why could it not be possible that our heavenly Father accounted for this, that it is the fourth day, and He set moon and sun like a clock, to an already more advanced position? Just a point of view top think about. I am not sure if this is the perfect video for deep discussions :D, Matthew has covered really a lot in my opinion. And also other online ministries. Of course there are verses that say, work six days then rest. The important thing to understand is, that the month starts with a new moon cycle. The first day of the month in the Bible is then the New Moon feast, which will be celebrated forever! There are many verses on this topic. Then you work six days and keep rest on the seventh day.
Many people just forget about the New Moon feast and come up with these arguments, that there are more than six work days or so. But the New Moon Day is also a feast day. Blessings

@@Truelamb2024 good question dear brother or sister!
For example, in March there is 30-day month (also a new biblical year begins), so there is a "translation day", as it is astronomically called. The lunar cycle has about 29.5 days of length, so there are months with 29 or 30 days. Never more or less.
The 30th day would be between the Sabbath day, 29th, and a New Moon Day, the first of the next month.
There is no specific mention of it being a special feast day. It would be just a normal work day. That is what I meant, some people take is as an additional New Moon feast day, but essentially it is just a normal work day, in my opinion. You don't have to take off from work.
I hope that answer aids to enhance your understanding. Essentially, all nations had luni-solar calendars in ancient times (withouth a continuous weekly cycle of course! This is only possible, if you disregard the moon and nature). As far as I understand. Only Babylon adopted several hundred years before the Saviour was born, a continuous weekly cycle. Thus also the corruption of some Jews and believers and hence the (growing) observance of Saturday, which is noted in history. Even John MacArthur notes in his commentary of Amos 8:5 the use of an ancient lunar-based calendar in the Bible. Blessings.

Shalom bro. Matthew, this is a sincere question. It's a question that I ask anyone in regard to the calendar of Israel of the ancient past. Have you mapped out the crucifixion of Messiah and the events surrounding it, with the calendar that you follow? And does it fully agree with the scriptures and of it's timeline given? As followers of the Way, I believe it's important to know what year and month Messiah died and resurrected. By taking these steps personally, I was able to map out the calendar of the Pharisees and Levites. But, I haven't found anyone who strongly believes in their calendar to do the same, unless they just haven't gone public with it. If the Lunar Calendar passes the Passion Week test, this would be a necessary indicator if it's correct or not; but if there's contradictions to the timeline given in the NT and what actually happened then that would indicate an incomplete calendar. For example, during the ministry of Master Yeshua, the Pharisees, even based on Roman records, followed a Saturday Sabbath, which I've personally confirmed; therefore, using your Lunar Sabbath Calendar, which day of the Julian (or converted to Gregorian) day does the Lunar Sabbath fall on, during the Passion Week? Blessings be upon you and unto your family?

Brother Matthew, your teachings are an absolute blessing. I happen to be a 7th day sabbath keeper, yet I fully understand the lunar sabbatarian view. It does make a lot of sense to me, but I’m curious what your views are about the 1st century historical works that say the custom of the Jews/Judeans was to “rest on the day of Saturn.” Roman historian, Cassius Dio, and a Roman general named Frontinus both wrote that part of the Roman strategy in their wars against the Jews was to attack while the Jews rested on the day of Saturn (Saturday).
In Luke 4:16, it says that Yeshua entered the synagogue on the sabbath according to the his custom. I would imagine that his custom would be the customary day that all Jews celebrated the sabbath in the 1st century…which according to the historical narrative was the Roman “day of Saturn.”
I’m not trying to start an argument or sway you to believe in something different. I’m just genuinely curious. Shabbat shalom to you brother! And thank you so much for the wonderful teachings.

Dear brother, can you cite or provide any reference to these documents? I know of historical evidence, that shows how believers worked by the gregorian calender back then and hold the feasts by the biblical calender. Also, that even (I believe) Romans were aware of the traditional luni-solar calender and as well the modern gregorian calender.
During the time of the Messiah the Rome calender in existence was the Julian calender! Which has 8 days! Also, the days consisted of letters, A-H, not names, like "day of Saturn".
Findings from today we know of date the julian calender from 63 B.C. to 37 A.D. So the verse you cite refers to the luni-solar calender. it can not refer to the "day of Saturn", because that did not exist in Yahushua's times and so it was also not a custom back then. I hope it helps. Blessings!

@@alminc91sure thing! First, though, I believe you’re mistaken about the Julian calendar. From my research, it had a 7 day week.
Anyway, here are the citations for the information about the writings of Cassius Dio and Frontinus:
Cassius Dio, Roman History book 37, chapt 16 verse 2:
2 “For it was on high ground and was fortified by a wall of its own, and if they had continued defending it on all days alike, he could not have got possession of it. As it was, they made an exception of what are called the days of Saturn, and by doing no work at all on those days afforded the Romans an opportunity in this interval to batter down the wall.”
Cassius Dio, Roman History book 65, chapter 7 verses 1-2:
“Yet even under these conditions many captives were taken, among them Bargiora, their leader; and he was the only one to be executed in connexion with the triumphal celebration. 2 Thus was Jerusalem destroyed on the very day of Saturn, the day which even now the Jews reverence most.”
Frontinus, Strategem book 2, section 1 verse 17:
“The deified Vespasian Augustus attacked Jews on their sabbath, a day on which it is sinful for them to do any business, and so defeated them.”
That translation renders the Greek words “Saturni die” as sabbath…so to confirm this one you need to look into the Greek.
      Shalom brother!

Dear brother, I hope I can help you out a bit with one verse...

It is a line drawn in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where each new day begins at midnight. Notice the line is in the most desolate place they could find? And that a day begins at Midnight when no one will notice the switch, instead of beginning at sunset or sunrise! In the Samoan Islands and also the islands separating the time zones of Alaska and Russia, the Sun will be setting on neighboring islands right beside each other at exactly the same time. But it will be Saturday on one island, and Sunday on the other. The line has to be made in order to keep the illusion of a man made calendar. Without a line in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere, a new day cannot begin.🤔🤔🤔😮😮😮😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯

Didn't Jesus say He is Lord of the Sabbath several times? And since He knew no sin and broke no laws, how could Jesus let the Sabbath be any day of the week a 'Man' decides. I do not believe this lines up with Jesus' declaration that He did not come to do away with the Law and the Prophets - the Father established the Law and the Prophets taught and turned the people back to it.
God's system of Law and Prophets is perfect, and Jesus says I did not come to do away with perfection; I do the will of My Father and not My own... Even to death.
So as far as I can see the 7the day is the Sabbath. Because God established it, Jesus walked it out, and we are to follow our Lord''s path - not go off and make our own.

This is something I don’t understand and Roman’s chapter 14 teaches me to tolerate and embrace fellow Christians that worship different than me, so that’s what I do. The fact of the matter is after being born again late 2019 I have read and reread the entire Bible more than a few times. Both old and New Testament. If I read the Old Testament by itself too much I want to follow the law. When I read just the New Testament I feel completely different. Now that I read both everyday it’s easier to understand that the old covenant is over and abolished in every way. Paul poses the question in Galatians to those that wish to be under the law, have you read the law? The Old Testament was written with 613 laws that all had to be followed to obtain righteousness however even if followed completely it still needed followed with a sacrifice through a kid or a lamb for atonement. That atonement has been made forever more through the blood of Jesus Christ. The law has been abolished and only those that still choose to follow the law will be called “the least of these” in the kingdom of heaven. I love you but if you are following the law and observing old feast days you will in no ways lose your salvation but you will be called the least of us when Christ returns. God bless

@@Truelamb2024 the full quote makes my point even better. From the KJV it states:17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. “Not sure what corrupt version you were using”? Now quoted in context I can further explain the point I was hoping you could come to on your own. Not one jot or tiddle shall pass away from the law. Therefore you are required to follow the whole law all 613 of them from the smallest to the greatest of laws. Since there is no temple for the last 2000 years no one has followed the full law since then. Therefore the only atonement for sins is through the blood shed by Christ Jesus. Faith in him is all that saves. So it goes without saying that if you are putting your faith in eternal salvation through your followings of Jewish laws which cannot be followed it’s a false gospel. Galatians chapter 1:8,9 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Since the Bible will never contradict itself the teaching is plain and as obvious as the nose on your face.

@@Truelamb2024 Hello and welcome to this beautiful Lords day of Monday. Thank you for bringing up Paul he is after all the apostle to the gentiles and a pharisse. Or at least he was when he was just Saul the Christian killer. He wrote in Romans chapter 14 beginning at verse 5-9 from the only book that can be called The Holy Scriptures the KJV, 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
If you choose to worship on Saturday than do that but don’t judge others who choose to worship on Sunday, or even others that worship the lord Jesus everyday. As for sabbath worship have you never done a study of the New Testament of the word sabbath? Well you are lucky I have, in every instance that that word is used where the Lord Jesus is concerned he is breaking the Sabbath, in many cases it’s the scribes and pharisees that are chiding him about it however at every instance he rebukes them and continues to break the sabbath laws with his disciples.
That said in every instance and example you give the temple was standing and the Jewish people were still the children of the Lord and his promised people. When he died that all began to change and in 70AD when Jerusalem was destroyed along with the city itself being Jewish and following the law was no longer an option for salvation. At that point you had to believe on the Lord Jesus to obtain salvation. Again we hear Paul who says in Romans chapter 10 verse 4, 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Well Sir I say that my family and I believe and shall follow the law that is written on our hearts through the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit and I invite you to do the same.
As for Peter I am happy that you brought him up because didn’t he baptize the first non Jew and his entire family when given a vision by the Lord? Again it was Peter who was brought up Galatians chapter 2 verses 11-21 I could have just used a couple verses here but the whole is relevant I must include it. 11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Here it shows Peter the rock living as the gentiles, eating with them, living as them, eating pork probably, breaking the sabbath, and who know what other laws and you know what happened? He was scared by those of the circumcision to stop and to continue to not worship Jesus correctly and live as a Jew. Well Paul disputed him to his face, which is what I am doing with you. Christianity is the new covenant and in the book of Revelation when it speaks of commandments that need to followed it is speaking of those commandments that are given in the same book in like chapter 2’ish. Forgive me for not researching for you but I have things to do and places to be. Again I say to thee, I love you as I am commanded to do. But I will dispute you to your face when you are wrong and us the words of scripture to attempt to bring you closer to the Lord Jesus as the Bible tells me to do. Seriously do the word study of every time Jesus brings up sabbath it will show you more than I can.

@@Truelamb2024 Thank you and I do wish the same to you. Jesus lived like a Jew because he was a Jew when the law was still applicable. That is no longer the case and what was revealed to Peter and Paul from the Lord Jesus. I do recommend studying the sabbath and what Jesus personally preached about it. Have a blessed day.

I can help. Paul ends keeping Sabbath on a certain day. Paul claims he gets his understanding from dreams and visions. Paul never once quotes Jesus in any teaching. Paul says jts unlawful to repeat what he learns from his dreams and visions. Jesus says there is no private interpretation to scripture. Why not listen to Jesus and his FATHER, his GOD when they say Sabbath is for all generations. Sabbath is practiced 85 times in the book of Acts. If the apostles kept it on the 7th day we all should. Even the pope has said publicly Christians are on the wrong day.

I'm really sorry brother but the week always has 7 days. it never has nine days or ten days or eight days. It only has seven days. If I said that I worship the father from week to week, month to month, year to year, you would not assume that the week starts on the new month. It is a 7 day cycle and always will be. And if the Sabbath is not on the 7th Day why does the church work so hard to move it to the 1st day? Love you brother, keep up the good works.

Is the 56th year a Sabbath rest for the LAND? Why or why not?

Sorry, but scripture does say the sun and moon set the moedim (appointed times), and are for Signs (Oth). The moon clearly is used to delineate a month on the Hebrew Calendar for all the Feasts of our Creator. Please tell me which verse points to this in Scripture? How do we know when a month begins to start the count for our Feast days? How do we know when the new year begins? Why do some years have 12 months in and some years have 13 MONTHS (Adar 1 and Adar 2)???? Isn't adding an extra month kinda like adding those extra moon days?

@@LightSeekers777 I'm only saying that a new month does not reset the weekly cycle. it is a seven day repeating cycle, and cannot have extra days.

@@Truelamb2024 I wonder why the moon has phases that are 7 days apart? I wonder why each phase happens as the sun and moon are in the same position as hands on a clock?🕒🕕🕘🕛. ..... It would seem to one who is observant at the beginning and ending of a day, that God's creation proclaims His Sabbath just by looking up. No imaginary national date line needs to be drawn in the Pacific Ocean where it is 2 different days at exactly the same time. That only happens on the Gregorian calendar. Sunday in the western Samoan Islands, and Saturday in the American (eastern) Samoan Island, because the new day has to begin somewhere 🤔🤯.... It just so happens that men tried to hide it with an international date line in the middle of the least populated area, and in the middle of the night! The true calendar uses no pagan names, just the lights as a clock in the heaven, and the phases of the moon.

@@MattithyahuL Actually, no, every 49th year, and 50th year are Sabbath rests for the land. The count then begins again, so it is not continual. It starts again with 1 and goes through 50, 🤔

I openly profess this is not about salvation........The Lunar Sabbath is unbiblical and people give their private interpretations to teach it such as many lunar guys work 8 days strait before their next rest.

  • @minnesota630

The Sabbath may have linked up perfectly with the lunar cycle before the flood, the bible doesn't say. But the commandment is clear with a six and one cycle, and yes Friday night to Saturday night sunset is the Sabbath.
