We've got a lb341 in the UK last season, cannot speak highly enough of it. You cannot seem to block it , even when damp. One of the big selling point for us was that we can get away with 6195 on it. The claas needs 7290 for the same output. Never had a single breakdown. Buy it....

17 minutes of straight to the points, no hemming nor hawwing with constant redundancy. Everything well said.
I'm curious about the cost:benefit ratio of a refurbished modified Hesston-Pandy 4910 Baler @ $25,000 compared to the more expensive new balers.

I didn't buy a krone as I don't really like towing 4 extra tons of steel around for absolutely no reason.

I also whole heartedly agree about the looks of these new balers. I am not a fan of the rolling suppository look, give me some angled sheet iron and I will be happy. I wonder too if all the plastic/fiberglass sides on these machines might cause static which would make the dust cling to them?

@@onelonleyfarmer I will have to check out the kuhn version. These look like a good machine but I am with you on the cost, why buy the next to best when you can buy the best for the same money. The only reason I could think would be financing, deere does offer some good deals from time to time. I am not familiar with the krone dealers and how they do with finance, but I might be finding out. We are looking at buying a new moco and our local guy has some krone rigs on the lot.

The last bale eject does lay flat, in the position its in now its towards the rear witch makes the ejectors move up to engage the bale. And It does have paddles in the top of the pre compression chamber that when the material has formed a flake compresses them and actuates a cable that runs down to the stuffer mechanism. Deere made a lot of improvement to the 341 over the 340 and definitely over the kuhn baler.

I guess your movie idea got to him. He had to emphasize to remember baler wars was his idea. He thought of it. He went out of his way to make that point. The wars won't last long as soon as he starts getting out baled he'll probably get mad and delete the channel. I'm personally not a fan of that feeding system. Had a round baler with similar set. I think it creates more slugs and puts more hay on the outside when baling a full width swath. Where the augers separate from from rotor pushes the crop together more uniform before being pulled in.

My baler is high enough density to earn me plenty of profit per bale, what other reason is there.
Obviously any one who doesn't have a krone is in the wrong I suppose.
The resale value on my kuhn is exactly the same as the big pack, but 100,000 NZD cheaper to purchase, with a much better service from my Kuhn dealer than the krone dealer.

Nigel Clats I never said that your wrong I just said you don’t know the reason! I to was like you when it came to what I had. Now I know the reasons why I no longer own the cheaper lighter Baler. If your happy with what you have than that’s good. But when you want something different than I suggest looking into a commercial Baler.
