Love this walk, I was there three weeks ago, walked the cinder track to RBH, and walked the cliff top back. But the point where you recorded the coast cafe sign, where that gate is in the background on the cinder track - well my late grandparents had a caravan on Seaview just the other side of the hedge. Happy memories, and my favourite place and walk. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Simon lovely to see you & Mrs M ,excellent video such a lovely day to do this walk & the views at Bay Ness beautiful!! I'm sure that was a welcome pork pie & bacon bun you had. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your day, thank you for sharing, take care chin, chin.
Definitely one for next time we’re In Whitby, I’ve done the coastal path between RHB and Whitby a few times. Last time I struggled, age had caught up with me. Many years ago we did Staithes to Whitby and ended up getting the bus back from Sandsend. We’ve also done Helmsley to Rievaulx Abbey and back that I’d highly recommend. I think the Cleveland Way is one of the more interesting paths in England.
Great video ,,thanks Simon..we are coming to Whitby for a few days on 10 may and bringing our bikes and was thinking about the cinder track from Whitby to rhb..👍👍👌👌😊😊
What a fantastic video Simon with awesome views.Mrs M not even breaking sweat. PS also great to see her getting more confident on camera Si....top couple
Hey Simon That was Champion 🏆 What a smashing walk with beautiful views of the coastline . A walk like, has certainly put colour in both your cheeks. Nice to see you both spending quality time together . Well done ...👏 It goes to shows you don't have to run about ,a good walk gives you all the exercise you 'll ever need. Thanks for sharing & Chin,Chin 🫡
Beechings Folly is every walkers benefit with wonderful sights and sounds of the North Yorkshire coast. Robins hood bay is well worth a visit too. Love these videos Simon more of the same please. Wonder if it's still £2 to get back to Whitby on the bus as pre COVID it was expensive.
Done that walk a few times and carried on to Scarborough via the cinder track ( thorpe lane in Robin hoods bay) or down to the cottage and the steps beside it for the cleveland way ( much harder) mrs M looks in good shape i reckon she does a fair bit of walking.
When our children were small we used to stay on the caravan site where the cafe many years ago. I had a child seat on my bike and I used to take my son for a ride along the track. It’s quite a long incline coming back, I was coming back up the incline and got a decent pace going and my son suddenly shouted “stop”, so I did only for my son to say “look dad, you can see where the old train line used to be” pointing down at the impressions of the old sleepers. Grrr had to start pedalling back up the hill to gain back momentum. Funny looking back at it.
In the summer it's better to get a bus out & walk it back as the bus is normal full when it gets to robin hoods bay .as I know from the last time I did this walk.
Simon, the divine Mrs M. Fabulous walk. Brilliant scenery. Old ma nature at her finest. And me & the wife at home in West Hampstead London. Are absolutely shattered, knackered and fit for nowt. 🥵🥵 We salute you both, and thank you for the best 28.37 of our day🥂🍷🍷🍾Tally ho Allan&Family

Hi Simon.. just a quick question..what's the best place in whitby for a Sunday dinner ? We tried to book at the pier Inn but they don't do them anymore. Gutted !!
Single line trains use a 'token', you collect it at one end of the single line, and leave it at the end, If you don't have the token, you can't travel along the line.

If you can manage the cinder track, get a bus back from RBH to Whitby - the buses are not far from the old post office at the top of the hill in RBH.
@@DS-cf1zc Absolutely. I’ll be having a few scoops after the walk! 🍺🍺🍺🍺
