I use an X-100f for the Dance Floor at parties and wedding shoots. It just makes everything feel more fun when using it. I just use the built-in flash and get some of that 90s instant camera look.
Just found you - great content and a really nice look to your talking head videos. I am a long-time Fuji user (many bodies/lenses) but have not used them for talking head videos. I am curious which lens you are using with your X-H2S for this?
Going to hopefully get the x100vi for my daily carry, I have a h2s which I love. I was tempted by the xt5 but like the smaller form of the x100 even if it lacks dual slots, battery etc..
@@martingreenberg870yeah they’re both fixed lens cameras but they are different. Full frame and APSC, 28mm and 35mm equivalent, 1.7f and 3.5f equivalent, simplicity and more features etc etc
Hi john, im gonna get a fuji for thr first time and want to do wedding photography in uk, what camera do you reccomend from: X-T5, X-H2 OR X-H2S? also what lens should i start out with? I can only get 1 possibly 2...
I did buy an X100VI because it is thin enough to fit in my pocket and had a better lens than a pancake on an X-T30 *and* mostly for nostalgia: the X100S was the first FujiFilm camera I ever bought that pulled me away from Canon DSLRs. My main camera bodies are X-H2, X-Pro2, and X-T4. I strongly considered buying a X-T5 and even the X-S20; but, in the end I decided the X100VI would be more fun. And so far I was right.
Hey, JB! Great seeing you at ImagingUSA! I’ll be keeping my X100V and not upgrading, mostly because I got it at The Portrait Masters in Arizona earlier in 2023. Also, looking at those XT-5s for overall wedding photography. A little skeptical about AF because I’m a lifelong (and spoiled) Canon shooter that doesn’t miss. Thoughts?!

You brought me into the fuji world. I first saw a video of you and I liked your gear. I know how holdfast products and fuji products. I bought the xt4, xt5, and now I have the x100vi. I ordered it right after the japan announcement and received it about a week later.
the space i see this camera filling in my wedding kit is as a C cam. I've got my two XT5s on a dual strap, and I could see myself using the x100vi around my neck to get quick moment shots and maybe even some short video clips. Also of course could be easily used for all my personal shooting with my family
Yeah that sounds like a great setup actually. Also maybe during cocktail hour or something like that. As a nice candid style of "old school" photography with direct flash. I think it would look great and it's kind of the in style right now.
@@jbivphotography that’s exactly how I used my x100v before I sold it for a second XT5. I still regret selling it, it filled such a niche but important spot for me
I think the people who gravitate towards these cameras will love it. For me I love the feel of my X-H1 and X-H2. I never really had much interest in the smaller cameras. I am however the opposite of you John, instead of 5 cameras, I have two but with 11 XF lenses.

I also wished it possessed the ability to quickly switch between photo and video. I’m tempted by the xt5 too.
Laughing. “I have too many cameras.” Oh yes! I’m down to 4 that I use. Hurt to weed them out.
I’m selling my Sony kit, a7iii and prime lenses, and keeping my Leica q2 and fujifilm x100vi.
Isn’t there an overlap between the Q2 & VI other than the focal length?

Excellent review, yes I got a X100vi to complement my XT5. Loving it is far, simplicity is a virtual.
